I don't think Sharon or Mindy are married - probably too much traveling!

But that brings up a question that I've been wondering about. Why don't we ever see Sara Fleetwood anywhere? If she is Stevie's best friend and they share the same house in L.A. then how come we never see her at any of the shows or appearances? Just wondering?

Get what? I'm lost...

It's all kind of weird though, isn't it? Didn't Sara start dating Mick after (or still sort of during) while Mick and Stevie were having an affair? Or have I forgotten the details? Weird that they could end up still good friends after that. It's a weird world they live in.. Don Henley is married but still sends her roses, Stevie says her and Lindsey will always be soulmates and they are still in love when they sing their songs together, but he's married with children...Stevie shares her house with her friend who once moved in on Mick, who was married while he and Stevie were "together"...and do they ever wonder why these relationships don't last forever? It's not *just* the road...lol!

when i first checked the replies, pip had 3 of the same message on here. i was saying "we get it" cause it was repetative. get it?

and i don't know how stevie could ever talk to her again. yes mick was cheating on his wife with stevie. BUT...if you're my FRIEND, you should not go behind my back and do that, and i don't care if i'm doing it, cause that's NOT THE POINT. the point is, YOU'RE MY FRIEND! u understand what i'm trying to say here? and i could care less if they did eventually get married and if they fell in love, SO WHAT! she still did that to stevie and that was wrong.

just goes to show that stevie has a very big and forgiving heart. i don't know if i could be capable of doing that. knowing me, the police wouldn't be able to find them when i got finish! lol!

Ya, it *is* weird. When Sara toured with Stevie for Street Angel and was even on the album I was surprised. And not all that thrilled. I was thinking, hmmm, Stevie and Mick got in a big fight, and now Stevie is taking Sara on the road with her. lol! Who knows. But I guess it had been many years ago that it all happened...

As for Stevie having the affair with Mick, when a guy will cheat on his wife to have a mistress, most likely he will also have no problem cheating on his mistress to find a new mistress. There is some saying about that, about how the ex-girlfriend's tears will someday meet up with the current girlfriend's tears in the river someday, because if the guy cheated on one girl for another, he will most likely do the same to that new girlfriend someday too. Men! lol!

I saw Sara Fleetwood backstage at the last LA show. She walked right past me and I couldn't believe it was her!

Wow, how cool Michelle.
I'm not sure if I would recognize her if I saw her. I've only seen a few pictures of her. I wonder what happened to her other roommate Liza Edwards? She hasn't mentioned her in a long time. I like to know these things because I need to make sure that Stevie isn't lonely - ya know.

Yes I understand completely! I wasn't sure it was her at first either.. which is why I had to do a triple take... LOL. I didn't totally freak out until I knew it was her for sure and then I stopped looking. I actually wanted to go up to her and maybe take a picture, but she was so busy into her conversation with Sharon Celani.. I didn't want to intrude.

It's unfair to single out Sara for disapproval when Stevie herself cheated with Mick on his then-wife Jenny.

I think the whole Fleetwood Mac clan -- friends, family, lovers -- engaged in plenty of partner-swapping & swinging during the band's glory days. That is -- or was -- rock & roll, I guess.

Yes, she was married at the time she and Mick hooked up. I think Fleetwood Mac and their friends and spouses and who dated who.. who married who.. who is having an affair with who is just so fascinating. Eventually, they all end up with each other at some point don't they.. lol

lol....I'm confused. Actually, I think I knew all of this...but it just sounds so messed up when it's all there at once. Mick cheated on his wife w/Stevie...then, cheated on his wife AND Stevie w/Sara...and Sara cheated on her husband w/Mick...and now Sara is Stevie's best friend...or ONE of them anyway...??? lmao. No wonder they were so screwed up.

LMAO....it's a good thing none of them had kids together...kinda makes me think of that Ray Stevens song "I'm My Own Grandpa".

LOL, that would have been weird, to say the least!

I am not putting Sara down for cheating, or Stevie. It's their life. I am just saying it would be hard when it's your best friend who starts sleeping with your lover. That's all. Regardless of who's married, who's cheating...whatever. It's just hard if it's your *friend* that gets together with you ex, or even worse, your current love!

I've said this on the boards before, and I'll say it again now.

Having all of that fame and money, and mass adulation washing over you can really mess with your head.
Try to realize when we are examining their lives that they do not move in the same cirlcles us "everyday" folks do, nor do they feel they have to answer to the small rules we do.
It doesn't mean they are bad people or that they even have bad morals, it just means their world is very diffrerent, particularly in the "glory days" we call them.
There was very little impulse control going on with anyone at that time. They were all used to getting whatever they wanted, they had people waiting on them hand and foot, and they controlled alot of people's jobs.
When you can buy and sell anything you want, to be told you can't have something makes it all the more attractive.

That's what led to alot of this stuff we scratch our heads about.
Just remember, most poeple never reach those kinds of heights or have to deal with situations like that.
It all just makes it seem like Babylon from our perspective, doesn't it?

just to add my two cents, it's interesting to read Ty posts since she is young and was not around for the "free love" late 60's,70's and early 80's. And lots of young people have developed the same opinions as Ty because they have to live in a world with AIDS. Whereas the older posters, myself included, were young during the 70's so we had a very different experience with love and sex. I'm not saying my life was as wild as Stevie's back then, I was not rich and did not become addicted to drugs but I did have fun during the late 70's and early 80's and really don't have any regrets at this point and look back fondly on those times.

As far as cheating goes, you really need the perspective of time to realize this area becomes very grey...experience is the only real teacher on this subject but suffice it to say, it is many many years you spend when you are dedicated to only one person. It is not always happily ever after, temptation is hard to resist and it will probably be one of your greatest accomplishments that you can remain faithful to one person...but you also realize not too judge others to harshly if they slip and fall in this life... :)

Ty and every other young poster, keep your ideals for as long as you can, life will catch up with it's heartache soon enough...

I think the key to Stevie & Sara's enduring friendship... and Lindsey & Stevie's renewed friendship... and the fact that Stevie & Don are still close... is called forgiveness.

You either go thru your life terminally bitter about things that happened in the past... or you accept that you can't change those things, make your peace with it, and move on.

Not that Stevie, et al., were always able to do that, I'm sure... but they have done that now.
Forgiveness comes with maturity, and maturity comes with forgiveness.

Yes, that's right Bella and Johnny!

And like Stevie herself said:
"During the time from the invention of the birth control pill and AIDS, we did it alot!"

Haha!!

It was a diffrerent world then, and when you throw in all the temptations they had, well, it all adds up to Fleetwood Mac!

Rock on, guys!

Just to add my 2 cents here..I really don't think i could deal too well with musical sex partners...i do think it has alot to do with,as Bella said, the way things are now..AIDS,etc...but i also agree with Mimi...i don't think i could have friends who did stuff like that...I am sure it all comes down to the way things were back then, and i am sure they all had a good time...but i am not sure even if i was transplanted back to that time being the age that i am now, that i would be cool with it..I am glad that Stevie and all of her bedmates and friends are cool now,lol..but i guess it just comes down to the fact that people are always gonna feel different about certain situations.

Sorry Mimi. I was responding partly to your post about how weird that could have been if they had kids. But then I was responding to David's post. I should have done a quote to make that clear, but I actually don't know how - lol! But here, I did a cut and paste instead...Here is what I was responding to from David:

"It's unfair to single out Sara for disapproval when Stevie herself cheated with Mick on his then-wife Jenny."

I just wanted him to know I wasn't saying Stevie is so great that I think she can get away with it, but no one else (like Jenny) can. My point wasn't about if it's right or wrong to cheat on someone, but was about how it would suck if your *best friend* did it to you, and then how hard I thought it would be to end up friends with them again someday. I actually agree with all your posts on it. I feel the same way. (Great minds think alike! Heh! :) )

Not That Funny, is it? It will only result in more people putting her and those silly sig lines into the "ignore" bin along with the rest of the kids who do it. You get more attention by being considerate to fellow posters. Look at how nice some people have been--yourself included--shortening and editing their sigs. I feel good that I may have helped heighten awareness of how annoying these things are to some of us. Sig line abuse and gloating over it shows how immature some youngsters can be. Sig LINES are really meant to be just that--a signature LINE. As in---> ONE LINE. Not acres of paragraphs of stoner quotes and entire lyric booklets transcribed. But like I said, I have the option of putting them into the "ignore" bin. Of course, if the poster is interesting, and actually has some intelligent Mac posts and knowledge, I would want to read his/her posts and would wade through the mucky sig-epics to see what they have to say. :wavey: ;)

Well, I am not a "young one" but I still have my opinion. Whether I am 18, 25, or 55, I am going to be hurt if my lover cheats on me. And if they cheated on me with a friend, it'd feel even worse. I'd get over it (been there, done that). But I would not feel it was "no big thing." I can see where after many years, people do forgive and forget. Yes. But it's still not exactly plain and simple. "Oh ya, I was in love with "Ed" and "Sue," my very best friend, slept with him. But oh well! Hee hee! Girls will be girls! So ya, her and I are getting an apartment together next week, and shopping for furniture together!" I think to act like it is no big deal and that it is the average run of the mill situation is not true. If that's what your circle of friends and family are like - wow. Sorry to hear. Mine is not. And no, I'm not some idealistic teenager.

I don't think aids has anything to do with cheating on someone who's married. Yes, there was a lot more "free love" back in the days, but still, so that meant that cheating on your spouse was okay?

Anyways, I didn't even get into the whole part of whether cheating is right or wrong (sh*t happens). I am just saying I personally would find it hard to remain friends if one of them slept with my husband or boyfriend. That's all.

One more thing before I put you in the Ignore Bin, Ty. You don't
have to quote an ENTIRE message when you respond to someone. What's more annoying than scrolling down through your 7,865 sig lines is that you unecessarily quote the ENTIRE message (which like someone said, we already read, thanks) and then you respond with like two-words. OMG. ;) So anyone reading your messages has to scroll down through even more muck. You also seem like a very angry person. Try not to be. No one was rude to you. Now...off you go into my Ignore Bin! Chickenshack....please give it a rest now. I know Mimi and you sure touched a nerve here. I listened to the 'opinions' about sigs and I did choose to shorten mine. But please lighten up on this thing. I am not a kid (totally presumtuous of you BTW) so that isn't the reason I had quite a few sigs....I just thought it was fun and didn't know it bothered anyone. Not one person previous to this thread directed any comments to me about my sigs. Had I received a polite pm I would have shortened what I had long before now.

You seem to think you speak for the whole board on this subject and that everyone finds sigs rude and inconsiderate....know this for a fact do you? I'm sure most people couldn't care less and have far more important things to worry about.

Also I think you will find that most people on this board quote entire messages when responding to them. There is no right or wrong way of doing this ...we just all muddle through the best we can. There is no need to be picky

I am not wishing to argue with you or anyone as everyones opinion counts but there is a much better way of getting people to listen to you....RESPECT

Pip

you need to mind you're own business and keep my damn parents out of it! THAT WAS NOT NECESSARY!

and let me ask you this: do you ever reply to any posts where ppl are not going at it? or do you just sit there, in your little room, and wait for a fight? you need to get a life! buy one if you have to!

I can't wait to come onto the Ledge at the end of my workday to share a common interest with people all over the world. I can't imagine getting so angry over such trivial things like a few Mac quotes.

Is it really necessary to have the last word? Respond to the people you enjoy and don't respond to those with whom you have a problem. Its soooo easy to be nice.

could everyone PLEASE keep this to PM's because it's annoying finding whole threads that are just arguments.

The most sensible quote from this entire thread! Thanks Laurarox ...let's just get back to the subject we all have in common....Fleetwood Mac!

Errrrrrrmmm --You're addressing the wrong person. Ty has been placed into my Ignore Bin. Re-read the thread as to who was totally out of line to whom. I wasn't the one who sprouted horns and had froth flying out of my mouth, dear. She's an angry, miserable little girl with a grand sense of entitlement coupled with low self-esteem. I feel badly for her. Nuff said.

Oh for god's sake..were you raised in a nunnery??? People get pissed off, they react..it is a natural thing...and I am sure her parents ARE proud..that she has a mind of her own and doesn't take any s**t...I know i am being somewhat rude here(oh boy,bet my parents would LOVE to know that huh?),but this is so ridiculous...ooh...let's complain about people's signatures...cause it is SO difficult to scroll the mouse...

Are you trying to tell me that the Moderators are CONDONING this sentiment? I don't care how young someone is or how angry they are, isn't ordering someone to 'die fast' a little over-the-top? Just how far can we go now? Because I've got lots and LOTS of stuff I'd like to say...but good manners have thus far prevented me from posting them. Is it now open season? Has restraint been tossed out the window...along with 8-10 former Ledge members?

Don't EVEN get me started about how much bandwidth those quoted posts & sig lines take up.

Well, it looks like I have to interrupt visiting with my relatives from Oklahoma... whom I havent seen in three years... to intervene here.

I strongly suggest that all parties concerned, let this drop.

No one needs to get in another attempt at "the last word" (let's face it, no one is going to get that satisfaction unless I close the thread, which I shouldnt have to do), and no one needs to fire-off another dig, or another sarcastic comment.

I'm not trying to sound condescending, but perhaps this would be a good time for everyone to step back and wonder why they're letting petty arguments with people they've never met before, and probably never will, become such a huge issue.

For pete's sake, this is just a message board... it's not the be all and end all of the world.
Enjoy it for what it is, and let's all try to not take ourselves so seriously.

Something else to consider... and this has been suggested before... The Ledge has a nifty little Ignore feature.
If you don't care for someone, for any reason at all, please feel free to put them on Ignore.
It will save you, me, and everyone here, a lot of grief.

Thank you,
Johnny Stew

Wrong, dear. I have a mind of my own, and I sure as **** don't take any ****, BUT--Telling strangers on a message board to "die fast" when they offer you practical suggestions isn't a "natural thing" at all. It's indicative of rather serious difficulities in dealing with fellow human beings. The world "sociopath" is too strong in this case but she needs to see there are going to be people who will try to offer her some suggestions in her life, and she better get used to respecting people, and realizing the sun rises in the morning whether she gets up, or not. There was nothing said to her that warranted that outrageous string of insults and her tantrum. Especially to someone new on the board. She was like a 2 year old holding her breath and turning blue. "I will do as I WANT TO WAH WAH WAH." It was laughable, really. But as Peter Green would say to us all OH WELL!

THIS MESSAGE IS TO EVERYONE:

yes i said "die fast" cause i could care less if she died tomorrow. (and that goes for anyone else here that i don't like) obviously some of you people have not read the posts that she has directed to me. y should i sit here and let someone talk junk to me? i don't have to put up with that, so i'm not going to. and if it was not her intent to seem nasty, then she, and everyone else for that matter, should learn to make themselves CRYSTAL CLEAR.

i started this thread about stevie's back-up singers, then somehow sara got involved, then i stated my OPINIONS on that matter, then i was called "unfair" for stating my OPINIONS NOT FACTS, then somehow the length of signatures got involved. so.....this thread is no longer about stevie's back-up singers, it's a thread about my signatures. signatures!!!!!!? SOMETHING THAT HAS ABSOLTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS THREAD!! the fact is, if any one of you had a problem with my signatures, you SHOULD have replied nicely asking me politely to shorten it OR sent me a pm. i will only give respect when it is given to me. i do not have to be kind and show courtesy to anyone that does not give it to me. and that's that. y should anyone here have to put up with smartass remarks?

my opinions and feelings are just that, MINE. i totally respect someone who disagrees with me. i don't expect everyone here on the ledge to agree with everyone. but, i refuse to respect you when you don't respect me. don't tell me that i'm being unfair, being mean, whatever. who are any of you to tell me this? do any of you know me? NO YOU DON'T! agreeing to disagree is one thing, but harrassing me about what i feel is something totally different.

those of you who have gone back and forth with me on this thread, and the ledge in general, are on my ignore list and that's exactly what you shall be.......IGNORED! i would be very surprised if i didn't get a reply to this post because, of course, what i feel is wrong lol! oh well, you all can think whatever you want about me. it really doesn't matter because nothing will change.

Okay. Not to be a put down, ChickenShack, but it just seems to me that if I were to go ahead and put someone in my ignore bin, then I wouldn't bother talking about them either. I would *ignore* them...

Anways, so Lori is the only background singer married, huh? And to Stevie's brother - how cool! I miss her on the road though. I always really like her and Sharon together singing background vocals. But I would do the same thing. Being a mother I know I would hate to leave my child to go tour. I enjoy the "domestic" life! :)

OMG. ;) So anyone reading your messages has to scroll down through even more muck. You also seem like a very angry person. Try not to be. No one was rude to you. Now...off you go into my Ignore Bin! Good luck!! :wavey:

You know I don't know you but who the F~@# do you think you are telling people how many sigs they can have???
If reading this board is so much hard work for you why bother coming here???

i was upset when i went to the tisl concert and didn't see lori. i thought she would have done the tour since she did the album, but i guess there will be no more of that.

hey! for those of you that has seen her on stage with sharon and stevie, would you rather see her than mindy? i'm not putting mindy down, but i've never had the change to hear lori live. does she do it better?

Cool picture! That must have been really neat to meet her.

Mimi, I saw Lori on the RAL tour. Nothing against Mindy at all. I just was used to Lori and Sharon from the Bella Donna beginning - lol! I don't take change well, I guess! Hee hee! But no, I always really liked their voices together. This may not go over well with all the Sheryl fans out there, but I miss hearing more of Lori and Sharon on TISL. I would have preferred less Sheryl and more of them. Oh well...

I have to agree with you. I love the way Stevie and Sheryl sound together.. they blend very well. I really do wish though, that you heard more of Stevie, Lori and Sharon on TISL instead of just Stevie and Sheryl. The harmonies that the three of them have are just really great!

Thank God this thread took a turn for the better......I swear, every damn body is on the rag or something!!!!!?? What the heck is going on with the Ledgies!!!!!!!!!!????!!!!!!

Anywho, I think Sharon would be a great candidate for a Q & A (HINT HINT HINT).............I've always loved the idea of all of us being able to ask her a bunch of things (HINT HINT HINT)..........and getting all those good stories........I mean, if anyone was the portrait of the perfect person to pump for info. it would be Sharon (HINT HINT HINT)!!!!!

Stephanie

Oh and P.S.: Though it is understandable, since Lori is the only one who's married and has a child, that she would want to bow out of the touring part of this.....I personally would love to see Lori BACK ON STAGE singing with her sister-in-law, where she belongs.
