Thankyou for uploading this update, and I am really looking forward to whatever comes our way!
I wish for heavens sake he would release this new Album..
Stevie is attending the Met Ball looking fabulous…and current.
It’s all very well appearing with his kids showing reactions to various previous performances…
And I enjoy watching them…
But he needs to do something for now..
He needs to get out there. For all of us fans, and for himself.

He looks well, but I wonder if he has some health issue now. Because he's been too stagnant for too long ..

I did wonder that…although he looks okay physically he is pasty..pallid almost.
I think he has a lot of make up on.
And I wish he would cut his bloomin’ hair ..

I do wonder if whatever is going on with his divorce is also an issue. Seems like he is enjoying spending time with his kids, which is nice.
For his age, he looks pretty good, I think. They're all pushing 80, so whatever we get is probably a bonus at this point. Touring the way he does is still a grind, and I don't think he needs the adulation the way some people do (ahem, Stevie), and is not as money driven as others (Stevie, Mick). I think he's always making or analyzing music, but financially and healthwise, a tour will likely cost him, so I'm not super optimistic that we will get a lot more touring out of him.

1981 Law and Order
Mirage (1982)
1984 Go Insane
Tango in the Night (1987)
1992 Out of the Cradle
The Dance (1997) not a studio album but I guess it kept him busy for most of that year
Say You Will (2003)
2006 Under the Skin
2008 Gift of Screws
2011 Seeds We Sow
Lindsey Buckingham Christine McVie (2017)
2021 Lindsey Buckingham
Yes it could be health or emotional issues. But there has been stagnant periods in the past. If I don’t count his Mac studio albums, the years between solo albums seem very long in many cases. But even including them, there were some 5 years hiatus. I think that more than the albums, it was the Mac tours that delayed him from releasing solo albums. However, that 1992-97 gap… was he on the road during those years? I can’t remember, I only recall some soundtrack appearances (With Honors, Twisted). If he wasn’t, that would be similar to these late years, except that now he is in his 70s.
Any artist can decide to do something else with their life, temporary or permanent, remember Christine. But the thing is, I often read about he is announcing an upcoming album of him, and several years go by before I see it.

Only in 1993.
During that interval he also made a solo album that was rejected.

Jeez….let the guy work at his own pace. If he wants to release an album at some point, good for him. If he wants to take his time and chill…good for him. If he never again releases music or tours….good for him. He’s old. He’s well past retirement age. Music is allowed to be a hobby now.

Here's the latest short:
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/59q_OiOvGGs
The only newsworthy bit is at the very end. When asked about his favorite venues to play, he mentions The Forum as being his favorite LA hometown venue. His daughter remarks "I'd love to see you back there" and Lindsey drops a skeptical hint "Well, you might...we'll see"
I'm going to fall off my chair if we're careening towards another 2018 scenario where they are trying to negotiate some sort of FM thing with Lindsey's solo album thrown into the mix..AGAIN. Make it stop.

I don't think he was getting at that. I think it was more a delusionary remark about the prospects of his solo career blowing up (dreams cast away no more).
My thought upon hearing it was, "Maybe at some big benefit or tribute concert with a lot of higher profile artists on the bill. Otherwise, not a chance."

I believe the rejected album was recorded with his 1993 touring band. So while Lindsey may have re-recorded the songs from it as you list above (although, as per kenzo's post above, without releasing "The Singer Not The Song," which nonetheless one can find on YT), the recordings of the rejected album itself remain unheard.
Further, the songs above may be from a separate endeavor: a solo album Lindsey initially intended to release c. 2000-01, but ultimately folded into Say You Will, with some tracks held over for his 2006-08 solo albums.

I have been reading posts in social media about Lindsey commenting his next solo work and also with Stevie. I thought that could be just rumours from people on media, but now I see a RS article.
https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/lindsey-buckingham-stevie-nicks-tease-1235605228/
After a long estrangement, Buckingham and Nicks are again friends. “Stevie and I are talking all the time now,” Buckingham said. “Next year quite a few things will reveal themselves”
And an article of his next solo work.
https://artvoice.com/lindsey-buckingham-lauds-his-coming-album-as-his-best-work
Also, Lindsey posted he will present sombr with the Songwriter of the Year Award at @Variety’s Power of Young Hollywood event this week.
I'm not fan of a new reunion. The Mac is over to me. But next year will mark the 50th anniversary of Fleetwood Mac’s landmark 1977 LP Rumours. Be prepared for the anniversary release, this time an immersive 5D experience.
It sucks that we have to wait until spring of 2027 for his new solo album. I get that releasing it after the Fleetwood Mac bio release makes sense.

Why are they talking again!? How much abuse can these two take? Lindsey also suggests that FM could do something even Chris is gone, but I think John is done and Chris didn't just quit, she passed away. I don't want to see a FM reunion. I don't mind them playing on each other's albums but that is as far as it needs to go. Also, Lindsey looks really old, I think Stevie has aged quite a bit too in the last few years. Mick still looks pretty good for his age. John had aged badly the last few tour's also

It doesn’t make any sense whatsoever. He thinks there’s some mandate that he has to go on tour if he’s going to put out an album. He’s stuck in a very outdated paradigm. If the album truly is done, he could put it out next week. Whatever grand promotional campaign he’s imagining will buy maybe 72 hours of attention. Waiting a year for those precious 72 hours is ridiculous, especially at his age. Not to mention our age. And it won’t be next spring, it’ll be late fall 2027 if anything.

After everything that happened in 2018, it’s nonsense that they’re talking again, as if nothing happened, or at least that’s the impression they’re giving, both, according to what I read in the RS article. Honestly, it almost feels like a sign of disrespect to their fans. I mean, when we wanted more from them, new material or more tours, they ruined the band's legacy—she didn't want to share a stage with him again, after Christine had returned only for the best lineup to fall apart once more, he sued them later, etc. They left us with our expectations ruined in 2018.
And now he's hinting at doing things together soon. I don't criticize if they have healed or are in peace now. Good for them. But... to say they’re "talking all the time now"??? Give me a break! Seems they both are toxic and enjoy to be with toxic people.

Yeah i kind of feel this way, too. so shameful what happened just at the time when we should have gotten a final tour w the Rumours five. and it's interesting how some folks blame john and chris for not leaving the tour or "fighting harder" for LB at that time.... as if they didn't know how it was gonna end anyway. I'm glad they both stayed. and loved it!
When LB says they're "talking all the time" this could mean once a month. after years of not talking, this could feel like a lot lol. These folks have BS down to science. and honestly if they're finally on decent terms, the worst thing to do IMO would be to try and work/tour together. we all know how that usually goes...they'd be better off chatting occasionally and staying the hell away from each other lol
If i see one more person suggest that they "do a tour to honor christine" and use like a hologram or something, i'm gonna lose my sh*t. I don't want to hear ANYONE singing chris's songs except chris, and i don't want to see any friggin hologram. Also most of these people hoping for a reunion tour etc have no desire to see FM-- what they WANT to see is L&S onstage together, so i wish they'd just be honest about it. they could give a sh*t about the other members. "Oh it's what christine would have wanted!" umm, no . you know what chris would've wanted? for everybody to get along while she was friggin alive!
ugh that's my cranky post for the day.

Lindsey isn't looking all that great, he needs someone to help him out w that hair and with what he wears... also looks like too much botox in the forehead, he's too smooth and shiny. Stevie needs to lose to lose ramen noodles on her head, they do nothing for her. Mick looks quite good IMO... but John's cancer really took it out of him, he got very gaunt, plus a lifetime of smoking and drinking didn't help.
and no, i don't want a "reunion", either.

Ramen noodles made me spit out my tea! But so true...
Lindsey definitely is looking his age. He's got quite the paunch when he's sitting down. There's a pic of him backstage with Sombr (whom I know nothing about) who apparently, according to a red carpet interview I watched with Lindsey, asked Lindsey specifically to present him with his songwriting award saying Lindsey was a big influence on him blah blah blah. The pic of the two of them sitting on a couch really shows LB's noticeable flab. I thought in all the pics and videos of him at that event he def touched up his hair color.... much darker than it's been on his socials and vids with his kids etc. He clearly had work done on his eyes a few years ago (I wonder if that was when he had his heart event... they said at the time he was having an elective procedure of some kind when the heart attack happened). He's morphed into his geriatric lesbian look these last few years. Others have mentioned this in other threads on here the last couple of years but man one has to think about what 1980s Lindsey would make of 2000s Lindsey- not in terms of appearance but in terms of personality.... Both Chris and Lindsey got .... what's the word.. softer? weaker? mellower?? over time but Stevie just got harder and harder.

I totally agree with everything you said, Lis. Hold on for an even crankier post.
Honestly, it will have been 9 years since the firing of Lindsey by the time this documentary comes out. Will the documentary even acknowledge how much Stevie and Lindsey actually disliked each other for the majority of the time they were in the band? They can't end it with the lovey dovey reunion like The Dance era stuff did. There may be some vestigial deep love S&L somewhere, but the day to day is mostly resentment, jealousy and antipathy.
I think "talking all the time" for S&L is not what any regular human person would call talking all the time. It's just that they're not estranged currently for now (until they don't have a product to sell). There's no way Stevie is a regular part of Lindsey's life or vice versa. They've both said that they were never really friends. They may have talked a lot around the documentary, especially if there's some cheesy segment about post 2018-reconciliation. Watch them use Chris' death as a catalyst for some S&L reconcilation bullsh$#R%#. It will be infuriating, that's for sure.
I would find it shameful and frankly pretty gross for S&L to go up on stage and pretend to have all of this affection for each other. But I think that is part of their performing schtick and has been since The Dance if not earlier. Stevie should go up there with 4 holograms of herself playing all the parts with the band behind a curtain, and then she can hug a sack of money after she sings Landslide with her hologram self playing Lindsey's guitar part. That would feel genuine.
I would be fine with Lindsey and Mick doing a few club dates. Despite everything including sleeping with his very recent ex and writing a tell all trashing Lindsey, Mick has some kind of special skill to keep Lindsey wanting to work with him.
One thing I will disagree with in the thread (not in Lis' message) -- Lindsey is nearly 80, and while body shaming is not right at any age, I don't think having some weight around the abdomen at 80 is a huge degradation in appearance. He looks pretty good for someone who has lived the life he has (though all that studio obsessiveness may have helped curb sun damage). I don't love his styling choices, but anyone going to see whatever Franken-version of FM shows up in 2027 (hopefully no version tours) isn't going for eye candy unless they have a thing for octogenarians.

Not sure where anyone comes up with "body shaming" and "degradation" from noting that yes in fact someone is close to 80 years old and the effects of that are more visible than ever. It has implications for any plans for mounting a big reunion tour or whatever this bunch of people may be thinking. Lindsey has noticeably aged; he's pushing 80; these are facts. It makes clear how much previous touring and that massively energetic performance he did every night kept him fit. He has not been doing that, and at his age, might realistically not be able to return to that level of performance energy again. Pointing out that he's not as trim and fit as when he was touring is just an observation, just like people mentioning that John is very gaunt and frail looking since his whole cancer experience, or that Stevie has noodle hair. BTW she has also been impacted by the effects of aging... she has had mobility issues and has admitted to having vision degradations (I think she said wet macular degeneration). THE POINT is that they are indeed OLD PEOPLE. At some point they will need to accept that what they may envision doing in their heads is not what their bodies will permit them to do anymore. This should factor into decisions they make. They certainly don't have to hide away; look at Joni Mitchell who has managed to perform in some more limited ways sitting in a chair onstage. There's nothing wrong with that; not everyone is Mick Jagger at 80 and really not even Mick Jagger. Mick Fleetwood seems pretty fit I must say, but he's always posting images/videos of himself working out on his socials, so he's clearly working at it and doesn't seem to have any major health issues at the moment. Same can't be said for his fellow band members. A show at The Sphere? OK maybe, but a big tour? Seems tricky. (and I am NOT chomping at the bit for a Sphere show either).
