In the first video you can see her in the middle of Stand Back turn to her band and asks if she's supposed to twirl now..... in the second video she explains that she forgot when to twirl and that she's "a little looney"

She called herself looney? She mentioned in Portland that she is in pain…. Is she on pain meds? That was really strange. She looks like she is spaced out on Oxy or something….. I can not imagine that she would allow herself to go down that road…. That's worse than klonopin

I hope it's not Oxy but I do believe she may be taking some kind of analgesics. That, plus her age, may affect her performance, energy, behavior, etc. Let's see how the next shows go. I'm not a big fan of her concerts; I've never wanted to or even gone to one, but I've occasionally watched a few on YouTube, and the difference with this year's is very clear. It could be her last tour.

8 years of performing Free Falling and she's making the same mistake as Tom by going on tour with an injury? Yes, at least this one is healing but clearly she's still not 100%

I'm just constantly amazed at how inflexible she is onstage.... by which I mean, totally unable to freestyle, roll with the punches, let things be a little different from one night to the next. I get having a set list and having signature moves that you know people expect, but...it's like the Landslide moment.... why let that flummox you? Just roll with the hiccup and let it play out and then get back on track for the next one. I mean, the audience is WITH her, she's not some up-and-comer.... It's bad enough to have (and she's not the only performer) teleprompters with your own words on them, but next she's going to have those painted footsteps like in dance lessons so she knows where to step. She was committed contractually to this tour, and already had to postpone due to the shoulder injury, but it sure feels like she's back too soon, not healed, and slogging through which she thinks is admirable but honestly at her age may not be so smart.

Very well stated.

I hope not too.
I pray that this does not turn into a train wreck.
Pain killers ruin so many lives.

I’m hope the loopy or looney effects will subside soon.

As fans I think we genuinely care about her…I believe we care more about her than some of the people closest to her.

It's kind of crazy that the twirls would be planning advance

I think Stevie views it as choreographed dance but it becomes so rote that it loses it graceful spontaneity.

No one tells Stevie what to do especially when to twirl. Since this was coming from her guitarist I wonder if her twirling was her signal to the band the vocals are coming. It was during Stand Back and maybe this is why he was reminding her to twirl. Otherwise I dont think musicians keep track when she twirls and when she doesn't.
As Stevie infamously said on stage in 1983 "They just play until I start"
