"Wish You Were Here"! The chart can be found on page four of the September 10, 1983 New Musical Express publication. I would be curious on how this chart was tabulated.

That is great. It may sound weird, since that was more than a year after Mirage was released, but in other countries that happens sometimes.
Private Idaho is a B-52's song from 1980, and I remember listening it that year, but it became a huge hit in 1983. Actually it was played with Party Out of Bounds, from a 1981 remix, but it became popular in 1983. I don't know why so late, it reached #1 in local charts that summer.

Great find.
It's also like finding out Heroes Are Hard To Find was a huge seller in Hungary.
Behind The Mask was #1 in Greece
But I wonder if some island DJ dug into Mirage and made it happen since the song was never released as a single.

I thought so, too. But apparently it was not only released in Jamaica as a 45 RPM, but in the US as well (1982).

What a little known fact. But it makes sense because Oh Diane was the 4th single and charted well in the UK.
This would have made the best Fleetwood Mac trivia question ever. Name Fleetwood Mac's only #1 song in Jamaica.

"Wish You Were Here"!
It's fitting. Chris originally wrote that song for her collaboration album with Bob Marley, during her little-known Rasta era, when she dabbled in reggae. The original version of the lyrics shows the connection more clearly.
There's distance between us
And you're on my mind
As I lay here in Jamaica
I can find no red, red wine

Obviously. Jamaica is too tropical, too hot to enjoy red wine.

Now I have "red red wine" going thru my head all morning!

No temperature is too hot to enjoy red wine. Trust me.

‘My wife went there’
‘Jamaica?’
‘No, it was her choice’
Thank you very much:nod:
