Someone posted a clip on Twitter of a recent interview with Jenny Boyd in which she talked about her relationship with Mick, how they will always have a bond, and that she had just talked to him and he was going to be getting married in a couple days..

If it's true (can we be sure the source is reliable?) that would be a surprise. He has never hinted on his social media that he is dating. His last post was on march 9 where he wished to be on the road again.

Anyway if he gets married this Saturday, it would be fun to see pictures of the guests, which members and those from the band's entourage would be there?

I read somewhere (last year, I think)..about his long term girlfriend Elizabeth….but it didn’t expand on who she was..

Really good interview. I went and listened to the whole thing. I recommend it.

She talks about her and Mick and FM starting at 50:30.

Some highlights:

Early years with Mick and FM:

Mick wrote her a letter after his first American tour with FM and asked her to marry him. Then Peter Green left the band. Living in the oast house she wrote a song with Chris. Jenny wanted to get an apartment for just them, she was pregnant, but Mick found a big house and all the band kept living together. She said it turned out "I'd married the BAND." Their marriage wasn't how she imagined. She didn't like going out on the road with the babies. She had to raise them mostly on her own.

Moving to LA:

They went to LA in Laurel Canyon and it was very exciting. She didn't feel so isolated. But then moved them to Topanga and she was isolated again.

Then Stevie and Lindsey joined. Coke then came in in a "big way". They started doing it because they were under time pressure to get the album done fast. Then they kept doing it.

She and Mick were not communicating. He was all about the band. He wanted it to become HUGE. They didn't have a connection.

First divorce and remarriage:

Her buddy was Sandra who had also been close friend of Chris for long time.

Infidelity was normalized in the rock world. She and Mick got divorced. "You just know stuff is going on". She didn't recognize him anymore; he became so into himself. Making lots of money. "Where's the sweet Mick I used to know". He just changed. Coke just changes you.

After the divorce it was like they weren't divorced in a way because they still had the connection and would spend time together at the house with the kids.
Then she says they were told that in order for the band to go tour Europe they all needed green cards and to have green card they needed to go as a family. So they got married again in their lawyer's office. Lindsey was their best man. The remarriage, some times were really sweet. But the band was "everything."

Stevie:

At 1:02:00 They mention that she writes in her book about her connection to Christine. They say to her, but you didn't mention Stevie. She and Mick had an affair... did you have a closeness with Stevie ever? She recalls Stevie was a waitress in the beginning when they all met and that she and Lindsey seemed very nice. "But i knew Chris much longer and Sandy had known Chris for ages, so there was sort of like Stevie with her women friends, and Chris with her women friends, and we were on Chris's side."

She thought Stevie was a great poet; she said years ago now she wrote a card to Stevie and sent it thru a common friend of theirs and said "I don't know why I never told you before but I think you are a wonderful poet and I really admire that". Not long after that FM did a show at the O2 and she says Stevie always dedicates the song Landslide to somebody and it was a packed house and Stevie said "I want to dedicate this song to Jenny Boyd" and Jenny thought "wow" and then Stevie wanted to see her backstage. Stevie said "I don't know why I've never said this to you but I'm so sorry Mick and I had our thing". "And I said 'you know Stevie it's ok, I forgave you many years ago, but I really appreciate that'".

They ask, so how did you deal with the affair back then, did you just avoid Stevie? Jenny says no, i don't really know. "He was with Stevie for quite awhile. Everybody knew but I didn't. Then he told me, and then everybody was on my side and feeling bad for me. And I think Stevie felt bad that she'd basically kind of split the whole thing up. But I interviewed her when I did my first [rock and roll] book and I didn't feel any like 'oh you bitch'. I thought 'I understand. You're out on the road, she's really pretty, funny, she's got this whole thing about her. I could kind of be objective about it."

Mick:

After they divorced again and she moved to England "even then we kept saying "should we get back together".

At about 1:06:00 is where she says she talked to him and he's getting married. She says over time "our relationship morphs into a different kind of relationship".

Does she think her relationship with Mick would have survived under more normal circumstances? She says yes but he needed the band and all that. She and he have talked about it over the years. She thinks if she had had a better relationship wit her father in her childhood she might not have married Mick.

She was with another drummer for ten years. He and Mick were friends. John lent her his house in Maui for her honeymoon.

Then she goes on to talk about her career in psych and writing her books.

I read somewhere (last year, I think)..about his long term girlfriend Elizabeth….but it didn’t expand on who she was..

This is the Google answer. Definitely she is involved with the foundation. But it doesn't mention she is his fianceé. The AI may confuse the info sometimes.

Mick Fleetwood has been in a relationship with Elizabeth Chapman (often referred to as Elizabeth) for several years, with the pair appearing together at public events such as the 65th Grammy Awards in 2023. She is involved with the Mick Fleetwood Foundation and is a licensed realtor in Hawaii.

Elizabeth grew up in Piedmont, California, and holds a B.A. from U.C. Berkeley and an M.A. from Columbia University. She has two children, Max and Joy.

haha yes i suppose so! i'm listening to the podcast now ( i have always loved listening to jenny, she has a wonderful way of telling stories. she and mick are both so well spoken!) and she said that on the 1st mac tour of america, that she thinks they'd all 'sort of seen the light' and that's why mick wrote her a letter and proposed. on that same note, john proposed to chris like 4 days after the band returned to to the UK! interesting. wonder what was in the water that made them want to get married lol

I think Christine said in a documentary, about Fleetwood Mac, "nothing surprises me".

It was a marriage just to obtain legal status in the US. Actually it was just 6 months after they got divorced. It was 1977 so everybody was out of their mind. It was weird, but nothing surprising at the same time.

Does anyone remember the FM Behind The Music? That's where Lindsey was asked about the M&S affair, and if I remember correctly, his answer had a "whatever" tone.

i doubt any of them would have been too shocked at stuff that went on. this is something that really irritated me about that Lesley Ann Jones book when how she said chris left the band in 98 because she'd found out that stevie slept with dennis lmao i mean this sounds sooo ludicrous. chris had several reasons for leaving but that was not one of them. she was well aware that dennis screwed anything that moved, and if an opportunity to sleep with steve arose, i'm quite sure he would have taken it. even if chris didn't know at the time, do you think finding out 20 years later would have really fazed her?! sandra was her close friend who slept with john. her assistant was a close friend who slept with ed. chris seemed to take all this in stride and remained friends with them both... so that whole narrative from jones was one of several things that i felt was just inappropriate speculation presented as fact.

She was with another drummer for ten years. He and Mick were friends.

Fun fact. His name was Ian Wallace, and he was Billy Burnette’s drummer in 1980-81…When Mick met Billy.
