Evidently per his landscape lighting contractor (Gambino Landscape Lighting), if you can believe social media.

Oh yes, I see. A documentary could be interesting….is it suggesting it’s from Lindsey? Is Lindsey backing it? Making it? Narrating it? Producing it????

The documentary is in the works for Apple TV, being directed by Frank Marshall, a release date has not been announced. Excerpt from Rolling Stone (November 19, 2024) is below:
Today, Apple Original Films announced the definitive new documentary on rock royalty Fleetwood Mac. The fully authorized documentary is directed by five-time Academy Award nominee and Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award winner Frank Marshall (“The Bee Gees: How Can You Mend a Broken Heart,” “The Beach Boys,” “Rather”), and for the first time ever, Grammy Award-winning Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees Fleetwood Mac share their extraordinary story in their own words.
“I am fascinated by how this incredible story of enormous musical achievement came about,” said director Frank Marshall. “Fleetwood Mac somehow managed to merge their often chaotic and almost operatic personal lives into their own tale in real-time, which then became legend. This will be a film about the music and the people who created it.”

I knew Apple Original Films announced last november they were developing the "definitive" Fleetwood Mac documentary.
Well Frank Marshall didn't dissapoint me with his Beach Boys documentary. But let's see if this won't be another doc primarily focused on how L&S joined the band and the more than well-known Rumours nightmares.

That’s like 5 years since his last album. I think he had health issues at the end of 2022 but I think he performed at a Will Ferrell event in 2023. This is really a long time. I know he was sharing new tracks with his solo band in 2022 for them to preview because his drummer shared that. It’s just a really long time in between recent LB albums, imo.
I guess I’ve got Stevie’s “The Ghost Record” to look forward to before Lindsey’s album comes out. I don’t think I’ll be buying a Mick Fleetwood solo record.

I agree, it is an awfully long time. I’m curious why there’s such a long gap between the announcement and the release date, especially since we know Lindsey has been working on the album for a while already. My concern is that a full year before the album is released makes it more challenging for a tour to follow. Not that Lindsey is in poor health, but his age is a factor. Same thing with Stevie, too. Everyone can see her performances are slowing down as she gets older, and with Lindsey playing AND singing live, he’s doing double the work.

Well you don’t want to hear Lindsey sing new songs in concert anyway:laugh:
Stevie we know will do concerts without a new album out as we see she’s picking touring up this August. Are you going to see her in Cincinnati?

LOL that’s probably true! But that’s mostly true of FM, not Lindsey solo. When it comes to FM, I’d rather hear deep cuts than new songs. Book of Love, That’s Alright, As Long As You Follow, Crystal, I Don’t Want to Know- those are all songs I would have rather heard than new songs.
The last time I saw Stevie live solo was for Trouble in Shangri-La. Surprisingly, every new song she played for that tour were songs I enjoyed from the album. I lucked out that time! I’ll never see Stevie live again, but If FM ever toured one last time I’d see them. I doubt that will happen, though. I would see Lindsey live again.
How about you? Any plans to see either one of them live?

I’m going to see Stevie in Vegas. Needed to make a vacation. I’m really hoping it’ll be a totally new show. Seeing Lindsey live again would be great as long as Neale Heywood is with him. I would love Fed Pol to be in the band but I think Lindsey’s tour has a tiny budget.

well geez the guy is in his mid-70s, he was fired from his band, he's had a major heart attack, his marriage fell apart.... and people want to whine that he hasn't put an album out in several years??
And he's a guy who is defined by taking several years between solo albums anyway (with only a couple exceptions over 40 years)....
It's pretty remarkable that ANY of these old geezers (and not just FM) are still out there milking it. Used to be the old farts showed up on nostalgia concerts on PBS.

I remain skeptical that any of these dudes can do a balanced film to start with (avoiding the whole "camps" style of things that is so common these days, i.e., you are either in the "Stevie camp" or the "Lindsey camp"). And as far as a "definitive" documentary?? I have low expectations. I'd love to see one, but.....

Based on this landscaper there are rumours about a possible Fleetwood Mac reunion. I saw it trending yesterday and here is an article. It would not surprise me and I have predicted it especially now with this documentary coming. When Stevie is about to call it quits she will want to make peace and do some sort of reunion with Lindsey IMHO. Sheryl Crow tweeted "Don't Stop Thinking About Tomorrow" and reminded everyone her cousin plays bass. Anyway here is one article:
