omg! guys i had a ball! i decided to wear my black corset with a long black skirt (thanks stephanie and laura!!!!) i called out of work friday cause i was "sick" *cough, cough* lol! i went and got my hair done, which took hours, got a manicure and pedicure (which i needed lol), ran home, showered, threw it all on, and hopped on the path train to christopher street and walked to the bar for the party! i got there at 11, YES I WAS LATE!!!! it was totally packed and hot as hell in there!!!!! but all good! i met sonia and her friend and they're are totally cool! and thank god sonia recognized me cause i had no idea who i was looking for lol! so i hung out with them til they left. some of the performers were really good! this one girl, i forget her name, had a very pretty voice and she sang leather and lace!! she was really good. some, well....................didn't have a clue. like this one guy got up there and sang planets and destroyed the song!!! i know stevie would have been pissed if she heard that!! lmao!!! but we clapped anyway! i mean he did have balls, well he does have balls unless...........oh nevermind. everyone looked fabulous!!! it was the best night! i didn't take a lot of pics, cause..........well i forgot! after that second drink, on a empty stomach, i was feeling pretty good and had no time to snap picture lol! i did take one with sonia and took one of her and her friend and i will post time as soon as they are developed ok?

It was so cool to be sumberged in Stevie mania for an evening, and even more awesome to meet and hang with Mimi. I brought my friend who's a bit of a fair-weather Stevie fan, but I won't complain. It was so cute...all the Stevies everywhere. The performers ranged from those you could tell studied videos and mimicked her exact movements, to like....some weirdos on crack that didn't know Stevie from their own asses. Yeah, some guy(gal?) did destroy Planets, but you could tell everyone had the love for Stevie even if they didn't have any skills. Some guy in the audience was singing at the top of his lungs and trying to imitate Stevie. that was kinda painful. There was this one woman who had absolutely perfect 70's Stevie hair. I couldn't get over it. I saw Kristin breifly and she looked like she was having fun :)
It was well worth driving down 6 and a half hours from Maine for a day (my parents live in NYC). :] I had several beers and stumbled home happy.:D
Can't wait to see those pics, Mimi, your hair looked fabulous.:thumbsup:

omg! her hair was fabulous! and didn't she kinda favor stevie form the nose down? i thought she did! i just couldn't get over her hair. she looked great!

oh oh and there was this girl that had on this hat! she looked awesome too!
