I just read the Rock Hall has announced additional special guests: Stevie Nicks, Adam Levine, Carrie Underwood, Common, Ice-T, LL Cool J, Miguel, Queen Latifah, and Sia. The ceremony will be broadcast live from Barclays Center in Brooklyn via Disney+.
I thought only inductees of the year perform at those ceremonies, but no.

People who are inducting the newbies often perform… I’m pretty sure Stevie sang some Linda Ronstadt songs at the ceremony the year Linda was inducted.

She’s singing If You Ever Did Believe and Redemption Day with Sheryl.

Stevie has a show the next day in Pennsylvania. Will she do a few songs with Sheryl? Will it be at the beginning? Will she stay for the all-star jam that closes the show?

$he should NEVER sing a Linda Ronstadt song. That's like her singing Pavarotti.

Can't wait to pop some popcorn for this one. I'm sure her speech for inducting Sheryl will surpass Sheryl's by at least 10 minutes. It will be more about Stevie than Sheryl. :]
Oh wait...the first 5 minutes of the speech will be all about how the producers told her she only has 5 minutes to talk and what a challenge that is. That's one of her favorite MOs in these situations.

Do people really not know Stevie sang It’s So Easy years ago when Linda was inducted? I’m certain it aired on HBO.

She sure did. Came out and went to the wrong mic as I recall. Lol

Glenn Frey pointed to her where to go! They did Linda's cover of It's So Easy and her cover of When Will I Be Loved.
Stevie seems to have been a regular at RRHOF Inductions. She knew how to ingratiate herself with that government, notably attending the induction in 2005, the year before her first year of eligibility - 2006. Then agreeing to do a tribute to Linda.

Strong Enough….. That was painful to watch and listen to. Sheryl’s voice is too strong and clear to pair with Stevie’s. Stevie is fine on her own but add Sheryl and Stevie sounds like an amateur. They just don’t blend. There was a time when they did but haven’t for a very long time. I think Sheryl was more willing to accommodate back then and take a back seat vocally toning her voice down but this was her night and she let her voice shine. Sheryl sounded beautiful.

I agree. But I also thought the sound was off or something was off when Olivio Rodriguez sang with Sheryl too. Stevie was featured in the Sheryl Crow segment and that was it for her. I never saw her in the audience so I don't think she stayed. Laura Dern inducted her and mentioned being in the studio with Sheryl and Stevie and watching them work. Sheryl wore her half moon necklace during her segment but took it off for later performances. Stevie was interviewed but I honestly can't remember what she said. All I can think when I look at her is that she has really aged. I know she's 75, but it's still hard for me to wrap my head around. After singing Strong enough, Peter Frampton came out. What a thrill for a 70's girl like me. He had to sit in a chair, and uses a cane, but he played beautifully. They did every day is a winding road and that was a much better performance. Stevie loosened up a little. During the song she walked over to Peter and kissed and hugged him. After the song she said something like "that's how you do do it right Peter?" Very classy. As for her hair and outfit. Same hair, which I really hate now. It's not flattering on her. She was all in black so it was hard to see the outfit. I couldn't tell about the shoes. She had the rouched leggings a flower long top and a jacket over it I think.

She did. But here is the kicker. Stevie gave interviews at the time saying how nervous she was and that she never sang one of Linda's songs before. Yet she forgets when she met Sharon she sang Poor Poor Pitiful Me. While Linda did not write that song, she made it famous. I always wondered how she did not know that. If it was the song you met your backup singer with you would think you would remember it forever. I know I know, it was the drugged out 70s.

because with Stevie it's not about historical accuracy, it's about spinning the story to create whatever impression she wants to project about herself. With her it's all about marketing herself.

I agree. But when I saw the interview when she said she did not know any of Linda's songs and never sang them before I wanted to slap her. Could you imagine the authentic story she could have told. By going on stage with an unknown to sing Poor Poor Pitiful Me led to a lifelong friendship and creative outlet for her own music. She could have performed with Sharon doing the song again and it would have been wonderful.
But we have to remember what we are dealing with here. It was Joe Walsh that said at a Prince video premier Stevie thought a Kentucky Fried Chicken commercial was the Prince video.

She did look much older in the interview package they played for Sheryl. I think it's the hair -- it's not flattering. However, in some of the backstage pictures, I thought she looked much better. I mean, everyone is looking older -- I did a double take at Dave Matthews. Except Missy Elliott. She's hardly aged. lol

Stevie has never made it a point to say anything positive or supportive of another female artist. Despite her PR as a "girl's girl" she is ferociously competitive with other women artists and is generally not a fan of women in the biz... recall her comment about not being keen on women business managers, PR agents etc giving her advice. She likes being the queen bee with a coterie of men under her thrall.
Which makes her relationship with Sheryl rather fascinating. On the one hand, Sheryl helped her arrange/produce much of TISL so there's the "someone who is useful to me" thing there. And Sheryl was kind of flavor of the month then, and we all know Stevie loves to try and associate herself with the latest younger new person. Also, Sheryl is friends with like every celebrity you can think of, which gets Stevie into that arena too.
I found their interview together on I think it was Oprah fascinating (I'm sure someone can set me straight if it wasn't) But it was where Sheryl blurted out that Stevie had told her that having kids would totally derail her career. Stevie about burst a blood vessel sputtering out a vehement denial which honestly it seemed like Sheryl enjoyed. I have no doubt Stevie said that to her, but Stevie never expected it to be told in public. It was interesting because the interview seemed to come after Stevie had distanced herself from Sheryl for a few years (no longer useful; off adopting kids) and it had an odd feeling like Sheryl doing it on purpose because she knew it would set Stevie off. ymmv

I have read several interviews with female artists who said Stevie was very supportive and encouraging of them- Vanessa Carlton, Haim, Natalie Maines, Paula Cole, Lana Del Ray. Katy Perry said in an interview that she asked Stevie what it was like competing with female singers in the 70s and 80s, because at the time Perry was in a feud with Taylor Swift, and she said Stevie reacted in shock and said there was no competing with other women, and that they supported each other. That sort of testimonial from someone who’s actually spoken to Stevie contradicts your comments that she’s competitive and not a fan of women in the biz.

She's said lovely things about newer, younger artists. I was talking about women in her era when she was competing on the charts.

Got it. I’d like to think that wasn’t the case, but you could be right.
