According to setlist.com Stevie sang Angel on Oct 1st 2025 in Portland. Did anyone attend? Can’t find anything on YouTube and I’m curious as hell how that sounds these days. It’s one of my favourite songs and I love all the live versions we have, but I can’t imagine how that comes out in her current form.

I saw it on FB and thought it sounded good. Someone also said she added Not Fade Away and the Lighthouse to her set as well.

It says she also sang The Lighthouse. I thought she would have already kept the song in the vault.

At this time I've only found Landslide from last night.

I saw the 40 second clip that was posted on facebook/instagram. Vocally, it wasn't terrible. There wasn't a lot of shouting going on. Musically, it sounded like an above average bar band - or the run through you would hear in rehearsal. It felt like the tempo had been taken down a step as well. That's my complaint about every song that her current band plays. They sound like the default settings coming out of Garage Band. That band has no soul, no groove. I give her props for dusting off something new, I just wish musically it didn't sound like human robots.

I just watched GDW from last night. I liked the instrumental intro very much. She doesn't sing bad but like she's lacking some energy.

I’ve just heard it…it was okay…
Yes a tad slow, more like the Album version than previous Live versions.

It almost looked as if they hadn’t rehearsed it enough.
But I love this song, so much.
It has a Country vibe, which is fun.
And I smiled from ear to ear all the way through it.

One thing I didn’t like…
Aaagh her hair ..hate it, makes her look harsh, and ages her.

I don’t understand who is telling her that her wavy hair looks good. I am pretty sure that is not her natural hair. What creeps me out is thinking that she probably did not buy synthetic hair but instead opted for real human hair. What most people don’t understand is wigs and weaves made from human hair is CADAVER hair - yes- dead people hair. I think people get this image of people donating their long hair cut to make wigs- that is rare and those types of donations go to make wigs for cancer kids. Most human hair wigs sold to beauticians and public is dead people hair. I have never touched a human hair wig once I learned about the process these countries use to make these “pieces”.

Apparently she didn't do Angel in Sacramento and didn't replace it with anything. I was pleasantly surprised that she had added three new songs to the set on the first night of the tour, so this is a bummer to see.

this is par for the course for her. Add new songs, then for whatever reason, usually because she can't hack it, they disappear quickly.

$50 for a basic tour shirt. I suppose that is a good price considering the cheapest tickets for many shows are $300. Back in my day the shirts cost as much as the concert ticket around $12.75.

I don't see this tour amounting to much. It's the same tired look, same band, same songs. I wish she would drop Free Falling. Why are you still doing this song!? Angel was a great surprise and she only did it once before dropping it. She seems a bit old and fragile on stage. Being 77 is part of the reason and of course what happened to her arm. I thought about going to North Carolina to see her since she isn't coming to Pittsburgh, but I think I'll pass.

Merchandise has been expensive for years. As a fan I bought a couple of t-shirts and a mug in 2009, but prices were already ridiculously expensive. And in 2014, it goes without saying.

I bought the fake FM 2018 tour shirt(the real one- NEW) on ebay, for like $10.

Firing Lindsey is her legacy to FM.

Oh yeah, I've still never worn it.

About $300.00 for average seats and you don't even get a new production. It's the same screens and visuals she's had for nearly a decade. Plus...Angel is already out of the set? I honestly don't know why she bothers to rehearse anything new. 9/10 times it gets the axe within 3 shows.

It’s a stroke of brilliance to open the show with a Buddy Holly classic. Not only is it a good song that Stevie and the band do well, it also carries a nice message for Stevie’s new show.

What a shame to see Angel disappear from the set so soon. I think she started singing the second verse again when it should have been the outro. Be nice if it came back, but looks like the same tired old set is back again.

Which she knew they would
They were all so very, very good but they just did not know the song

A real artist who thinks of her songs as her children would challenge her fans a bit more with the setlist. She’s touching two, TWO, of her solo albums. Nothing post 1983 from one of her albums. That’s just pathetic.

younger generations don't know anything beyond the hits and she'll cater to them as long as they're buying tickets. She's not an artist and hasn't been for a long time now. She's just selling product. It's why she can't write anything worth crap anymore either. She's not out having raging love affairs and that's all she can write about so....no new material. And she's been resting on her laurels for a long time now too.

I watched the BBC documentary about Ozzy Osbourne (there's a second one streaming as well which I haven't watched yet) and he and his family were talking about how bad it got for him (real, serious depression) when his medical stuff made it impossible for him to finish what was supposed to be his big farewell tour. At one point he talked about how you get into that groove of being in the studio, making an album, putting it out, rehearsing for a tour, then touring for months...and when you aren't doing that it's totally disorienting and depressing and all. It deffo made me think of Stevie and how she too is so used to that routine....she complained all during COVID about how bored she was not able to go out and do stuff (neither could real people, stevie) and it made me think how when she WAS so crazy busy for years with solo and FM stuff non stop all she could do was whine about time off and moving to a remote castle on a cliff by the ocean or a mobile home in Malibu by the ocean and just being with her art and her music and her dogs... and she couldn't hack it at all when she was forced to do it. She really did make the music biz her whole life and it's going to be disastrous when she stops. So my bet is she really won't ever stop til she physically can't. And even then she'll do what Ozzy ended up doing, and Joni Mitchell has done-- sit onstage in a big chair and sing.

Yes. However even she could add a couple of songs. I like Pink Floyd so I went to a Roger Waters concert in 2007, because it was announced he'd play the whole Dark Side of the Moon album. But he included 2 or 3 songs not so known, or even from his latest solo material. Artists do that. And she could do that and a couple of those songs will not make her lose audience, and will please her old fans. But, she won't do that.

Amen to all of that!

She is a walking contradiction. She is an entertainer and raking in the money. She has never cared about interacting with her fans let alone actually caring whether or not they enjoy the setlist. Same old same old. Nothing ever changes. Fans keep shelling out a ton of money to see her and there is never any negative pushback so it goes on and on…. I don’t blame her for taking the easy road. I stopped going to her concerts a long time ago.

That’s true. I agree it would be boring to see the same playlist for diehard fans. But I think there also might be people our age who might go see her for the first time

And casual fans are another story. For example, I like to listen music while I shower and today I was listening Angel but after that Tusk song, Angel by Madonna started playing. Then I thought... I've never been to a Madonna concert, and if I were to go, as a casual fan I'd like to listen her old hits from the 80s, plus one or two from the 90s. Don’t care at all about her latest material, actually I don’t know any of her songs from the latest 20 years. So if she sang the whole (1990) Immaculate Collection plus a couple of singles from the Ray of Light album, I’d be more than happy. I guess many Stevie casual fans feel the same nowadays, specially if it’s their first time.

But that’s about the setlist. Everybody expects a good performance, a good show. And the lack of energy I’ve seen in videos from the first two nights is evident. I wouldn’t be satisfied if I went to see a show where the performance was questionable.

Sadly, she doesn't delight those young people with great songs such as Talk To Me, I Can't Wait, or Silver Springs. It would be a joy if Not Fade Away and Free Falling were replaced with Stevie Nicks songs.

The thing is, no one is even asking her to do deep cuts necessarily..... just other hits. Like someone said, I Can't Wait was big, or Talk to Me, or If Anyone Falls, or...others (I'm just spitballing here, it's very early morning and I haven't had my first caffeine). I liked when she threw Fall From Grace in there coz it had energy. When you think about it, she really doesn't have all that many really "up", high-energy songs....and she already does most if not all of them (Stand Back, Edge, Rhiannon, even Gypsy is upbeat and bouncy) I mean GDW, just as a SONG, isn't a boot-stomping, dancing around song by itself. The ENDING gets raucous because it's where the guitars run free and she writhes around to that. It's not a fast-tempo song by itself at all. Neither is Dreams and certainly not Landslide.

Angel should have fit that bill-- it's fast, it's bouncy, and boy she sure did dance the heck out of it in early days. Sure she can't do that much dancing at all now, but the song is still upbeat. But.....cut.

It's no wonder songs like Storms, Beautiful Child etc don't do well at big arena shows. They're too snoozy. They would be fanTAStic in a small intimate venue and I would love love to see her do one of those but, maybe it's ego....she hasn't and I bet won't do that. Which is a shame. It would actually embellish her reputation as an artist to do some intimate shows and focus on other material. But it feels like to her brain and to her team playing a small theater or club would mean she "has" to or that she can no longer sell out bigger venues. Which you know people like Prince, or Springsteen and others never seemed to think, and would do both if for no other reason than to keep it interesting for THEMSELVES, and be able to play whatever they want instead of the pressure of big hits which an arena demands. Again, difference between "artists" and "entertainers". She is firmly in the latter. And I get it, there's far more money in being an entertainer than an artist. Just don't be one but pretend to be the other.

Totally on point about Bruce and Petty did theater shows in 2013 then did an arena tour in 2014. But even in arenas and stadiums, Bruce and Petty deliver/ed the hits and fan favorites but also dug deep to play new album or old album songs that most people didn’t know. To Stevie’s credit, she played Beautiful Child every night on SYW, Storms every night on Unleashed, and Sisters every night on Live 2013. She was crushing it at those shows. Something changed after the 2013 FM tour and that’s nothing to do with Christine returning.

I agree people might get sleepy if she sang 20 minutes of slow songs. But one song between hits should be welcome. Storms was very emotional in the Unleashed concert. Not as apotheotic as Paul's Yesterday or Queen's Love of my Life, both great concert hits, but I think Storms or BF would be welcome. Or at least it shouldn't be a reason for casual fans to be disappointed with the entire concert.

It's just impossible to understand. As a fan from the beginning, who got to see--whether live or on tapes bought and traded from fanzines--those incredible performances, I can't understand who is watching this shell of a person phoning it in with a level of energy so low that it's depressing. Sigh. I'm not dogging her out--even though I'd never go to any of these shows, especially not after 2018, but if she'd do some theaters, that would at least have some dignity. I wonder how much her decisions have to do with being able to pay the musicians and crew. She looks bored, tired, in pain, and burned out. Still selling out arenas, though. I just don't know who'd want to watch a doddering old woman who doesn't even look like she's having fun anymore.

As another fan from the beginning, she certainly doesn't look like she is happy from the videos I've seen! Personally, I would rather she retire gracefully than people remembering her tired, unhappy and just going through the motions! It would be interesting to hear another interview regarding how she's feeling, how long she wants to continue?

Perhaps the "unhappy" look is due to the pain in her shoulder. Again, a lesson from Tom...he continued touring with his hip pain and should have stopped the tour. And guess who even said that very thing after he died from all the pain meds he was taking to continue his tour? The very Stevie who is now touring in pain. I mean jeebus she's pushing 80 and fell and broke her shoulder. At that age it takes MONTHS of recovery, like 6 months or more, and she went out on tour when, like two months after, maybe? And she was CLEARLY in real pain that first show or so with videos of her cradling it and walking around holding it against her body.:(

I agree. She already postponed the first dates. I wonder how much trouble would it cause to postpone the entire tour for six months or more. Logistically, financially, perhaps many fans would then ask for a refund. Even emotionally; the risk of his health not being the best in a year also increases with age. Starting the tour now was likely a way to avoid further complications.

I saw this clip today. God bless her out on the road approaching 80. Look how timid she is to walk near the fans next to the ramp. She looks and seems to discover a bunch of fans she wants to go over to. Then she looks like she's walking on ice. Poor thing! Waddy cold have at least given her a walker with fresh tennis balls for the Edge Walk.

Just curious- who else do you think should quit performing live so they could “at least have some dignity?” Phil Collins, who sat in a chair for his entire concerts? Ann Wilson, who sat in a wheelchair for her performances? Debbie Harry, who the last time I saw her live never ventured from her microphone stand? The woman from the Cranberries, who sat on a stool during their final tour because of back injuries? Yes, as you said, Stevie’s concert performances today are dramatically low energy compared to 1975. Anyone expecting to see that same level of performance today would be disappointed. However, everyone going to see her now knows she’s almost 80 years old, so they don’t expect her to do a split or twirl during every song.

As for who would “want to watch a doddering old woman who doesn’t even look like she’s having fun anymore,” well apparently there are thousands of people who do. I checked Ticketmaster to see how many tickets were left for her Nov 30 show in Cincinnati- the seating capacity is 17,556 and there were maybe 200 tickets left. Glad you’re not dogging her out LOL although comments like “doddering old lady” seem to suggest otherwise.

Glad you’re not dogging her out LOL although comments like “doddering old lady” seem to suggest otherwise.
Stevie loves the road. She always has. Her parents both lived until very late in life and she will probably too. Even in the video I posted where she seems afraid to walk her smile was authentic and as big as ever. She actually looked like a little girl with her sinister big smile. Yes her shows are still packing them in. The money is just too good not to not be on the road unless you could not do it. Stevie also uses no vocal backing tracks which is really rare for older artists these days. She needs to road to keep her focus and to not feel her age. She supposedly is doing another album? I am sure she will tour again next year to promote it.

Stevie’s concert performances today are dramatically low energy compared to 1975. Anyone expecting to see that same level of performance today would be disappointed.

Even compared to 2014, last time I saw the Mac. But I guess people who go this year to her concerts must expect a show of someone at 77 years old. And if they like it, good for them. I wouldn't go; in general, not only about Stevie, I wouldn't pay for a show featuring someone whose movements and/or singing are difficult compared to the performance they used to give. But that's me. Of course if it is kind of show like a classical music pianist or violinist, that's another thing. In that case yes, I would go.

Despite what we know about her, what she is, what she's done, it makes me a little sad to see how she walked in that short clip, IMHO it should already be her last tour. But again, that's me.

I'd go see that person in a smaller, more intimate venue. A large arena requires a bigger show, and bigger energy. But, as someone pointed out, plenty of people are shelling out the cash to attend this tour so....I mean, from a business perspective, good on her. She kinda is the only female performer of her age selling seats like she does. That's not a small thing, and to her I think it's a pretty big thing. She likes being a record-setter, and having that kind of relevance, so as long as there are people buying, she'll be selling as long as she can. Honestly what other solo female (this does not therefore include a band like Heart) is out there at almost 80 selling out arenas? Just men. She's proud of this and it's fair bragging rights, so again, good on her, but for those of us who see the difference between the before and after of her career, it's just too hard to watch. But to each their own.

I agree completely and I wouldn’t pay hundreds of dollars to see Stevie live. Or at least not with this setlist, anyway. Like Macfan4life and bombaysaffires have pointed out, she somehow is pulling the crowds in… I don’t understand how, but she is.

I really am curious what other people think about acts like Phil Collins and Ann Wilson, still touring despite being pretty much immobile. When I saw some of the videos of their performances on YouTube, I cringed. But I would never say they should retire, and apparently they’re selling tickets anyway, so the audience must not mind too much. I saw Dolly Parton several years ago and she was fantastic! Now, did she sound fantastic? No, she did a lot of that whispery-type singing instead of trying to hit any high notes, but no one cared. I’m sure if I saw some of her performances on YouTube, I might think she didn’t sound good, but seeing her live, it didn’t matter. I imagine the same thing happens at a concert with any of these older artists- people are happy to see them while they can.

Ann Wilson is a trooper. She had to postpone the current tour due to cancer treatment. In recovery she broke her arm. When she appeared back on the road she was in a wheel chair not from the cancer but from the shoulder or arm fracture. I think performing is part of her rehab. Going on the road for fans gives them a purpose. Heart also is getting some really good tour numbers. There is a cult of Stevie so she will always lure people to shows. Concert ticket prices are so high that the money is so freaking good from even a short tour.

Her mom died at age 84…. Stevie is now 77.

I just watched Gypsy, GDW and Rhiannon from Charlotte last night. She barely dances, she doesn't move much, which is logical given everything we know. But her voice is fine. As I said, I wouldn't be interested on going, but there's no doubt she still commands crowds, and judging by the sound of the audience, they weren't disappointed.

I had no plans to go to the Charlotte show, but for S&G I checked the ticket prices. Someone was selling a front row seat for over $5,000. Someone probably paid it too. I haven't seen her live in over 20 years. TISL was the last tour I saw.

Such a shame she did Angel once and then dropped... was ecstatic when I saw clips on TikTok.

The set is so short and tired now. Just like Stevie! They started autotuning her vocals a few years back as well.

I don't get that and she didn't replace it with another song. There were even articles online about her playing Angel live.

People said she dropped Running Through The Garden on the Say You Will Tour but she was still singing Goodbye Baby, Beautiful Child, Destiny Rules (for a few shows), and Say You Will after opening night in 2003.

Maybe she just didn't like how her solo band played Angel.

That would be the most logical reason, though I wouldn't agree with her. I just watched a short and it wasn't bad, and if I compare Angel with other songs from this tour, it was fine. Of course I'm not comparing it to shows from previous years; it wouldn't make sense to do so anymore.

I disagree. IMHO she is reading the audience and most of the audience does not know the song which probably unnerved her. She did this with I Sing For The Things last year too. She put it in the set once or twice and then never again. They practice all of these songs to death so I don't think its her band. Its her and how she is not getting feedback from the audience. The Mac on its last 2018 tour dropped some of the most epic songs Isn't It Midnight and Hypnotized probably for the same reason.
Having said all this, is she not opening her set with a cover song these days? I think she realizes sticking to the songs her audience wants to sing along with is best. I bet 80% of that arena does not own a copy of Tusk.

Fleetwood Mac also dropped Storms from the 2018 set after 10 shows. But on the 2009 Tour they did Storms over 80 times and in 2013, album tracks Sisters of the Moon & Without You were played over 80 times. In 2015, they dropped Seven Wonders from the set, yet Stevie said it became a huge hit in 2014 because of American Horror Story, but they kept playing Sisters of the Moon in 2015. I don't understand it!

Saw Stevie this evening in Toronto, the show was sold out. Opener was Abby Anderson. Stevie was in lively form, and her vocals were as good as they have been in recent years. She danced after a fashion as she usually does, did a few twirls. The setlist had no surprises except the inclusion of The Lighthouse. Talked to people nearby, various age groups, some had come from far away. The crowd was on its feet and sang along throughout. Good fun.

She also included the addition of her cover of Not Fade Away. How was your seat?
With her introduction or post-song comments re The Lighthouse, did she share her thoughts about the U.S.A. at this moment?

Had great seats on the floor about halfway back. Her intro to The Lighthouse was mostly about the writing of the song and how it was produced and recorded. Her only vaguely political comment was basically that she saw things happening, they weighed on her mind and she wrote it very quickly. Then she shared what she had written with a friend and it grew from there.

That’s great you had a good night. I’m surprised she was vague about The Lighthouse like she is in the United States while she was in Canada. Springsteen certainly wasn’t when he toured Europe this year, but Stevie does her thing.
Did she hit any high notes that you can remember? Thank you for reporting here.

No big notes that I recall. Everything was delivered in typical contemporary Stevie style. Crowd roared when she "twirled" for Stand Back and did her long dance in GDW with the shawl. Instrumentation/background was techno-ed a lot for those two songs too.

I just watched the Stand Back performance. Yes her voice was fine, for her 77 years it sounds good. And watching her twirls, it looks like she is feeling better than in the first dates. Hope her shoulder is healing weel.

I didn’t either, quite frankly. They missed the core of it. It needs to hustle. The band played it the way they play “Dreams.” Boom-tat, boom-tat, boom-tat. Far too andante.

Apart from Taylor Swift, Stevie might just be the biggest and most esteemed woman pop star in the country now. (Maybe Bette Midler and Madonna are still up there.)

Stevie has endured much longer than Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, and the other teen pop queens who were ascendant when Stevie was sliding downhill.

It seems Google disagree with you.

Sometimes I use translator to be sure what some words mean. And I translate the whole sentence to ensure the correct context. I selected the exact sentence and clicked Translate, but apparently Google added the surname of the singer it considers biggest and most steemed.

Aparte de Taylor Swift, Stevie Wonder podría ser la estrella pop femenina más grande y prestigiosa del país en este momento. (Quizás Bette Midler y Madonna todavía estén entre las mejores).
