I heard "Whenever I Call You Friend" on Friday at work, and just about fell off my chair into the floor! I NEVER hear that on the radio!! What song were you SHOCKED to hear on the radio? Also, they played Oh Well from the Live 1980 album on my classic radio station a few weeks ago, I cranked up that radio and JAMMED...and SCREAMED!! LOL

Probably the biggest surprise of something I heard on the radio was the day "Talk to me" was released...or not exactly released - KMET 94.7 in L.A. played it before the album was released, and I happen to record it that night, and found out the next day that they had pulled it from airplay - it was a studio demo that wasn't supposed to be played on the radio at all! When the album came out, it was a very different version. I gave copies to everyone I knew, and I suppose all of you have heard this alternate version by now, most likely the recording I made that night. Nothing like it happened again, although I had hopes of more demos...and I heard KMET got in trouble for playing that one.

Me too, Brian, I was at Wally World last month and heard the Dance version of Silver Springs, I didn't leave the frozen food section underneath the best speaker I could find, lip-synching along!
The first thing I do when I walk into a store or restaurant is listen intently for music of any kind. I'm freakish like that.:lol:

Let's see.....radio around here doesn't really surprise me with anything that they play....or don't play for that matter.
Heard Love Changes while clothes shopping in Fashion Bug though!!!! :]  That was shocking!

i've heard 'races are run' from the B/N album not too long ago. I had just gotten into my car and it was on and at first i thought i had a tape on but it WAS the radio. It was on some station in upstate NY that plays a lot of different stuff. Pretty neat!
alright...what a weird coincidence but i just submitted a post about half an hour ago and i just put the radio on and the same station i previously mentioned is playing "Station Man" (an older FLeetwood Mac pre Buckingham Nicks era)...Someone at this station must be a fan...

I hear Stevie on the radio all the time...nothing too shocking though. Just the stuff you would expect to hear.

Where I'm from I'm pretty shocked to hear any FM/Stevie song. But I heard Angel once and Whenever I Call You Friend. Those were shockers. Second Hand News was a shock too.!

My biggest shock was when I heard Stand Back from The Chain box set...the live version. I was listening and I heard the beginning, and I was like, ooh, Stand Back...not a surprise, but at least they are playing Stevie. But then I thought, wait, this sounds a lot different, then I realized it was the live version from The Chain. My second biggest shock was when they played Twisted (the duet version) WAY after the 1996 release. In fact, that's what made me go out and buy the soundtrack, because I was like, this isn't good. There's a Stevie song on the radio that I don't know the words to. There's still many songs I don't know the words to because I don't listen to them, but if I hear them on the radio at least once, I run out and learn the song. Did the same thing with I Don't Want to Know.

I remember hearing Silver Springs(the original version) in the grocery store(Jewel for all you IL people) and stayed in the aisle and moved closer to where it was coming from so I could hear it clearer but then my mom came to get me!
I also "Whenever I call You a Friend" on the Radio and also "I Don't Want to Know" woke me up in the morning. I thought it was strange but they play a lot of songs that were never released(It's a classic rock station 97.1 The Drive in Chicago).

See, that's one thing that really sucks about radio today. Your songs aren't really played unless they are released as singles. Like songs on TISL such as Fall from Grace that would make great radio songs I doubt will ever be played because they weren't released as singles. Hell, even the singles got terrible radio play, but that's a different subject. But I've heard songs on Classic Rock stations that were never released as singles yet are still played.

I swear the classic rock stations I listen to will play songs that released as singles which I think "mainstream"(whatever!) radio should take a page out of their book. But I guess that won't happen.
Hey I heard Landslide this morning on the radio(The original... )but it was funny cause the night before I was watching Divas again. so I thought I was dreaming then realized it was the radio. They sure do love FM(97.1 The Drive in Chicago)

I love 97.1! They play the best songs. Yeah hearing Don't Stop is nothing much(still love the song) but when they play Silver SPrings, I don't want to know and Second Hand News...now that is somethint special!!!!! And I thought it was cool that they played a James Gang song. They'll play a lot of lesser known songs which I like since radio now is all about the popular thing!! boring!! LOL

:wavey: Hi Fans!
My heart almost stopped when I walked in the State Store and Lindsey and Stevie were singing on THE CHAIN!!! I was under the...loudest speaker checking out IRISH CREME and the guy asked if I needed help and I said so sweetly..."No, thank you, Iam just comparing brands!":D
My comparison took to the end of the song!;) Cheers! Luv, SKY:)

are cool around here are great (KRXO 107.7) compared to the so-called "Rock" station (100.5 KATT)
...Example: KRXO is giving away 5th row tickets and backstage passes for the Eagles at the new Ford Center in downtown OKC...KRXO always play the Eagles & the 'Mac...Where-as the KATT hypes the Rolling Stones for a concert in January, But the chances of the KATT playing the 'Stones are the same chances for "World Peace". But the KATT always kisses up to acts until they pay and leave town the next day,(ie-Metallica's Lars was interviewed back in 1992 on the KATT and the KATT thought that Metallica had only 1 album and Lars slammed them on their own interview and they were too dumb to catch it...), Then its like "Who just played here?"
I feel that when Fleetwood Mac tours and possibly play the Ford Center that KRXO will be honest in playing the Mac before and after they are through playing...Thank God for classic rock!!!!
