This is a rare segment from the BTM era. I think its been posted here before but it includes in studio takes, live segments, and interviews with the band. Its really sad to see Stevie because you can see how heavily tranquilized she is. But Stevie sort of agrees with the interviewer that the harsh lyrics in Freedom must be about Lindsey. I picked something up from Chris from this interview. She describes how much she enjoys BTM because you can hear John playing bass, Mick playing drums, etc. She is not dissing Tango but slightly referring to she likes this raw Fleetwood Mac stuff better. Mick commenting that that Lindsey/Stevie relationship drama will live on forever. Oh Mick, don't worry about that!

Listening to that song again, harsh lyrics is to say the least. It is so full of anger. And it's so contradictory to what she said in a BBC interview during the 87 tour, or so Mick wrote:

Yet never once did anyone ask, where's Lindsey? Oh yes, the fellow from the BBC did. They did a special on us, and the interviewer broached the subject to Stevie. "I gave Lindsey up," she told him. "He's a thing of my past. I hope he finds what he's searching for, and I hope he's happy, and I wish him well. And there's nothing left to say."

I don't find she wishes him well in Freedom. So Mick was not wrong when he said again, cause he wrote it in his book too, about that relationship will never cease in terms of love hate.

Yeah but I don't think Mick was interpreting her songs. During the tour they all wished Lindsey the best. He left them and they moved on. There is another Tango interview during the release of the Tango VHS concert where Stevie says she will never forgive Lindsey for "breaking the chain."

The interviewer during this segment dug deep because even in her klonopin fog she seemed surprised someone called her out on those lyrics.

The band is rehearsing at some soundstage in Burbank. Stevie’s “Landslide” has been my favorite post-1982 performance for all these years. It has a little throw-away quality, like a pickup in a band set.

So true. It was the last Landslide before the sing along. Mirage is my favorite for its tempo. It really got slower as the years went by. I love that she dug it out for this tour. When I saw it live in 1990 I was in shock because I never thought I would ever hear that song live. Two words: Just wait

It's been a long time since I've listened to any of the live bootlegs of Go Your Own Way from this era but the tempo was too slow for me in the performance here.

Yes but the funny part is Everywhere and Little Lies are so much faster back in those days. Everywhere got slowed way down for The Dance. When you listen to the 2 tours its funny how much faster they played it.

"Never" is forever, so if this was how she felt when she recorded "Freedom" this might be why her vocal is so powerful!

I hope she has changed her mind since then though!

I guess she changed when they recorded Twisted.
