View Full Version : Stevie Picture Question
I was at a local music store yesterday that just started carrying music stuff of various artists. There is a framed picture of Stevie when she was younger way up high on the wall, & it's signed by her I guess. They want $125 for it. My questions are this; how do you know it's really her signature & then is $125 about right for the asking price?

Unless there is photo evidence of Stevie signing it or you were there in person you can never be sure. And if they have COA it still doesn't guarantee anything. Sorry to sound so negative but there are so many fake sigs....especially on places like ebay.

a majority of the autographed items on eBay dont even look anything like Stevie's autograph. I agree with Pip, A COA doesnt prove anything at all. Anyone with a PC & printer could produce a fancy COA which has no value except to deceive someone out of their hard earned money. I would ask the person(s) selling it if they have a picture of Stevie signing it...If they don't, I wouldn't waste the time...Brian

Well, you could always compare the signature on the pic to the one on Enchanted or the Chain. Ask if you could see it close up.
Now, about the $125. You said it's framed. Depending on the frame and the size...framing could be very expensive. Is there a matte around the photograph? If there is, it sounds like a real good price. How big is the photo? 8x10?
Just wondering. :-D

I don't really have anything with Stevie's signature on it to compare it to. It is framed, & it may be an 8 x 10 picture. I don't think anything is around the picture itself. Like I said, it was high up on the wall, like so high the top almost touches the ceiling. Like Pip & Brian say, how do you know if it's real or a fake? You know I mean the signature, the picture is definitely a younger Stevie.

Hi Lee....I have attached the autograph I got from Stevie in Las Vegas. I know this is real...I watched her sign it! But you could never be sure with the picture you have seen

I'll try again
I just wanted to update everyone regarding this picture. I was just in this music store the weekend before last. I took the print of Stevie's signature that Pip posted. The picture is still there, still in the same spot. I compared the two signatures. They were similiar, but I couldn't swear that it really was her signature. I kept thinking about what Pip & Brian said, about it probably being fake, & I wound up getting a nice, fall coat (What can I say? Though it was 90 degrees out at the time, the coat was on sale, & I needed one.) & not the picture. But I'll probably check back at that music store periodically to see if anyone has bought it. I'd still love to buy it, but I still really don't know if that's Stevie's signature on it.
