And I thought I was making a fool of myself when I sang Break on Through karaoke with 2 bottles of Merlot in my brain.

2 bottles of Merlot is my happy place.

In that head space, I tell my friends, "I don't like it a merlittle, I like it a MerLOT!"

This is basically my image of what the 2018 tour was like.

Nice. So you're making fun of the cover and of Christine McVie herself. Wow, what a true fan of this band you must be. Not.
This is why I left the Ledge months ago. Negative, nasty trolls, the lot of you, honestly.

Yeah make fun of me. Say I'm overreacting. Whatever.
The 2015 Version wasn't much better ...Christine is as pitchy as the cover version almost .....

She sounded better on oct. 2014. I went to the seventh show, NJ. I thought they would perform better in the first dates; I was right. Not like in the 80s, but their voices were a bit better than the latest videos I’ve seen.

No my impression of the 2018 tour is defined by that 'lineup's first public performance, on Ellen, where everything sounded a bit flat, unhappy, and disjointed and they used that hack keyboard thing for the hook in Gypsy. ie It had a muzak/karaoke vibe.
It wasn't meant as a comment on Chris's singing. Girl never lost her rhythm.

Speaking of Little Lies live in concert. Having Lindsey on the song (finally) in 2014 was great. I loved the extended guitar ending.
Having said that, I love the 1987 and 1990 versions in concert better. That grinding 80s keyboard in the beginning just scorched the areans.

I didn’t like it on the BuckMcVie tour. It’s amazing how Stevie’s one line in the chorus makes such a difference. (We’ll at least it did for me)

I've always thought it takes courage to stand up and sing (or record) karaoke. It takes courage to make a fool of yourself and to be able to have a go for the fun of it.

As was probably obvious, the cover is my own. It uses a pre-made MIDI backing track.

I have never been a natural singer like Stevie or Christine are/were. But I enjoyed doing this little karaoke bit and saying how much of a fool I am isn't going to dent my self-esteem. I know I am a crappy singer.

Water off a duck's back. Yeah I got offended before, but not because I think I can sing. Because comments like the one I've just quoted are mean-spirited in nature. -- Villavic, it would nice to see Fleetwood Mac fans lifting each other up (in general) instead of pushing each other down.

I didn't mean to offend anyone. I apologize if I did. Sometimes one tries to guess what the intention of a post is, and I honestly thought a little humor would be nice in this thread. But didn't mean to make fun of anyone in a bad way. In fact, in my comment I was making fun of myself.

I completely agree about the courage in karaokes. That's why I mentioned the merlot. Without it, I wouldn't have the courage to go out and sing :) . When I go to a karaoke, my intention is always to make fun of myself and laugh with my friends. And I assume everybody is there for the same reason.

Believe me, Cameron Diaz sings I Just Don't Know What to Do with Myself (My best friend's wedding) much better than me at karaokes.

I applaud anyone that can attempt to sing Christine. Stevie's songs seem to be easier. I didn't understand the context of your post. (Now I do.)

Feel free to post more, I truly can be hit or miss on karaoke. I tried to do Crystal once and boy it fell flat. Sometimes, depends on the monitor and the backing tracks, too.

Oh dear. If a song etc is your own work it would be better for everyone not to disguise that. That way, if we don't like it we can at least tell sweet little lies, suggest you rearrange it, or just settle for turning the page.

If you do so, there will be no more broken hearts, so let's give it a try.
