What a very strange picture... Mike looks like a mix between the killer from Jeepers Creepers and the killer from Wolf Creek, Christine looks like Cheryl from the Evil Dead, Neil, as someone else stated, looks like Christine's older sister, Stevie looks like a high school girl whose dad is her prom date, John looks like it is painful for him to even be there, and Mick actually looks pretty good (because he is thinking about the $$). Love them all, but they should have released a much better group photo first.

The one redeeming quality this band had in recent years is at least it consisted of original members and until recently, ALL original members. Now they have made a complete jump into oldies cash grab territory.

The fact that this band has had so many evolutions really hurts them in the end because now the powers that be really don't respect the uniqueness of the '75 lineup.

Regret doing this to the person who-- like it or not, hell-raising or not-- put the most true work into the band, regret how they disrespected their devoted fanbase, and regret ruining the legacy of the legendary Rumours 5.

I think a few years down the line you're gonna hear Stevie in an interview saying how she doesn't speak to Lindsey anymore and it just breaks her heart because her relationship with him was probably the one that most changed her life. A lot like some of her sad/bitter/angry interviews during the late 80s-90s after he left the band the first time.

you know, i was thinking about that when watching that video of Lindsey describing intermingled tours while signing stuff and posing for pics all at the same time. you can see him leading a completely normal convo and then stops and makes this ultra serious face when he poses for the pic, guy tells him thank you, he relaxes back to his normal demeanor and says welcome! and just continues the conversation describing tour plans.

I’m 50-50 on that. In addition to having someone significantly more palatable for Stevie, it would really be criminal to have Neil Finn in the band and not have anything come of it.

So we'll finally get to hear what the official story on this is.

I imagine they are addressing it in an attempt to mollify any fans who are thinking Lindsey's been given the shaft. While not everyone is as outraged as the Lindsey fans who post on these boards, there are plenty of casual fans whose reaction was negative, and who can sympathize with a guy they think got a raw deal. Thus, I doubt Lindsey will be trashed or "thrown under the bus" in that sense - they don't want to make Lindsey's fans hate them even more. They want to be the nice guys. They already wished him "all the best" in the first announcement, after all.

I think Stevie especially will speak highly of Lindsey to dispel rumors that she wanted him out because she hates him. She may even bring up their history.

Most importantly, I think they will try to soften the idea that they fired him and present it as a mutual decision, one that will benefit all parties involved - including Lindsey, who will now be able to happily pursue his artistic vision.

When it comes to the juicy stuff... what caused the disagreement... I don't think we'll get a lot of details on that. Something along the lines of "disagreement about the tour scheduling, so we had to replace him with people who were available to tour" or something like that. I can't imagine they're going to go into depth on that. What would really shock me is if we get something out of left field that's nothing like what's been going around. Now that would be something!

If Lindsey has agreed to keep quiet, he won't contradict anything.

Lopsided, yep. And why are Mick, John, Stevie and Mike clumped together--cause this was the group that voted to fire LB/Mike was hired on first. Chris has only been back a few years and Neil is the newest member so they're off to the other side. Or are they trying to make Chris and Neil more of a focal point?

Stevie and Christine look pretty, IMHO. The men... well, they look as well as can be expected. One gets the feeling we're not supposed to look too closely at the bright lights. However, the composition of the photo is a bit odd. It's like Stevie is looking over and Christine and Neil and saying "Why are you two over there?" I'm not keen on it. Still, I definitely prefer it to that color one in front of the background that looks like a carpet, and where Neil looks like an old woman.

I think it's a cool photo, the photographer decided to portray the band into two distinct groups, Christine and Neil on one side and Mick, Stevie, Mike and John on the other, using Mick as a sort of the linking element; I'd say from this photo Mick is the one the emerges as the leading figure.

Is this a good pic or not? I cant quite decide. Though I quite like it I feel there is something wrong with it (apart from the obvious). It irks me that Stevie is looking to the side. Overall it just feels too lop-sided.

I think it's a cool photo, the photographer decided to portray the band into two distinct groups, Christine and Neil on one side and Mick, Stevie, Mike and John on the other, using Mick as a sort of the linking element; I'd say from this photo Mick is the one the emerges as the leading figure.

Nah, she has been looking down or to the side since publicity tour started. But Christine has gained confidence since Stevie I think has lost some.

Part of me feels a little bad for Mike?
I'm mad he agreed to take the job, but I also kind of get it. He lost his best friend and musical partner so I can imagine he was probably feeling lost as to what he would do now and then this opportunity presented itself so he took it. And I feel like a lot of people, because they always think of Stevie Nicks as being the member of Fleetwood Mac associated with the Heartbreakers, forget that Lindsey has had a great relationship with them too? They worked together, I believe I even read somewhere that Lindsey was around in the studio a lot while they recorded some of their 80s and 90s albums and that he played a little bit on some of the songs but it wasn't credited (don't know if this is true though, I just read it somewhere). Tom himself especially was always hugely complimentary of Lindsey and it seemed like they were friends. When he did a radio host thing and he got to pick the music to play, he played solo Lindsey material. He literally even asked him to join the Heartbreakers!

I believe Mike when he said Lindsey is one of his favorite musicians and that he was sad about what happened. It's probably just going to be a bit awkward for him, being stuck in the middle of this situation, especially considering Stevie's part in it and him probably knowing a bunch of the fans wish it was Lindsey and not him up there on stage.

what a sad, horrible, low person. remember when Lindsey rented a winnebago and kept it in his front yard so mick can crawl into it when he was half-homeless and too high and drunk to go home after the Tango sessions? yeah, Mick doesn't. or when Lindsey did Tango to begin with to save Mick's a** from bankruptcy? yeah Mick doesn't. or when he decided to come back to FM that became a complete laughing stock especially after Mick's performance with Samantha Fox on that one show and people were singing "i'd rather jack"? yeah Mick doesn't. the list goes on.

Yeah, he's in an awkward spot. (Neil too.) I just wish they would have disbanded. Christine and Lindsey could've done BuckVie II, Stevie could continue her solo career, Mick could do his blues and side gigs, and John could retire to his boat. Instead, we get this. :shrug: And I'm convinced they'll disband after this tour anyway, which will be the last public impression of FM. :(

I don't get it..... why they didn't just disband. Stevie, Lindsey, Christine and John don't need anymore money....stick to solo tours, BuckVie, Blues band whatever if you want to keep touring....it's only Mick who is terrible with money and at your age mate grow up and learn to stop overspending, you've probably got a few mill in the band and a restaurant surely that's enough to prevent you from starving.... You didn't need to tour, why did it have to get to the point that you would fire your musical leader....

I can't wait to see them. Lindsey is easily my favorite musician - always has been.
But put Mike Campbell on a stage with anyone and I'm there.
Really looking forward to this tour.

The only thing that tempers the disappointment is imagining so many songs with Campbell's playing. During Tom Petty's Hollywood Bowl show last year, there were people next to us who said "Wow, he sounds like he's playing the scorching solo at the end of The Chain".
