Stevie is coming to the Hollywood Hard Rock in February 2024. I was curious about ticket prices. OMG. The cheapest ticket at the last row of the arena is $255. Tickets on the side of the arena on the stage side $1725. 10 rows back is over $2000. Second row is $4900.
These are all per ticket. When I saw her 24K Gold tour in 2017, I paid about $350 for the side of the stage. The Hollywood arena went on sale today after 2 days of pre-sale and most seats are already sold.
Seats cost $832 in the mid-arena level.
For the love of God, who can afford $1600 for crappy mid arena seats?

Don't trust Ticketmaster. They're crooks. I got a VIP ticket for Carrie Underwood early this year for $125. The show was sold out or close to it. I waited to the day of the show to buy the ticket. Earlier in the day the same ticket for going for $600+. I don't like waiting to the last minute, but I'm definitely not paying those prices. It's a shame what has happened to the concert business.

Nope, sure can't. I've resigned myself to the ides that I probably won't see her live again. I've sprung for a couple of front-row seats before but at $5k a piece, it feels silly. How much $$ is that per minute?? Too much + she's further back from the audience than ever, no Edge walk, security guards are ruder than ever, and beers are $20 a piece. Seems like a racket.

Wait. A TicketMaster Official platinum ticket isn't $5,000, right? That's a reseller.

And far back meaning they have a barrier up?

Yes, the barrier is enormous. HUGE gulf between the front row an the stage...I think it may have started as a COVID precaution but now I think it's just comfort. Have you noticed those enormous industrial HVAC vents going on and off the center of the stage now? She's getting her own filtered oxygen pumped up there.

Not even great seats but not bad seats. Concert is 4 months away and its almost sold out

This is an auditorium rather than a sports arena, right? Less seats, higher prices. Eagles just announced a show here too. All the legends have played here except for U2, Roger Waters, and Madonna.

Over 40 US dollars a minute for a two hour show -- more if she's up there for less.

She better be telling some ripping yarns.

I admire Billy Joel who keeps the front rows from being sold. He then has his people go into the crowd and fill the front rows with fans. He hated to play in front of rich people who were not hardcore fans and just sat there.
During her Enchanted tour all ticket prices were the same. You had to go to separate ticket vendors for great seats. Anyone remember frontrowusa? I remember for $350 I got 8 rows back and still was able to get involved in the Edge walk. I scratch my head and say, who can afford these houses, these cars, and now concert tickets. If your brought a date to this concert and got mid-arena seats, it would cost you $2000.00 not including parking, shirts, program, or dinner. For $2000.00 I want to be able to shower with the artist. I personally like to sing in the shower and I would love to have a competitive Edge of 17 howl with her.

I would wait to buy. Those prices will go down. I bought my tickets for the Houston show the week they went on sale. A month before the show, seats in the same section were $100 cheaper.

I'm wondering if promoters want to charge more money for concert tickets to see legend status artists who are at the end of their career.

Hello, I just decided to go to Memphis this past weekend. I kept looking at tickets and front row was $1500. I checked again the morning of the show and it was down to $270 so I scored a front row ticket! She put on a great show in my opinion. I was too tired of the set list, but she took me away to another place like I always remembered.

Morning-of-the-show scores occurred a lot during the 2003 tour, too. I had some friends who didn’t care whether they attended the Anaheim show or not, but just for kicks they checked Ticketmaster that morning and snagged two front-row seats! They actually said to each other, “Are we really in the mood to fight the traffic?”

She put on a great show in my opinion. I was too tired of the set list, but she took me away to another place like I always remembered.

Glad you enjoyed.

Wow that is incredible! A front row ticket reduced BY THAT MUCH!

How was Stevie's mobility? Did she walk the stage during Edge of Seventeen (not shake hands). Any twirls throughout the show?

She did not move a lot, mostly just occasional circles around her mic stand. She did do the crack dance right in front of me, but held her back on the way back to her mic! Some twirls but very slow. It is what I expected to see.

No Edge of Seventeen walk.
She has not done that for about 15 years. Was not the TISRL tour the last time for that?
She physically cant do it anymore and these days they keep the fans so much further from the stage.

When she stopped shaking hands in 2012, she would still walk from one side of the stage to the other to wave at the side sections and the floor. I don’t think she has done that since the tour started in March!

That's more than a flight ticket to US if I wanted to go to a Stevie concert.

I don't remember how much the ticket was of the 1997 The Dance show I went (NYC), but looking for old prices, I found a page with U2 shows ticket prices: The 1987 Joshua Tree tour ticket prices comes out to $17.11 on average.
In 2001 $65.83 on average.
2017: average of $116.97. The minimum price of a general admission ticket on the tour was $70.
2018: average of $136.40 per ticket with the minimum face-value cost being $80.50.

I know first row seats cost far more than those numbers, but I don't think mid arena seats cost thousands of dollars.

My Dance ticket was $90, and not for a good seat. Halfway back, but at least not a lawn seat(Deer Creek ampitheater in Indy). The most I'd ever paid until that point in life. Paid $350 when Christine came out of retirement, for maybe 14th ish row seats, at Conseco in Indy.

The Eagles just announced a stop at this same venue. I wanted to compare and see if the Eagles had the same ticket prices or higher. Tickets are far more expensive for the Eagles Farewell tour than Stevie's rehashed 24k Gold tour (minus the good songs). A ticket mid arena was about $1100 for Stevie and its $1800 for the Eagles.
Even if you could afford a ticket and wanted to go, is there not a better use of $1800 than a concert you can watch on youtube? That's some people's mortgage payment or rent. These are not for great seats. They are mid-arena. The cheapest Eagles ticket I saw was $800. Stevie's was $350 at the last row on the top of the arena.

$1800 for the Eagles is an absolute joke. Scaled down repetitive setlist, no Glenn, and seriously degraded vocals. Ain’t NO FREAKIN WAY! I love them but I’ve seen them plenty of times and can spend that cash on a lot of better things. And I’m not a buy them last second sort of guy. I’m very tall and like an aisle seat with extra leg room. Those prices are shameful.

WHO pays $1800? Is unbelievable to me that people pay that. I saw them twice in Nashville when Vince and Deacon first joined(2015?), and paid $100 each night. I mean, they were crappy seats, but I'd rather see them from crappy seats than part with $1800! It boggles my mind to try and understand how people can rationalize paying those prices.

Especially for a classic rock band that has toured rather extensively for the last nearly 30 years since their first “reunion.” I’m sorry but I can’t fathom this level of demand for them at this point. I wouldn’t pay $1800 a seat to see anyone at this point. Nobody.

I want to say I paid $300 last time I saw them. Kind of middle floor in front of the soundboard.

Same. Again, I paid $350 when Christine returned, for decent seats, but I'll never pay even that for anyone again. The queen is gone. I wouldn't pay more than $100 to see them now, even if Lindsey came back(AND I DON'T WANT HIM TO COME BACK). It's over. Stick a fork in it, Mick.

I saw the Eagles in '02/'03 on their FIRST Farewell Tour :] We had 75.00 nosebleed seats and moved down to the lower bowl because there were large blocks of empty seats that were unsold. It was a great show, but never had the urge to see them again since. Beyond them performing Hotel California as a whole, they've largely done the same show for decades.

Joe Walsh was the only one that appeared to not be on complete auto-pilot. The rest of the band was as robotic as it could get. I saw a clip on youtube a few years ago of them performing Hotel California and it seemed like the tempo had really slowed down.

That first Farewell tour was the first time I saw them. I’ve seen them many times since on almost every tour except the History of the Eagles tour and this current one. I saw the Hotel California show in early 2022 I think and that will be my last show. They still put a good show on but it is auto pilot and it’s just the same crap over and over. Even Henley who at one point was dropping seemingly half of his solo material into the set is basically only doing Boys of Summer now. Vince Gill and Deacon work but there’s just nothing to see that I haven’t seen anymore. The only way they’d have gotten me to go this time was adding Felder back and that literally would take hell freezing over.

Don’s voice has really gotten noticeably worse over the last few years. When I saw them last he mentioned he was sick and his speaking voice sounded horrible that night. His singing was still good but certainly much more limited than he used to be. The trade offs of being able to age…

I've got a live DVD of Christchurch NZ. The weather was HORRIBLE(the crowd is hunkered under ponchos, and the rain never let up), and Don struggled the entire night, with Timothy even doubling his parts in some places, trying to help him out(Boys of Summer in particular - Don wasn't even getting close).

Hey, he's 76, what can we expect? I'd say he's doing pretty good for 76.

I really thought when Glenn died, that they'd bring Felder back. I've always believed the major rift was between Glenn and Felder. Don tried to hire him for his first solo band, for god's sake! Felder(per his book) didn't think he was being offered enough money. I think it was either 5k a week, or 5k a show(I don't remember now). But I've always thought that Felder SMOKED Joe. His solos are 10 times more interesting!!

Here is the million dollar question.
I definitely would not pay any of these prices to see Stevie or the Eagles. Would you pay $1800 if you could go back in time and get good seats for the Rumours, Tusk or Mirage concert?
I would! And I think it would be worth every penny.
