When Usenet began dying out, David talked me(you can all blame him!) into coming to the Ledge. I ~only~ lurked for a couple of years, because everyone seemed so mean here. Then I learned that you just have to pull up your panties and jump in!

I was firmly jaded and cynical by my mid-30s. Then I became a roadie for you know who. I’m planning on getting back into social work later this year. Weirdly, becoming jaded and cynical made me more effective.
