I was going down a Red Rocks rabbit hole this week and came across the Skies the Limit video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTkQ5lG4Sv8
Based on my research, it appears this was filmed over two nights, in June 1990. Although, if you watch, you will notice that the video contains moments from other songs -- for example, the video includes the moment at the very beginning of the show where the masks come up and back, revealing the band behind them, playing (partially) "In the Back of My Mind," which leads into The Chain.
Based on that, and other moments, like the backstage footage, etc., it looks like they must have filmed the whole show! I wondered if anyone had any further information on this, since people on this board were likely in attendance.

I don’t have any tidbits about the missing footage, but I saw the June 1, 2, and 3 concerts in Northern California, and I remember that “Say You Love Me” was the opening song (followed by “The Chain”).
Wikipedia doesn’t display the set list from those June days. In June, they also played “When the Sun Goes Down” with Christine on accordion. There used to be an audience-shot video of the Las Vegas concert on June 10, which would help verify the June set lists.

Someone once posted here that they were at that Red Rocks show, and he said the entire concert was filmed, and after the concert the audience was invited to stay for the filming of the Skies the Limit video. He said the band performed the song a couple of times.
I would LOVE to see the concert released, as part of a Deluxe Edition BTM. Maybe after everything else by FM has been squeezed dry, the label will consider it. Good eye catching the clip of ITBOMM!

We'll get Rumours re-released 20 more times including in hologram before we get Deluxe BTM probably...

I’ve never seen a bootleg of their 1990 shows that didn’t open with “In The Back of My Mind” segued into “The Chain”, which was the opener when I saw them on June 26.
SYLM was the opener for the 1987 tour.
Unless that banner they were hiding behind didn’t come until later in the month.

It may not have been their intent to release the full show just because it was filmed. The video is fun because it has clips from the entire tour. You see them on the tour plane, back stage, and in various other songs. We even see Stevie in her Stand Back cape. All the footage was selected and edited in. The album was not successful and did not chart hit singles so I doubt releasing a full concert would have sold many copies.
But who knows maybe this filming was scheduled when the tour was announced thinking they had a hit album on their hands. I always liked the song and video and its a shame the video never really was shown. It was shown a few times on Vh1 but never MTV which played the hell out of Save Me.
When bands are on tour and in need of a video a live stage video always does the trick. Its inexpensive too.

Yeah, SYLM was not performed until the tour resumed when Chris came back and Chris dropped Save Me for SYLM in a few shows. I think she was being nostalgic for a farewell tour.
But who knows in early shows because we've heard that When The Sun Goes Down was played a few times with Chris on accordion.
They definitely got the Skies the limit video done in time because just weeks later everything came to a halt for months.

I think there will be more Rumours releases in the future. It is their gold mine.
The point is, when they consider that a BTM deluxe/expanded release sales will be well above its break-even point, then it will be possible.

If they put a nice box set together with 5.1 SS, Live show, Unreleased disc of demos and other unreleased songs.Videos. Especially with the passing of Christine if there is any of her material floating around, It could do well.

I've bought Rumours at least 8 times, but NONE since the 2003 reissues.

Wow, I guess I never thought her vocals were that prominent to call it a duet, at least not like Do You Know. But in that case, I would also include In the Back of My Mind, where Christine is also featured quite a bit.

Very true but ain't gonna happen. This is a Fleetwood Mac fan board and 75% of this board hates BTM and ranks it as one of the worst albums ever. So just imagine what everyone else thinks.
I really dig BTM. How anyone can listen to Mick, John, and Chris jam with a little Billy and not like it fascinates me. There is so much great playing on the album. It missed all the slick synth pop wrapping that some seem to enjoy on Tango.
The masses even forget about this line up and the album.
I had bought the cassette in 1990. A few months ago I bought a used CD of BTM on Ebay and listened to it "back to front" for over a week. I LOVE IT.

I did and still love BTM. If they can do box sets/ remastered releases from the lineups from 1967-1974 there is no reason they shouldn’t do a BTM release.

ITBOMM only featured Christine on backing vocals.
WICTL was an actual duet. They sing together throughout, Billy sings “I need to know, what you feel” and Christine answes “I’ve got show, it’s for real”. Listen to it again.

Early June, things started with “Say You Love Me.” Not sure how long “When the Sun Goes Down” was retained, but it was there for several shows at the beginning of June in Northern CA.

No we believe you. It seems Say You Love Me was the opener early on before the tour was postponed. When it resumed it was dropped. The show I saw in November did have Say You Love Me but it was near the end of the set. Chris dropped Save Me and would alternate between both songs for the rest of the tour.
Now this tour does have some really infamous rumours and urban legends. Remember it was all over the Mac boards in the early days of the internet that the Mac opened with Sara in NJ in 1990? No proof of that ever. Another rumor was that Billy sang Rhiannon somewhere on the east coast in 1990. No proof of that either. If you say you saw them perform When The Sun Goes Down, I believe it. I could totally see that. The new guys finally had songs of their own to sing.
Going back to Steve's point. Did the Say You Love Me early dates open with the big masks? If not, is it not ironic than the Behind The Mask Tour did not have masks yet when the Farewell leg was announced they added Behind The Mask props. That's pretty interesting.

Those mid to late July dates are not accurate. Those dates were cancelled and resumed in October and November. When you click on them it shows a setlist and as if the show happened. According to that link, The Chain was the opening number when the tour started and Say You Love Me was not performed. It shows up as the opener in Las Vegas and Red Rocks, CO and then is removed again from the set.
Who knows.

That wasn’t the setlist for most of the tour. At some point, apparently in June, “In the Back of My Mind” segued into “The Chain” (ITBOMM ended when Stevie sang “remember” after Christine’s part in the song). The band hid behind a banner that had a few masks going across while that intro was playing. The banner came down when Rick’s guitar intro started. When I saw them on June 26, 1990, this was the setlist.
In the Back of My Mind ->
The Chain
Dreams
Isn't It Midnight
Love Is Dangerous
Oh Well
Rhiannon
Stop Messin' Round
Save Me
Gold Dust Woman
I Loved Another Woman
Landslide

Everywhere
Stand on the Rock
Little Lies
Stand Back
You Make Loving Fun
Go Your Own Way
Encore:
Tear It Up
Don't Stop
They were having technical issues that caused them to be late, so “Songbird” was skipped.

You saw them on one of the last dates before it got cancelled. What you say is true except for the fact that Save Me was not completely dropped. I saw a show in November and no Save Me (SYLM instead). But I have seen a few youtube shows when the tour resumed in October and November had Save Me instead of SYLM.
I suppose it would be fair to say that SYLM was briefly played a few times early in the tour and briefly played when the tour resumed in replace of Save Me. Sort of crazy and sad to think their lead single from BTM was not even being played at shows anymore while still sort of promoting BTM. Stevie performed no songs from BTM and many dates neither did Chris. The new guys finally had their own songs to sing and they were put in the set.

It's easy to identify Christine in the song. Not like the first times I heard Don't Stop. I wasn't a Mac fan yet, so I didn't know enough about its members. L&C voices sound very similar in that song, I thought it was just one singer.

I just wanted to thank everyone who commented about about Christines’s singing on When It Comes to Love… I had to take a road trip this weekend so I brought Behind the Mask with me and you were all correct about how prominent she is on the song. I mean, I always heard her singing backing and harmony, but I always thought it was Billy singing the entire song. When I listened to the song this time, it was plain as day! It was like rediscovering an old favorite. WICTL was already one of my favorite songs from the album, but it’s even more of a favorite now!
In fact, song for song, the whole album was a joy to listen to. There’s honestly not one song I dislike. I LOVE Save Me, When It Comes to Love, In the Back of My Mind, Skies the Limit, Love is Dangerous, and Do You Know, and I like Stand on the Rock, Freedom, Hard Feelings, the Second Time, When the Sun Goes Down, Affairs of the Heart, and Behind the Mask. Hard Feelings is an interesting song… I remember hearing it on the radio and how shocked I was it was released as a single. The first time I heard it on the radio was the last time I ever heard it on the radio LOL as it really bombed. Not all songs are meant to be radio singles, but hearing it again this weekend really made me appreciate Billy’s songwriting and vocals.
Anyway, just wanted to say thanks again to everyone for their comments about the song in question.
