Didn’t he fairly recently have to take out a restraining order against some woman? I wonder if this is the same person? So many crazy people out there.

Lindsey Buckingham, of Fleetwood Mac fame, was attacked Wednesday morning by a woman in Santa Monica, police confirmed to KTLA.

Buckingham was arriving at an appointment when the female, who is being described as a stalker, doused the artist with an unknown substance and fled the scene, TMZ reported.

The Grammy-award-winning artist wasn’t injured.

The outlet reports that this isn’t the first time Buckingham and the suspect have been in contact with each other. Although it’s unknown what the circumstances were.

Police reportedly know who the suspect is, but haven’t taken her into custody.

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to KTLA that an attack did occur in Santa Monica, but didn’t provide any additional details.

KTLA has also reached out to Buckingham’s team for a statement.

Quite a few people on social media know who this woman is and have named her (I won't on here)... they say she posts a lot of unhinged rants on social media that she is the daughter of Stevie and Lindsey.... she lives in her car and it is reported he already has a restraining order against her.

I wonder if it was a chiffon head angry at him for his treatment of Stevie. I'm picturing "this is for Stevie!" as she throws a substance on him. Scary and glad he is ok.

One of the more entertaining aspects of Mick's first book was his stalker that chased him for years and she eventually found him. Stevie had a stalker for awhile too. During the Enchanted tour some nut thought Stevie had magical powers and would follow her tour and try and meet her. Security would come to the stage every night and look in the crowd before she came on stage.

She's a lunatic. He's got a restraining order against her. She's gone after his family too. She's also no fan of Stevie's and has gone after Nicky Sixx too. She's unhinged. At this point she needs to be locked up

Interesting, seems like it happened last week, but the story is only out now. I wonder if it's because they are trying to get the suspect? She also goes by a different last name. She has had a restraining order against her for a few years.

Unhinged whacko--has claimed Lindsey and Stevie are her parents and they abandoned her. She's also stalked Nikki Sixx. She made some inappropriate and insane comments on other peoples posts that had Lindsey in them. A bunch cropped up around the time Lindsey went to those Grammy events with Mick a few years ago. It's so infuriating. I said this back in 2018 - nobody is going to look back in 5+ years and think "Oh yeah, Fleetwood Mac really outdid themselves having Neil Finn singing Go Your Own Way.

To this day when Mick speaks about Fleetwood Mac on his instagram posts etc, he makes a point to somehow mention the 2018/2019 lineup and imply that they are still legitimate, long standing members of Fleetwood Mac. They were hired hands for one tour. Even 5+ years late he's still trying to sell that "new band" bag of BS to whoever will listen.

Yet he couldn't have peddled the re-release of BN any harder. He dropped the first hint
And to your point, no one is looking back on Neil's version of GYOW and calling it a masterpiece.

And he'd only stop if he managed to get the "band" together with Lindsey. Then, magically, Neil and Mike would disappear and be in the parallel universe where Bekka and the others went.

But God no! I prefer him to keep spouting that nonsense. Fleetwood Mac is over.

This crazy woman has been stalking him, his children and wife for years. In this article police actually handcuffed Lindsey over an injury at the house. He was not arrested just detained until police figured out what was going on. Funny how this article keeps identifying her as d*** when her last name is Dick. When Police handcuffed Lindsey is when he officially got the restraining order. And she has not been arrested still? WTF is going on with this police department? There is already probable cause for arrest let alone the restraining order violation. Good grief! This department needs a few good thumps behind the ear. 2 weeks later and still no arrest? Dick has threatened the life of his wife. Why is CA so weird sometimes? Police can still build a case against her with the other victims. However she is a danger to society and should be arrested immediately. Just imagine if she did something crazy to someone or hurt them? Police would get a big black eye. Plus she is homeless living in a car which means she could flee to avoid arrest. I am outraged at police and can only imagine how his family feels.

The woman Lindsey Buckingham filed a restraining order against in 2025 and who claims to be his daughter has admitted to a local news station that she visited him last week, as reports emerged that the ex–Fleetwood Mac guitarist was approached by an assailant and had an unknown substance thrown on him in Santa Monica last week.

Michelle Dick, 54, has not been arrested in the March 25 attack, which was widely reported more than a week after it occurred. Police in Santa Monica told The Hollywood Reporter that the case is being investigated jointly by two departments. The famed "Holiday Road" singer was arriving at an appointment when a woman threw an "unknown substance" at him, according to multiple reports. Authorities in Los Angeles described the woman as a "stalking suspect" known to Buckingham from past incidents involving him and his family.

"The Los Angeles Police Department's Threat Management Unit is working with the Santa Monica Police Department to investigate this incident," the LAPD said in a statement sent to THR on Thursday. "To protect the integrity of the open and ongoing investigation, no further comment will be provided at this time."

In court documents filed in Los Angeles last year, Buckingham sought a restraining order against Dick, who claims the 76-year-old married father of three is her biological father. According to court records, d**k was spotted outside the Buckingham family's Brentwood home multiple times over the years and allegedly harassed the family; a call to 911 to report an injury inside the home, leading to Buckingham being handcuffed by responding officers, was the inciting incident that led the legendary guitarist to take the situation to the courts.

d**k allegedly targeted Buckingham's wife, Kristen Messner, with menacing phone calls that included threats to her life. His children were also contacted by d**k via phone and social media. At one point, the family chose not to press charges after she halted her harassment campaign, according to KTLA, whose reporter Sandra Mitchell spoke with d**k following news of the recent attack.

A detective in the threat management unit supported Buckingham's petition for a restraining order in Los Angeles Superior Court last November, telling the judge that d**k believed she was his child and was dangerous and mentally unstable.

"One time - that was last year," she told Mitchell when asked about sightings at Buckingham's home. "But I didn't know I had a restraining order on me. He wasn't a father to me, but he's my birth father."

d**k told KTLA she is currently living in her car. The LAPD said it is the lead agency in the investigation, as the suspect is linked to other incidents in Los Angeles.

Buckingham joined Fleetwood Mac in 1974 alongside his then-girlfriend Stevie Nicks. During his tenure, the band saw its greatest success, including a Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit ("Dreams" in 1977) and four No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200: Fleetwood Mac (1975), Rumours (1977), Mirage (1982), and The Dance (1997). Buckingham exited Fleetwood Mac in 1987 and released his solo debut, Law and Order, in 1981; he has since recorded seven solo albums. He returned to the band in 1997 and remained until his dismissal in 2018, which led to a lawsuit against Nicks, Mick Fleetwood, Christine McVie, and John McVie.

According to Rolling Stone she has been charged with 7 criminal counts. RS also states that prosecutors charged her with stalking both Buckingham and a “second alleged victim, identified as Stephanie N placing them in reasonable fear for their safety”.

Looks like she ran her car into his days before she threw the substance on his. His car looked damaged in the Daily Mail photos.

A woman with an alleged history of stalking Lindsey Buckingham has been charged with seven criminal counts in Los Angeles County after allegedly hurling an unidentified substance at the former Fleetwood Mac guitarist in Santa Monica on March 25 while he had a restraining order barring her from making contact.

Michelle Dick was charged in a felony complaint dated Friday and made public on Monday, according to court documents obtained by Rolling Stone. Prosecutors allege that Dick stalked Lindsey Buckingham between late 2021 and March 25, 2026. The complaint includes one felony count of making criminal threats, a felony count of assault with a deadly weapon involving a motor vehicle on March 19, and a felony count of vandalizing Buckingham's Mercedes-Benz S450 the same day.

Dick faces a separate felony count of making a criminal threat against Buckingham on March 25, and a misdemeanor battery charge for allegedly using force during that incident. Prosecutors charged Dick with stalking both Buckingham and a second alleged victim, identified as Stephanie N., placing them in reasonable fear for their safety.

A judge issued an arrest warrant for Dick, finding probable cause, and set bail at $300,000, the documents revealed.

Reports emerged last week that Lindsey Buckingham was attacked on March 25 by an alleged stalker who tracked him to a location in Santa Monica. When the 76-year-old musician arrived, the woman allegedly threw a substance at him and fled, a law enforcement source told Rolling Stone, saying it wasn't immediately clear if the substance was "caustic." Buckingham was not injured. Attempts to reach his representatives were unsuccessful.
Buckingham sought a restraining order against Dick in November 2024, alleging she had stalked him for years and was behind a frightening swatting incident that month that ended with Buckingham briefly while Los Angeles police searched his Brentwood home.

According to court filings obtained by Rolling Stone, Dick allegedly used her cell phone to call 9-1-1 on Nov. 3, 2024, and falsely report that Buckingham's son was "suicidal" inside the home and that she had heard gunshots. In a written statement filed with the court, Buckingham said nearly a dozen officers descended on his house that night.

"When I answered the door, I was handcuffed and asked to step outside," he wrote. "After twenty minutes of the police searching my house and me outside in the cold, handcuffed, I was let back into my house, shaken and fearful."

An LAPD detective assigned to the case told the judge in a separate written statement that she later contacted Dick on the same number used to make the bogus 9-1-1 call. "During my brief conversation with her, she admitted to calling 9-1-1 on Nov. 3, 2024. I advised her that her behavior needed to stop," Det. Marisol Landeros wrote.

In his petition for the restraining order, which was granted, Buckingham claimed that Dick started harassing him in 2021, and that he was "afraid her conduct may escalate into something physically dangerous to me and my family."

He said the alleged harassment started with dozens of phone calls, with Dick leaving "long drawn-out messages that included the claim she was my child and threats to kill me and my family."

He said Dick also blamed him for “facial deformities she suffered as a child and demanded money." He accused Dick of making threats to a venue in San Francisco where he performed and of leaving a photo collage with pictures from her Instagram at his home address on Sept. 18, 2024. He said the next day, Dick allegedly parked her car outside one of the homes he shares with his wife. Police allegedly stopped her car a short time later and questioned her.

"She began rambling about me being her father and suffocating her as a child," Buckingham wrote. He said subsequent threats on Instagram were directed at his wife. "This incident terrified my wife as she feared for her safety. Given that Ms. Dick also knows my home address, I am terrified as well," he wrote.

"I do not know Ms. Dick, and I am not her father," Buckingham said in his statement.

(Attempts to reach Dick based on a phone number linked to an address listed in court records were not successful.)

Det. Landeros urged the court to grant the stayaway order in 2024.
“I believe Ms. Dick to be mentally unstable and dangerous”, she wrote in her statement. “The Buckinghams should be granted the restraining orders they seek against Ms. Dick for their protection.”

Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Elizabeth Scully granted the petition on Dec 20, 2024, ordering Dick to stay at least 100 yards from Buckingham, his wife, his son, their homes , and their vehicles for five years. Dick was barred from harassing or contacting the three members of the Buckingham family in any way

She terrorized him and his family. We understand the restraining order and why Lindsey went to get it. Why was she not arrested for practically swatting his house with calling 911 about gunshots and his son being suicidal?
Police always will work on cases and sometimes bring more charges later. But for the safety of Lindsey and the public she should of been in custody already and she would of never had the chance to throw that substance on Lindsey.
I would be pissed. Imagine this woman does this to you and your family and she is free wondering around to throw substances on you a week or so later?
Is there something about CA law that I am missing?

Who is the mysterious Stephanie N. that was with Lindsey when he was attacked?

Oh God, I read this whole insane story and I feel like I'm watching a horror miniseries on Netflix. Definitely that woman needs to be locked up, I don't know if in jail or an asylum, but it's clear she's a danger to society.

Otherwise, she could have formally or legally requested a DNA test, but I've never read that mentioned in any article on this topic. Furthermore, if the suffocation incident were true, I'm sure it would have been public knowledge at the time, given that he's a public figure in show business. But everything indicates that it happened in her rotten mind. I hope justice is served soon before something happens to Lindsey or anyone else.

Got it. You are right. I read it too fast. However you cannot be a victim unless you were actually stalked. If this crazy woman stalked Stevie would there not be another restraining order against her from Stevie? I suspect Stevie is more famous and her security makes it much harder to get than Lindsey. Lindsey has been fortunate enough that he can go out in public and most people do not know who he is.

Yes, it a bit confusing when they say second alleged victim. Victim of being stalked? Or casual victim of the thrown substance?

I vaguely remember episodes of stalkers targeting Stevie Nicks. Legal firm McPherson LLP mentions Obtained several Temporary and Permanent Restraining Orders on behalf of Stevie Nicks in connection with dangerous stalkers from various states in its webpage. I think it was commented in The Ledge, but can't remember very well. Although I don't recall the stalking included attacks.

Many celebrities have stalkers. I live in Miami where lots of celebrities live and its always on the news how some crazy stalker swam up to some celebrities house and tried to break in. Stevie's stalker during the Enchanted tour made national headlines and if you google you can read about it. I saw with my own eyes security guys coming to the stage and pan the crowd before she came on stage.

Edit: This is about Stevie's stalker from 1998
In the Nicks of time
Stevie Nicks increased security for her concert in Denver last night. And who could blame her?
Last week Denver’s West Pines Psychiatric Hospital released a patient, Ronald Anacelteo, 38, undergoing treatment for psychotic behavior. He told doctors that he heard voices inside his head.
Sally Brown, a case manager at the hospital, said Anacelteo told the staff that he would kidnap Nicks and have sex with her “if he had the opportunity to do so.

” Brown alerted authorities.
Dan Davis, an investigator with Colorado’s Arapahoe County sheriff’s office, interviewed Anacelteo.
“Mr. Anacelteo, a self-proclaimed homosexual, believes that Ms. Nicks possesses a spiritual healing power that will enable him to get along with others and find a woman to marry,” Davis said. “He believes Ms. Nicks is a witch who possesses the power to heal him. He believes that he will be able to absorb this spiritual power if he is able to get close to her.

”
Creepy!
Nicks, one of the voices of Fleetwood Mac, obtained an order of protection against Anacelteo. He had tickets to last night’s show, according to court papers, but the order prohibits him from attending.

EX-FLEETWOOD MAC GUITARIST
LINDSEY BUCKINGHAM STALKER SUSPECT ARRESTED ...
After Substance-Throwing Incident

By TMZ STAFF
Published April 7, 2026 7:59 AM PDT

Former Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham's accused stalker has been hit with 7 criminal charges after allegedly chucking an unknown liquid at him in March ... after Lindsey already had a restraining order against the woman.

According to online records, Michelle Dick was arrested and charged in a felony complaint Friday -- which includes 2 charges of stalking, 2 charges of threatening to commit a crime with intent to terrorize, assault with a deadly weapon that's not a firearm, vandalism, and battery -- stemming from the March incident.

We told you all about the March incident ... Dick is accused of tracking Buckingham down at an appointment in Santa Monica and dousing him with an unknown substance before fleeing the scene.

But, this is far from the first issue the rocker has had with this individual ... court docs, obtained by TMZ, show Buckingham was granted a protective order against Dick back in December 2024 ... after he claimed she had been harassing him and his family for years.

Buckingham told the court Dick first started making contact with his family in 2021 when she obtained his wife Kristen's personal cellphone number and started calling dozens of times a day, allegedly "leaving long drawn-out messages that included the claim that she was [Lindsey's] child and threats to kill [Lindsey] and [his] family." He also claims she demanded money ... Lindsey insists he does not know her and is not her father.

Lindsey says the issues halted for 3 years ... but resumed in September 2024 when he "received a picture collage attached to the face of our mailboxes with pictures of my face and hers."

Then, in 2025, Lindsay told the court Dick had made a false call to police alleging his son was suicidal inside his house, reporting she had heard gunshots. Lindsay says he woke up to about 12 police officers at his door, and says he was detained for 20 minutes while they searched his house.

He says there were even more incidents ... but you get the picture. The restraining order against Dick called for her to stay at least 100 yards away from Lindsey and his family ... including their residences, vehicles, and their workplaces ... and to have no contact with them.

The restraining order runs through 2029.

Now THAT, ^^^, is a DICK move.

I'd say movie rather than a move.

Here is an interview with the suspect. Why has she not been arrested yet? Was she seriously this annoyed that Not That Funny went on too long?
