I just downloaded Sara Live in Dallas 1986 from Audiogalaxy. This was my first Nicks tour, and I had forgotton how much energy she had during this tour. I love this recording of Sara. I really love this tour. I wish I had the entire tour on video. Any ideas where to get it, good quality, and not that Red Rocks video that I already have.

Geez...I lived in Denver then and I went to all three of the shows she played at Red Rocks that summer and she did not play Sara at any of them (unless she did at the show I was late to because of a broken down car...just my luck). I guess I thought Sara had already been laid to rest off from tour playlists before that tour.

Arnold...if i'm not mistaken, there's a video out there of one of the performances in Texas...It may be Dallas. I know i've seen it on someone's webpage cause i was going to get it. If i find out where i'll write back. RAL was my first concert (Wisconsin & Chicago) and i was bummed that she didn't do Sara at those shows. She only did it a few times in the beginning of the tour and then it was dropped. Everytime i heard a piano intro i thought "it's Sara...nope, Beauty and Beast..."

Thanks Joe. I saw the concert in Austin, Texas, and I am sure that she played Sara there. I really took for granted the energy in those shows. I would love to see the entire concert again.

Hmmmm...

I just tried to download that off Audiogalaxy and I was given a message saying I could not download it due to copyright restrictions. Any ideas on how to circumvent this? Any other place to find it?

I could not email the file; however, I will put it on my Kazaa file, and I will keep it open for a few days for anyone who wants it.

I saw her in Worcester, MA for the RAL tour and I don't recall her doing Sara. But she did do I Can't Wait, and that was really cool to hear live! I wish she did that at Red Rocks!

I have a tape of a show I recorded off the radio of a RAL concert (I think NY) and I don't think she did Sara on that either, nor I Can't Wait. Bummer...

If anyone has a RAL concert on video other than Red Rocks, I would love to make a trade with you. Just let me know or email me.

Thanks!

"Sara" & "Gypsy" too. Just the first week or two, then blitzo.

I'm with you there. I'd rather have a Wild Heart live album than a new Fleetwood Mac album. That was really my favorite Stevie Nicks tour.

I LOVE the Wild Heart era too! I love the album, the photos, and the live shows are great. I wonder why she never did Nightbird on tour? That sounds awesome live, like when she did it on Solid Gold and SNL.

Well, Stevie has mentioned that she doesn't like changing the set list much, just about four new songs. I suppose she made Gypsy the fourth song to sing solo instead of Nightbird. That was always my guess anyway. :wavey:

Robert, i am immensely, incredibly jealous that you saw the Tusk, Mirage and Wild Heart shows in person! I tip my hat and bow to you! I'm 32 and became a fan after i saw the Bella Donna show on HBO all the way back in early 1982...Anyway, actually, the first memory i have of FM/Stevie is seeing the "Sara" clip (from St.Louis, 1979) on various music-oriented shows back then...i had no idea who she was but i was definately enchanted from that moment. I don't know what it was to this day...the performance itself is timeless. Anyway, i remember living in Chicago in 1982 and i cutout the newspaper articles for the concert they were going to do in the are and thought to myself "if i was only a few years older, i could go!"...same thing with "The Wild Heart"...

Luckily, when "Rock A Little" came to town it was the first show i went to and i was in my glory. I saw her both in Wisconsin and Chicago. There's a bootleg of the Chicago show called "Cloaks and Daggers"...i'm glad someone recorded it.

Anyway, she also did "GDW" in the beginning of the RAL tour and then dropped it with Sara and Gypsy.

I've recently been listening to some Wild Heart shows and they're pretty good.

Ghosty, i have some RAL videos. maybe if you want to trade let me know. I have Jones Beach and Iowa. The Jones Beach (Long Island, NY) is a far audience shot...you can see the whole stage center on this video. The Iowa show is shot from Stevie's right side and, again, is audience shot. The Iowa tape is not great quality but whatever. The only other RAL show that's been circulated in bootlegs is a Texas show which i don't have.

Joe,those show's were memorable .the Mirage show I saw was one of the 2 final shows at the Forum which were also taped for pay TV(Was that one HBO or Showtime?)And that last Forum show had to be the last time she performed "Sisters of the Moon''I also had tickets for a "Bella Donna' tour show at the San Diego sports arena in Dec 1981 which was cancelled allegedly so she could save her energy for the LA shows that were taped for the HBO special. If anyone has ever seen the awesome movie "Almost Famous'that ramp in the back of the SD.sports arena where they were waiting is the place were we all used to wait for Stevie after the shows and once during a sound check ,and 2 times we even saw her!

Joe, I would love to trade for a RAL video! That'd be cool! Which one do you think is better? Does she do the same songs on both? That one that is further back where you can see the whole stage, can you still see Stevie pretty good? I have some videos, and also demo cassettes for trade. Anything in particular you are looking for? I can email you more details if you'd like. p

Thanks!
