Old grey whistle test interview

[sue]

Bob Harris has taken over Sounds of the 70s on Radio 2.
(Johnny Walker died recently after a long illness)

Bob Harris presented The Old Grey Whistle Test, in the 70s
It was good to hear him play TOGWT interview with Lindsey and Mick.
From 1977
They sound so young …
Bob then played Rhiannon obv. followed by GyoW.

Stevie added looking back how innocent they were.
But already famous you know

Nothing new, but cheered up a very grey wet Sunday.
It’s on YouTube etcetc

And don’t ask me how I did that, I haven’t a clue…..
It’s a learning curve you know

I was listening to the Radio and Bob was playing back the interview

OMFG Lindsey starts telling about how Mick was out looking for a studio and heard his and Stevie's song....and he says "That was about a year...a year and 8 months ago now....."

Mind boggling.

I wonder why here (1976? ) Lindsey laughed briefly before answering how they joined the band (at minute 1:28). He has told the story lot of times in later interviews and documentaries, and the question never made him laugh, even though he's probably been asked that so many times that the question has probably become tiresome.
