I've been listening to this song on and off the past couple of days, and in my opinion it's better than some of the songs that did make it onto Street Angel... does anyone else think it should have made the final cut in the place of another song?

Also, why do you think Stevie decided to record God's Garden, considering that she didn't write it herself? I love the lyrics...

I think it should have been on there..it could have replaced quite a few other less-than-stellar songs....although..i do think Stevie's voice in stronger now than it was then,so it would be great if she re-recorded it.

what the chances are that "God's Garden" could make it onto a future 'Mac album?...Would be cool to hear IMO, Brian

I think very little, as Stevie didn't write this song. There have only really been what, two songs on all the Rumours FM albums that weren't written at least in part by the singer -- Blue Letter and Seven Wonders (okay, Stevie gets credit for additional lyrics for mishearing and saying "All the way down to Emmeline"). I think that's why they didn't make the cut on Street Angel...even though I don't understand why they couldn't be on there. At this time pretty much everything was going on cd's, and there's definitely enough "room." Which makes me wonder why Stevie was forced to cut some songs from TISL...there's a good 15-20 minutes left for room on there. Plus, they put these songs on the Japanese album cut. I have the two songs, but I don't think I've ever really listened to them. But, I doubt they'd put it on a Mac album, but we can't exclude possible Stevie solo albums.

I love Docklands! But anyway, God's Garden, Mirror Mirror, and Inspiration should have been on the album. They're amoung some of her best songs.
