The star-studded 2018 iHeartRadio Music Festival lineup just got even bigger.

Fleetwood Mac will join the main stage bill, marking the first time the group will play together as a new band since Lindsey Buckingham's exit in April.

“It is an honor to be performing at the iHeartRadio Music Festival for our very first time,” Stevie Nicks said in a statement. “The beauty of an event like this is that it is a true representation of the power of radio. It’s an opportunity for artists across all genres to share one stage and what we all love most -- music!”

The two-day event, hosted by Ryan Seacrest, also includes previously announced performers Justin Timberlake, Carrie Underwood, Mariah Carey, Imagine Dragons, Jason Aldean, Sam Smith, Luke Bryan, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Panic! at the Disco, Kelly Clarkson, Shawn Mendes, Kygo, Rae Sremmurd and Logic.

The iHeartRadio Music Festival will take place September 21 and 22. at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and will broadcast live on iHeartMedia radio stations across the United States. The CW Network will also exclusively live-stream both nights of the festival via CWTV.com and The CW App.

Nice! Glad this is being professionally filmed and mixed. I doubt I'll be able to go see this tour at all since I can't justify paying those ridiculous ticket prices to get even a somewhat decent seat.

Now I can sit and watch (for free) whatever good or bad comes from this 😁 couldn't be happier.

She really is stuck in a moment in time. That time being 1970s. It’s like she’s totally unaware of anything that’s happened in the music industry since. She still thinks Of album sales in the Millions and that’s radio is relevant at all? Radio is a clusterfrak of Impotance and Diet pill commercials that plays the same 20 songs in constant rotation. XM radio is the closest thing we have to the radio of yesteryear. At least iHeart Radio plays old Casey’s American Top 40 To remind of a of a time radio had variety

I thought Glastonbury wasn't happening this year. So how could FM headline a concert that isn't happening?

Imagine Dragons, Carrie Underwood, Justin Timberlake, Sam Smith, Jack White- yeah, what an embarrassing lineup

This is a brilliant move on their part, to introduce the new lineup to the public a week or two before the tour starts.

In the past, bwboy, in the past.
Organizators tried to book them for years, but FM was just too expensive.
In 2018, neither Glastonbury, nor FM are happening.

If FM made this move to make themselves look old,
then it was brilliant on their part. Were any of those
artist even born before Rumours came out? Okay,
Jack was maybe two years old.

For me, it doesn't matter whether anyone else on the lineup was born when Rumours came out. And the best way to get new fans is to appear with contemporaries or other acts who are popular. If someone sees Harry Styles gushing about FM or singing the Chain, they may check it out and become a fan themselves. Same thing when the Chain was featured in the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel- it exposed people, many whom weren't alive when Rumours came out, to their music.

Isn't that a good thing?

They are one of Michael Eavis' (Glastonbury founder/organiser) favourite bands and he's tried to get them to appear many times. They had a big chance to do Glasto in 2015 but chose the bigger payday from the Isle of Wight festival (stupid move- short term profit over long term profit and legacy).

Some people seem to think they are nailed on for next year. Certainly there's a good chance the US tour will wrap up by then and they'll come over to Europe. I'm very doubtful. Anyway, I'd be so frustrated the UK festival goers had so many chances to be blown away by the Rumours band over the past 15 years and they'll get a pale shadow of that now if they ever played.

I agree totally. Such a shame to choose higher profit over smaller profit and legacy. Glastonbury is the number one festival to want to have on your CV. And you would only need to play a two hour set when headlining the Pyramid stage...

It's totally understandable to be upset and p*ssed off, but it's going on and on and on and on......and on...and on... And I realise it won't stop, but that doesn't prevent me from wanting to, and being free to, comment on it.

The Rumours line-up to which this forum is devoted is DEAD forever.

So the only thing to do on here is complain/mourn/conjecture, comment on the news that may come out pertaining to why it's dead FOREVER, or reminisce about what was but NEVER will be again.

We will never be able to talk about new music or new tours or new shows on this forum EVER again.

The Rumours line-up is DEAD. FOREVER.

With new music from Lindsey, hopefully we will move on to having a reason to move to the Lindsey forum and be more positive.

And even with new music and shows with the new line-up, we can move to the Post-Rumours section to commentate and may not be all doom and gloom. Even with this band, I look forward to hearing new Stevie and Christine compositions, so I'm not predisposed to hate. Even though they will create meaning in one undeniable context: THE RUMOURS LINE-UP IS DEAD.

FOREVER.

You know, Lindsey was never my favorite member, in 40 freaking years.

But he is now.

After Christine left, and he really stepped up to the plate, and showed everyone that he owned the stage, my respect really grew for him.

And then after he and Christine put out that WONDERFUL album last year, he was neck and neck with my (once) beloved Christine.

And then they pull this SH*T on him. He's now my favorite, hands down. And the only one who I'll be supporting with my money. #teamLindsey

I agree the Rumours line-up is dead, and there is understandable mourning over that.

Others posters are saying the band is dead, but it's not, and we are not all depressed about the change. Some of us are trying our best to appreciate how upset some fans are, whilst at the same time having an interest in the future of the band.

For me, this is the last time that FM did or will do something that interests or moves me. It's not a positive thing, but I enjoy this board and my prolonged goodbye to the band I so loved for 40 years. Let me have my farewell, I deserve it. It's my right to write like I feel, on this board for the five fireflies.

I do look forward, too, though. Yeah to all the money that I will not spend for first row tickets and stuff. The anticipation of Schadenfreude when the first concerts get reviewed, the idea that factions of the band will not make the money they crave or have the success they are used to. Maybe some inner band trouble.

I will love to read about it. Petty, i know, but it fits with that band.

It is definitely your right to post how you feel. For me, it's very repetitive, but it is definitely your right. I feel like, and honestly, please correct me if I'm wrong, but some people who repeatedly post comments like "this isn't FM anymore, I hope the tour bombs, it's funny people paid top dollar for tickets and then the price dropped ha ha, etc" it comes across like "my party was ruined and now I'm going to ruin yours," or "I'm miserable and I want everybody else to be just as miserable as I am."

Instead of telling people they should post in the post-Rumours forum, maybe people who are so angry about Lindsey's firing should post only in the LB forum. Not really how I feel, but same difference. Obviously, neither one is going to happen.

I think Mick subscribes to the old Hollywood adage, “there is no such thing as bad publicity.” As revolting as it is, he keeps stirring the pot to get the Fleetwood Mac name out there. He is correct in that the casual fan is familiar with the brand/band name, and not so much the individual members. That “say or do anything” to sell tickets is seen by some as “good business.” To others, like me, it comes acrosss as completely selfish, putting money ahead of admirable characteristics such as friendship and loyalty.

MoonSister - at this point these negative Lindsey Ledgers won't be happy no matter how great the new lineup sounds in concert or in studio material. Rather than talking sense, they feel like it's only natural to inflict their private universe of pain on us all. To them, the new lineup feels like nails in their feet looking in the Saturday sun. This lineup could put out a Rumours quality album and they'd still complain that there are four seasons in one day. Anger, unfortunately, is playing a big part in how they feel and act. Oh well as they say. I really respect that you're maintaining a love this life attitude and trying to whistle all this great music no matter what era we're in. I won't dream it's over. Things will never be the same as history never repeats, but I'm looking forward to seeing this band come back to life this October. I am trying to embrace the Finn-Campbell era and trying to enjoy every bite of chocolate cake as we approach the last day of June.

Mouse, darling. Grieving processes cannot be denied. As I have this notion that you may be an adult, I am certain you have a base knowledge at least of the steps of grieving.

I wish you to never be in a situation in your life where you feel a loss sharply and the people around you are in your face all the time, insisting you:

"MOVE ON! Quit feeling your natural feelings! Some of us here, the GOOD ones obviously, not the wimps and whiners like you, don't like it! So! Hurry up and move on!!"

Although there is such a thing as Karma, of course.

Lay off, mouse. You are starting to come across as an insufferable being. Surely that is not your goal.

While it's not the same thing, the attitude reminds me of those people who think you shouldn't express grief when your pet dies because he's "just an animal." "Why are you crying? It's not like a PERSON died."

Let people feel how they feel.

What a lovely description, thanks so much :) Maybe you need to think about the tone of your own posts.

If you tell someone not to post in a forum, don't expect them not to reply to you

Try some mudita instead of your Schadenfreude.

Believe it or not (and you don't seem to) I was genuinely wishing EVERYONE in here a good weekend.

I'm off to the circus soon, have a good day.
The thing is, I don't care. At all.
But please go and look up "Schadenfreude" since you have obviously no idea what that word stands for.

Thanks for the reply :) It's a particularly difficult time in this forum right now, with fans who are angry and/or upset, and other fans intrigued by the new line-up. Not an easy space to share.

The thing is, I don't care. At all.

I know exactly what it means and mudita is it's opposite - joy from the happiness of others, rather than gaining pleasure from the suffering of others.

I'm sure it was a post of yours recently (I could be wrong) which suggested we all needed to be more direct in how we communicate with each other, and not hold back, or not be passive-aggressive, or something to that effect. I'm just trying to follow your advice :)

And yet you prove my point. People here suffer, and some chiffonhead trolls around trying to preach fake happiness. That is Schadenfreude and not the opposite.

So, since you ask for it, I'll be direct. Stop being such a pest or try it elsewhere.

I'm not sure why you are determined to be so nasty towards me, just for having a different point of view to you. But it's fine, whatever.

There isn't much I can do about that, and you clearly have got the wrong end of the stick with regards to my posts. I'm not even sure what you are going on about with the fake happiness. I was just pointing out that there are a different range of emotions on here concerning the changes in the band. And it's important that we all feel free to post our different feelings.

All the "get over it, just stop talking about it" etc posts are so silly. This website and this particular forum has been people raving about the Rumors lineup, talking about them, etc for YEARS. Years of devotion and discussion on that particular, much beloved lineup. People have every right to be bitter and angry about the fact that that lineup not only is now dead, but was basically shot in the face by the members themselves.

There are SO many places where people are excited and raving about the 'new band'. If you want to get away from all the "negativity" here you can very easily go to those places to join their discussion. It is not that hard. This is VERY far from the only place on the internet where people talk about FM. Responding to supposed "negativity" with even more negativity and thus only pouring fuel onto the fire is a pretty silly thing to do and it shows that you probably don't mind the negativity all that much since you're thus helping contribute to it. If you don't like something you can very easily just ignore it and join in on discussions that you would like, of which there are many.

This is a rant.
Well, I'm a ledgy for life. I'm here since 2003 and I am as negative as I want here, because this is my Fleetwood Mac living room. Where else can I be myself if not here? I also shared my exitement about FM, the tours, the music, the personalities, everything - with everyone here.

I thought age, illness or the death of one member would be the end of the band, but now it turns out, it is simply greed. Not that I wish any member of the band something bad in their personal life, but this is just so godawful lame, it makes me question my involvement with this band. This greedy MFs do not deserve my loyalty, did they ever? So I'm ending the long and certainly interesting roller-coaster-ride of being a FM fan and I'll do that here, too.

I have never been a fan of Lindsey, his music is not for me, neither is his personality, but I came to respect him a great deal, he gave alot for this band and has been the sole power who made the band happen for decades. The point that makes me so angry is the absolute lack of respect, the denial of Lindseys importance, his hard work, creativity, talent and energy, the attempt to extinguish his archivements. I can't deal with backstabbers, liars, opportunists or people who just stand by and let them do their **** (yes, Christine, what about some solidarity?). My expectations regarding the characters of the current bandmembers have been brutally undercut, and since Neil and Mike joined this rotting corpse of integrity, they can't be better. So - what is left of the band? Not even ruins, just debris. That's all.

And I'm complaining about it right here, in my FM living room.
Rant over.

I feel for your grief and wish that you all have the time and space to heal properly. Part of the grieving process will undoubtedly be to begin to see the role that Lindsey played in this process. I'm sure that Stevie and Mick have some faults, but it's extremely unlikely that the firing had nothing to do with Lindsey's actions. A loss like this is almost always a two way street with fault on both sides. I also hope that you all stop using your grief as justification for attacking the other members of the band and members of this forum who simply want to enjoy the music (both old and new) without the venomous language so rampant on this site.

The two-day event, hosted by Ryan Seacrest, also includes previously announced performers Justin Timberlake, Carrie Underwood, Mariah Carey, Imagine Dragons, Jason Aldean, Sam Smith, Luke Bryan, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Panic! at the Disco, Kelly Clarkson, Shawn Mendes, Kygo, Rae Sremmurd and Logic.
Fleetwood Mac couldn't possibly headline such a lineup. They're playing on the main stage, but they're likely to play ahead of JT, MC, and others. It's a comedown from those big festivals last year on both coasts.

Lynyrd Skynyrd? Didn't they all go down in a plane? And where is DNCE on this bill? And why are country acts mixed in with trendy pop youth acts?

I thought this too. It's not that it's a bad lineup, it's just quite an odd mix. And then to throw the 70 year olds of Fleetwood Mac into it makes it even odder.

Getting more than eight Finn song titles into a paragraph IS quite an achievement....but sadly you are wasting your time trying to be comical as either no one on this board would know these songs anyway (or at least won't now as you have put people off Finn for life)..... Or no one has commented on it as they have blocked you already and didn't see the comment in the first place....just saying

These five folks are so caught up in their anger and resentment from misplaced "grief" rooted in a misunderstanding of what happened that they would hate Lennon/McCartney if I mentioned them a couple of times. With all due respect, their disinterest in all things Finn has little to do with me or his music. Sad to watch.

Thanks for attempting to get this train back on the tracks, FB. I apologize for my part in its derailment!

I think the band's management weighed the virtues of coming down from being a headliner for an audience that consists of baby boomers to being a "lesser" act for a younger audience, and decided the latter was acceptable in order to expose the band to a different demographic.

ETA: I just had another thought - perhaps they believe the younger demographic will be more accepting of the change?

And there's no need to make people who choose to leave the site into martyrs. It's their choice usually because they just aren't interested in the discussion anymore, very few have actually left because they were being attacked by anyone. That user who just left recently and posted about it is one of them, no one was attacking them at all. I didn't see a single person attack them or their posts, if they didn't like the discussion anymore that's their choice. The only user I saw actually personally attacking people was Gldstwmn who went overboard in her Stevie defense (attacked Elle and said that because of some dude in her sig pic that she likes domestic abuse) and was suspended for a while because of it and then came back saying she wasn't going to post anymore but is still posting so.

I just did a quick search and found this gem (below) that you wrote where you called Mick Fleetwood a "whore."

You calling a member of Fleetwood Mac a "whore" is a perfect example of the heinous behavior going on here. Did you post that?

===============================

Noun:
1.2 A person who is regarded as willing to do anything to get a particular thing.
‘he's a shameless publicity whore’
‘you come across as a complete attention whore’

Verb:
1.2 Debase oneself by doing something for unworthy motives, typically to make money.
‘he had never whored after money’

I'd say both terms fairly apply to MF.

Yes. You are the five self-absorbed supposed Fleetwood Mac fans who enjoy spreading your victim-laced, "grief-laded" emotional pain on those who dare to cross your path. The truth is you're not true Fleetwood Mac fans. You're Lindsey fans masquerading as Mac fans. And you're cowards afraid of admitting what you're about and preferring to simply attack those who challenge your world view. In the real world, we call these people insecure bullies. On this forum, they're the Five Narcissistic Fireflies of Lindsey's Ledge.

And you're calling other members here self-absorbed narcissists. Find me someone else here doing that, before you get on your high horse.

Maybe try to limit your posts here to maybe 5 a day? Would definitely go a long way to solving the problem.

I am glad you finally admit it. It was just so nice and positive of you to point this out. Even if the ego maniac was there, they would still be playing before all these acts. Stop acting innocent because you are NOT! And everyone here knows it.

Well, "whore" certainly qualifies as an expletive. That point is only debated on this forum. Most in the civilized world consider "whore" very much of an expletive. Here is a BBC article that lists "whore" as a universally accepted expletive.

I'm well aware of what's going on. People leaving because they no longer like what's being said by some is THEIR own choice. They're not being personally affected or attacked by other users. They just don't like it anymore so they choose to leave (and that's their right, I've even said that there are many other places to discuss FM for those who don't like it here anymore) but there's no need to make them into martyrs for it. You haven't been posting on this place for very long at all and I'm assuming that you haven't been reading it for long either because if you have you'd know that Stevie and Mick are far, FAR from the only band members who have been criticized or "bullied" by posters. In fact in the grand scheme of things the most criticized member of the band was probably Lindsey himself. This place is for the purpose of discussing Fleetwood Mac and criticism of band members is going to come with that. This board has never been a 'Lindsey Ledge' (if anything the closest it's ever been to being mostly about one member is about Stevie) and if you looked through old threads you'd see that. And yet most Lindsey fans and no one really left the site because of it. It's only recently that there's been heavy criticism of Stevie and Mick and deservedly so giving the shocking turn of events in the band. Half the people you've accused of being Lindsey fans 'masquerading' are actually quite far from that. And yes there have been many childish posts but if you focus on those posts only you miss out on some very legitimate criticism and compelling discussion. And frankly your repetitive posts calling the board a Lindsey Ledge over and over again and insisting that everyone is just a Lindsey fan in disguise hellbent on making Stevie and Mick into evil villains are just as childish and close-minded.

Fuzzy Plum was insulting Mick Fleetwood, true. I can understand why you would be unhappy with that.

However, he was not using "whore" in its sexualized sense, as you can see from the definitions which he quoted. Therefore, it is hard to understand the level of offense you are taking.

As a communications teacher, surely you understand the difference between the figurative use of whore and its literal use. One is considered more socially acceptable than the other, at least in the United States. I realize you are not American, so it might a be a cultural difference.

Again, it is not nice to insult people, so no argument there.

However, at least in America, calling someone a "publicity whore" or "attention whore" is not considered "really, really disturbing" by most.

Perhaps this will help you understand why many do not consider Fuzzy Plum to be a vulgar poster, especially since this is apparently the only example of strong language we have.

Attention-whore comes to mind. It's used very often, in literature even. Money-whore is on a par with it. It's lending oneself to silly or maybe even unsavory practices to get what one wants. How that's offensive to you I simply do not grasp. How it is so unphatomable to you to see the word used in context with MF's practices over the years, I also do not grasp.
Be that as it may, I also have a strong sense of deja vu, I wrote a post to this effect days ago-- or was it weeks, life flies by, and am not sure why we are revisiting this old debate.

If the word whore offends you I am not surprised you are on this forum with us and not elsewhere on the interwebs, as this place is very tame and polite compared to it!

Just wish you'd let us be more though. Please? With a cherry on top? Go to the Stevie and mick and finn forums?

Sugar Mouse, may I be so intrusive but to ask where you are from?

As I am not from the US and understand this definition clearly....calling a female a whore for her sexual practises, as has been sadly done in the past on here, I find very offensive and rightly so...however a money whore or attention whore describing Mick for example, to me is not at all as I agree with the Dictionary definition. It entirely depends on whether it is a sexually based comment or not I believe.

Actually Fleetwood Mac is my favorite band and I would never call one of the band members a financial "whore".

It's so disrespectful to call an original member of our beloved band such a name.

You know what? Mick has done so much good for this band over the years and I find it offensive that you and other call him such horrible names.

I am incredibly thankful to Mick Fleetwood for steering the ship for about 50 years of incredible music.

Without Mick Fleetwood, there would be no Danny Kirwan songs in Fleetwood Mac.

Without Mick Fleetwood, there would be no Christine McVie songs in Fleetwood Mac.

Without Mick Fleetwood, there would be no Bob Welch songs in Fleetwood Mac.

Without Mick Fleetwood, there would be no Lindsey Buckingham songs in Fleetwood Mac. If you want to get specific, without Mick Fleetwood, Lindsey's career probably would have fizzled out and he would have most likely abandoned his music career like so many other talented musicians have done.

Without Mick Fleetwood, there would be no Stevie Nicks songs in Fleetwood Mac. If you want to get specific, Stevie Nicks may have returned home and abandoned her music career had it not been for Mick Fleetwood.

Thank you Mick for recruiting Danny Kirwan .

Thank you Mick for recruiting Christine Perfect to join the band.

Thank you Mick for recruiting Bob Welch to join when the band desperately needed a steady hand to transition between era's.

Thank you Mick for finding and recruiting Lindsey/Stevie to join the band and usher in a period that yielded so many classic albums.

Thank you Mick for all you have done for this band that we love ...

Imma play Devil's Advocate here a moment and pose this:

What all greatness might not have happened if Mick Fleetwood had not stood in all these people's way?

Where might those individuals not have gone, what wonderful great things might they have accomplished? Maybe Danny Kirwan would have been happy and a nice married grandpa, instead of in his grave, for instance. Musically too, what might not have transpired had Mick not been around to pull people to him for his financial gain. Because let's face it, that's why he invited people to HIS band, selfishly: to make it good and make a ton of money.

Just saying. But we'll never know of course. However, the logic's as plausible as the one you are availing yourself of there, mouse.

But... what he has done now... I cannot respect it. I certainly cannot thank him for it.

The thread has reminded me of the website Mick Fleetwood operated many years ago. Anyone remember it? There was a forum, as I recall, run by a guy whom webbies took to calling "Toad." Was his name Jonathan Something-That-Rhymes-With-Toad? Or Todd? He seemed hellbent on convincing everyone how sweet and ethical a guy Mick was.

We were all really excited at first and jammed the place with chatter. But something started smelling after about a month or two—the admin began acting like a dick, appointing a small group of sycophants as his police cadre, who of course proceeded to ban strong-minded individuals right and left (because what else does a fan forum do but ban fans who don't fit the mold?). Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely should be the motto of every failed Fleetwood Mac web forum. Anyway, this place died out after about a year. There was even a meet and greet with Mick — exorbitantly priced and pushed on fans relentlessly. Forum goers finally got the idea that maybe the caring and sharing and chitchat weren't really the purpose of this site after all; maybe they were being used as customers bordering on bunco victims. Many forum users complained about the cost or the chintziness of the product . . . BAM they were out. Other fans defended them . . . BAM they were out. The more timid fans admitted that, yes, Mick could be a greedy bastard sometimes . . . BAM they were out too.

The site was insufferably puritanical and self-righteous, a lot like the Nicks Fix under John Kinney (who once kick-banned me out of a chat for discussing great James Bond villainesses—I mentioned Pussy Galore).

Yes! I remember this! I remember Jonathan Todd! The botched running of the message board was the least of his sins.

I also remember the username of the principal moderator: Trinity. IIRC, he wasn't employed by Mick Fleetwood, but a fan who had been "promoted" - and boy, did it go to his head! He banned folks left and right!

I love Mick, I’m not convinced he was completely in the wrong without knowing what went down, and even I think he’s a money whore. And, I don’t necessarily think that’s a flaw. By his own admission, he was always coming up with schemes to make money, even before he was a professional musician.

Tons of people, Sugar Daddy?
There aren't tons of people on "The Ledge" anymore.
This is a very out-dated forum which most people do not bother with any longer.
Facebook, Twitter are just two examples of where the majority of fans of bands and actors now utilize.
The Ledge has become a small, niche forum which hardly represents the majority of fan opinions.
Without an ad-blocker in your browser, these forums are filled with spam and advertisements.
You are wasting your time with all your excessive postings in some kind of quest to right the wrongs of a few people.
Why do you care? Nobody else does. You must have an empty, bored life with an extreme amount of time on your hands.
But go ahead, keep posting. You aren't going to change anything or impact much, besides getting a few people to block your username.
Nobody cares.
I get tired of all the negativity here, but at the end of the day, I honestly could care less of what people say on an anciently out-dated internet fan forum where very few people post. I read the threads that I find interesting. And I've met a few cool people to exchange messages with here. You truly are far more annoying than nails on a chalk board.

apparently some people's tactic is to diminish and minimize the number of people who disagree with their premise. even though it is apparent the majority of people here disagree. for starters, 48 people voted LB as their new favorite FM member; last time i checked 48 does not equal 5, but i'm sure it does in some people's world :blob2:. while Sugar Mick's vote for himself is one of the 3 votes last time i checked.

As someone who has been on this board for over a decade and has lurked for a lot longer, people's opinions here do not bother me as they are entitled to them whatever they may be whether it's praising or criticism. Name calling doesn't bother me either as it's just an expressive way of airing out emotions. It's not like they are threats of violence so what does it matter?

Anyway, criticism is a good thing. Too much ass kissing and places become almost too controlling and people can't express themselves honestly so what's the point in posting at all? Everyone is fallible, even the enchanting Miss Nicks and the animal Mr. Fleetwood. They are not above criticism. I literally posted the following on the Ivory Keys facebook page and got my comment deleted; "Uh look, I admire Mick as much as the next guy but saying they have to say creative when he had no problems with cash grab Hits tours for the past decade? Little hypocritical, don't ya think?"

And let's not even get into the fan club debacle that Mick and Jonathan Todd cooked up. It was marketed as the most interactive tour they will have ever had done, mick was going to make behind the scenes videos every week and all this talk. Membership included tix in the first so many rows.

Long story short...they took peoples cash and didn't deliver half of what they said they were going to deliver. Fan Club seats were in the back of the house...there may have been one or two videos posted at the onset of the tour and it was radio silence after that. It was so bad, fans were showing up wearing t-shirts and signs calling out both Mick and this Todd dude over the whole debacle.

Side note: two years or so somebody purchased a storage locker at auction and it must of belonged to either Todd or somebody in Micks camp because it was loaded with Mick Fleetwood wine related items, stacks of the DVD-Audio version of Say You Will, drum heads, drum sticks, posters for his costco cash grab appearances that nobody attended, all Mick related items.

I forgot to add - for anyone wondering why people may feel the way they feel and may come across as bitter as they are....this crap with Mick and his BS has been ongoing for YEARS. And I can only say I've been a fan since '97.

A lot of the bad feelings here are not just because of the most recent events, but because this is the icing on the sh*t cake that has been in process for the better part of 15 years and they've really outdone themselves this time.

It used to be more concentrated to just Mick and his sketchy business ventures, but it's clearly spilled over into other band decisions.

Mick will be the first person to send folks packing and the first person to invite them back when it's convenient for his wallet.

I agree with all this- I’ve been a fan since ‘93. What a parade of squandered opportunities. I especially agree that if this latest Mac iteration doesn’t go over too well financially, Mick will be the first to call Lindsey up. Which I firmly believe will happen. And for those who think this band is over after this tour, I don’t believe that for a second. As long as Mick lives and breathes, he’ll keep the band touring... regardless of who’s in it. His energy is only second to Lindsey’s... I wouldn’t count him out for many years to come!

If you don't like the way things are here, I believe your options are only two: stay or go.

Projecting. :wavey:

But why would anyone take those folks seriously? /sarcasm. You're right on the money and for that you win the opportunity to get booted. It's a bit like tilting at windmills any more around here. I'm sure one of the seven deadly sins are involved but I don't give enough of a f#ck to try and think about it more than that. Now cue the chorus, there is no problem: Llalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalala.

The Ivory Keys group is....something lol. The guy who runs that place is a bit too hardcore when it comes to Stevie.

Actually he doesn't run it anymore because he got tired of nasty people harassing the daylights out of him and having all of his blog posts (containing rare music files) deleted. Hence the rule that only positive things be said. It's not a bad thing and was an especially good place to hang out during the Lindsey debacle.

I know the music files would get taken down but the rest is quite far from what I've heard. I heard of so many people-- all Stevie fans btw-- who said they got warnings and comments deleted if they would make simple remarks like that Stevie's hair looked kinda frizzy in a certain picture. And some people had their separate Twitter accounts stalked and kicked out of the group if they people in charge didn't like what they posted on their Twitter-- separate from the FB group. When I'd ask about it a lot of people would just tell me that the guy in charge can be really aggressive when it comes to "defending" Stevie and polices the place too hard.

I really enjoy Ivory Keys overall, and was quite grateful for the files, but even I got banned briefly - not for disparaging Stevie - for disparaging Joe Walsh! Turns out the guy ships Stevie and Joe hardcore. Luckily the other admin, who is a friend, pled my case and I was reinstated. That was a while back, though.

I heard about that too. Even though Joe basically wanted nothing to do with her besides a "road f*ck" and said awful, cruel things about her. Even sober he was so dismissive of her and their relationship. Strange.

Wow. It's not hard to disparage Joe for his previous antics. I still haven't read the groupie book because I actually like Joe and don't know if I really want/need to know all of that. I will say that the woman he is married to now, Marjorie Bach seems like a very classy woman. I wondered if Ringo introduced them since Ringo is married to her sister Barbara. Joe has come a long way I think.
Anyway I don't know if he shipped Joe and Stevie that hard until he discovered the Priest of Nothing demo.

I listened to that Howard Stern interview (if that's what you're referring to). I don't think he was so much dismissive as not wanting to talk about it because he felt it might be disrespectful to his wife. I remember he began a few of his responses with "Well my wife..." He did acknowledge that Stevie was special and that they were both so whacked out on coke that they had to seperate. I wonder if his responses are colored by the fact that he truly can't remember that much. :o

I think he cleaned up his act (on Howard Stern when he was sober and still dismissive of her he acknowledged she was someone he had apologized to during his 12 steps) but it's so odd to me how people can "ship" that relationship when it's pretty obvious (to me at least) that he didn't care for her too much and she was at the time extremely, extremely drug addicted which no doubt in my mind really impacted her personality/behavior. I think Stevie is one of those people who 'feels' the most about her most toxic relationships. Which helps her write good songs but imo that's not how love should be.

There was that and another interview (but print only) from a little bit afterwards where he was asked about their relationship and he said he was flattered by her comments and then just said that it was a drug fueled rock n roll romance that came and ran its course as it should have. To me that, coupled with all the other things he's said, seems like he just doesn't think of the relationship they had as this big love affair, even though she does.

Oh wow lol. Yeah I heard a lot of stuff like that too, people would get in trouble if they said things he disagreed with or made little comments like "Her voice sounds a little off here" or "Not a fan of that hair on her" etc. Because I guess Stevie can't possibly ever sound off or have bad hair lol. And other weird stuff. And he apparently only mildly tolerated the other band members and haaaated Lindsey excessively.

So was this the Bise guy? He and I guess a friend of his wrote three or four good fanzines called Mirror Mirror in the early Nineties. At the time, I remember thinking, "Wow, a literate Stevie Nicks fan." (I'm being a wicked tease.)

I believe that is his name....although is it OK to post real names on here? In the age of Facebook, I guess the idea of anonymity is a thing of the past in such cases, eh? Anyway, it is likely the same person. I did not realize he did fanzines at one point. That's impressive.
