I agree. I was blown away the first time I heard this version of Juliet. I bet If Stevie spent more time with the MAC during the Tango sessions this song could have made the final cut.

Sorry, I don't like it at all. Stevie's voice is the main reason. I think Lindsey did a fine arrangement, but Stevie sounds like she is just spewing out the lyrics. The OTOTM version feels more polished, like Stevie actually feels what she is singing...

Is the Tango version posted anywhere..I would love to hear it and can't beleive I never knew it was demo'd for Tango. Juliet is maybe my favorite song on OSOTM!

I like it actually. I'm not sure why, but I'm very fond of it.

Ok this sucks.

I think I have everything then I realize I don't because Im not aware of THIS Juliet demo.

Now are there Tango demos out there and this was included or is this in a Stevie demo set? I'll have to look thru mine, but Im pretty sure I don't have it.

I LOVE the Tango mixes I must say, Seven Wonders I adore!

I like Stevie's voice rougher--I like the fact that they changed the RAL songs because the demos were softer and I prefer her rocking...so I think Id be included in those who LIKE the Juilet demos! I wish I could HEAR it...:(

the Juliet demo I have is a rocker so Janet you might really like it!!
another good place to request demos from is from the Enchantress website

I just love this song...both the final and demo version. It makes sense that she would present this song to FM cause I always think of Mick during the first verse...

"But she was like some missionary dancing to the beat of some
man's ancient drum
And she tries hard to tell this story...but it's a hard one to tell
She consults her book of Miracles..."

plus she mentions the blue lamp...

plus she mentions us the fans..."they were really good strangers"

plus it contains one of my favorite the lyrics "She says "The sky is crying." He says "No, the sky is blue." it's soooo true, Stevie should get royalties from that author of Women are from Venus, Men are from Mars...

an additional plus 'cause she uses this lyric again on one of her softer demos Don't Treat Me Like a Stranger. which is one of my favorite things about all of Stevie's songs... the way they link together through the lyrics...
