I find this to be yet another of her demos that never went anywhere because it didn't deserve to... because it isn't a complete song.... it's a nice early draft of a song, but.....nevermind the music, lyrically it's thin, skimpy, unfinished, overly repetitive...doesn't really tell you a story or take you on a journey. Now Silver Springs really takes you on a journey, from sadness to anger to revenge, it has highs and lows, each verse adds to the overall story...fantastic. Even Sara, as vague and metaphorical as it is has unique verses that build on each other.
Too many of her demos that never made it onto any album didn't do so because they weren't "ready for primetime". She got lazy on a lot of them. She had good ideas, good starts to a song but then... Again, when you think everything you poop out is gold, and don't go back and refine, and refine, and improve your original idea.....:sorry:

Building on Bombay's idea, which is a very good point in the overall decline of her songwriting abilities, the idea of All the King's Horses did see the light of day in Fall From Grace and actually fit nicely where she put it in the finished song. Then there's Whole Lotta Trouble where You're not my friend etc made it into a few different songs, to a not so great effect. I think a really cool project would be to harness her best as yet unused lyrical lines and weave them into some new song ideas.
Edit- forgot all about Moonlight which built from Lady From the Mountain, although it had some mixed reviews, I felt it worked well except that the song ended up being a tad overlong as many of In Your Dreams songs were
