View Full Version : Christine McVie great live show
I’m listening to her 12/83 live show at the
LA Country Club and it’s amazing. Her voice is on point, the band is amazing with all the long guitar and piano versions. Great vocals by all!

It feels beautifully strange to hear her saying Merry Christmas instead of the usual Thank You -name of the city- at the end of Songbird.
I see the last video of the Youtube playlist is Songbird and it shows the end credits, so it actually was the end of that tv special. But in the setlist page it says she sang Say You Love Me and Over My Head after that. Don't know if that's correct cause Songbird always was the standard closing number of her shows.

It’s quite possible those tracks were included but not on my “boot cd”

She had a great band. It was during her solo tour that she made Don't Stop the closer that it became on later Mac tours. Prior to 1984 Don't Stop was always early in the set. She made it the closing anthem before the Songbird encore.
Her solo tour was also the last tour she really played lots of piano on the grand piano. It was probably the last Don't Stop on a real piano. She was behind the grand piano for Hold Me, Got A Hold On Me, Don't Stop, Songbird, etc.
On the Tango tour they did bring a grand piano for Stevie's HAEWAFY and Songbird but I think after that was it and it was all electric piano except for Songbird.
