Kennedy Center Honors...

...skips Stevie Nicks again.

This year's honorees are: Francis Ford Coppola, Grateful Dead, Bonnie Raitt, and Arturo Sandoval.

With such a groundbreaking and wallbreaking career as Stevie's, one has to wonder how all of these artists received it before her considering she is the Queen of Rock. Certainly Tina Turner isn't.

Or maybe this honor is not prestigious.

[sleepless child]

It's a shame it wasn't given to them before Christine died. I do think Stevie is deserving of the honor.

[Straightback]

Tina Turner most certainly is the Queen.

Google agrees.

Stevie? Maybe the Princess of rock.

[David]

The Eagles got honored in 2016 — but no Fleetwood Mac!

Here is my list of living candidates:

Brian De Palma
Spike Lee
Hal Ashby
Tavares
Talking Heads
Maxine Brown
Marilyn McCoo
Don DeLillo
Frederica von Stade
John (Coolidge) Adams

Lizzo, Janet, and many people within the black community recognize Tina as the Queen of Rock. And RollingStone.

On this board, Stevie is Queen of Rock and Pop. If you think she isn't or that she's an industry baby as Lil Nas X so wonderfully sings, you'll get treated like your brain is not developed.

All the musicians who received KCH are deserving: Aretha, Gloria, Cher, The Who, Eagles, McCartney, Bruce, U2, Carole, Billy, Elton, and EWF.

[Jondalar]

Bonnie Raitt only had a few hits.

I really believe FM is deserving of it. Sad that didn't happen before Christine passed.
