Pic of them with their arms around each other and smiling for the camera in LA at the 6th Jam For Janie Grammy Awards Viewing Party
Lindsey actually looks genuinely happy. Mick's expression is a little odd to me

it appears Mick was backing up Steven Tyler, organizer of the Grammy viewing party held to raise money for a charity.

Here's a group photo with Steven Tyler. I wonder if Mick knows about Gavin's recent performance history especially since he had a falling out with Rick in 2016 over Rick's views.
I'm guessing Lindsey was Mick's guest at his table at Steven Tyler's fundraising event. I don't think Lindsey and Steven know each other.

Those pics are good. Some sort of post-Mac Lindsey/Mick collaboration with two or three other talents would be fun

I dunno.....it's equally possible Lindsey bought his own ticket....or even table  People often buy a table to make the big donation to the charity, and then give tickets to friends, colleagues who maybe couldn't afford it on their own.
I’m just really pleased Lindsey looks fit and happy.
Even the hair looks great…

If anything musical happens among the remaining Rumours five, it will be from these two.

If anything musical happens among the remaining Rumours five, it will be from these two. Mick shared the photo of him and Lindsey on his Instagram. I don't think Mick was unhappy to take the photo with Lindsey like it was suggested in this thread. Pretty incredible to see two members of The Classic core group standing together at this time.

If I had to guess, Stevie was invited to this event by Steven Tyler (her friend) but chose not to go because Mick told her Lindsey was going to attend.

Well, that's good. Because they should never share a stage again. I hope the old grudge holder doesn't change her ways.
And Lindsey looks really healthy in this pic.

You give these people about as much depth as a character in a high school drama on The WB. That ain’t how it works.
I’ve never seen an actual accounting that Mick and Rick fell out in 2016 over Rick’s political leanings, but even assuming that’s true, it might be less about Rick’s actual views and more about how he was publicly expressing them. In any case, Mick has worked with Rick at least twice since 2016, including a remake of “These Strange Times” with Bekka, who is fairly active in Nashville’s Democratic Party.
Regardless, I doubt Mick gave two thoughts about Gavin DeGraw performing at Trump’s inauguration. I mean, John McVie performed at Clinton’s inauguration and he didn’t vote for Clinton. For that matter, John and coexisted for over two and a half years in Fleetwood Mac with Bekka and the only reason it ended was because of money.
You place way more stock in politics and cliques than these people do. It was a charity event. They were more concerned about raising money for people of all political persuasions. What? Did you think they were only raising money for Harris voters who lost their homes?

I don't want to wait for our lives to be over
I want to know right now what will it be
I don't want to wait for our lives to be over
Will it be yes or will it be sorry?”

Is Stevie that close with Steven? I always got the impression he was closer with Mick. He performed with Mick at Fleetwood's and on the Peter Green tribute. Steven might have a house in Hawaii as well.

Steven is Mick’s next door neighbor in Hawaii.
That being said, the first song Steven Tyler ever sang with Joe Perry was “Rattlesnake Shake”.

That's what I was thinking, too. Mick's worked with him. I doubt Steven would want to work with Stevie. Too much ego for one room.

Rick said in a Peter Green tribute video that he and Mick had a falling out in 2016, and that they reconciled because Mick needed Rick for the PG Tribute. If Lindsey performed at Trump's inauguration or tweeted like Rick did about Black Lives Matter, I think you'd be speaking differently.

She opened for Aerosmith in the 2000s, he came to her CMT Crossroads taping, and there are some very cute photos of them together at the 2014 Vanity Fair Oscars party. I think there are some 90s photos of them together too.

Did Rick say anything about his views changing?
or tweeted like Rick about Black Lives Matter
THAT was the crux of the fallout. It wasn’t about Rick’s political views, it was the way he chose to publicly express those views. Fleetwood Mac was still together and still in the planning stages of another world tour. Rick’s tweets could have become an unnecessary distraction that had the potential to be bad for business for the mothership.

Not really. Mick was like a brother to a guy who dressed up like a Nazi and a woman who dressed in blackface as Mammy for Halloween.
Lindsey Buckingham was a key member of Fleetwood Mac. They’ve known each other for fifty years and have probably sold close to 100 million albums. Lindsey is in a completely different category in Mick’s life than Rick.
Ultimately, a gig is a gig and shouldn’t be construed as an endorsement. John McVie wasn’t endorsing Clinton when they played the inauguration AND John very diplomatically let it be known he’s a Republican.

I know this is a hypothetical statement, but to be clear: one of the many reasons I respect Lindsey is because of his character and his integrity. He most certainly wouldn’t perform for Trump or make anti-BLM statements on social media.

Not remotely. This wasn't a gig for Gavin - this seems to have been a calling for him. I actually saw him open for Billy Joel once.
Lindsey has done progressive caucus fundraisers in California since 2018. I'm talking recent - not Greenpeace in the 70s.
Of course we know about Peacekeeper and the Bush admin. I think I remember Rudy Giuliani got a dedication from Stevie on Say You Will. I don't think she got into other world affairs on that record.

Something might be getting lost or mixed up in the back and forth. I was simply saying one of the reasons I love Lindsey is he most certainly would not have performed at a pro-Trump event and/or post anti-BLM material online. He’s a progressive. I like that about him.

So open up your morning light
And say a little prayer for I
You know that if we are to stay alive

I don’t think Mick was concerned about Rick Vito’s comments about BLM, whatever they were, because of how they might affect the FM “mothership.” No FM fan was going to miss a tour because a former member made politically charged comments.
Even though I cringe when I see that photo you referenced, it’s because of how we’ve progressed. At that time, I certainly don’t think John was a fan of Hitler, or that Christine was racist. Just because Mick had no problems with their Halloween costumes 40 years ago doesn’t mean he wouldn’t be swayed by views today.
