the hosts are non-threatening, but Oprah's best buddy Gayle will def be the one asking the questions about Lindsey and people saying he was fired, not "left".
Let's make bets now... My bet:
Stevie: We love Lindsey I've known Lindsey since I was 16, we all want the best for Lindsey and we're heartbroken he's not with us but you know, Fleetwood Mac has to go on and we all wish him the best in everything in life and we're gonna go on with this tour which was already booked and we know it'll be a lot of fun.
Mick: The history of FM has always been about carrying on, members come and go, and this is what we do, it's what we've always done, we pick ourselves up and we carry on.
John: ...........................
Chris: Ah, now this is where I'm not sure-- she doesn't have the same predictable script as the others.........

What if instead of John sitting there like the proverbial bump on a log, he suddenly freaked out, said he was sick of all the decades of drama, quit the band live on the air and stomped off to go have some peace and quiet on his boat? That might be some unexpected drama with your morning show coffee.

Hot Damn! Now THIS is why I check the FM Ledge message boards! Cannot wait to see this! Besides an interview with the band, we're bound to see tour rehearsal footage and get a small idea of what kind of songs they'll be performing. And I would wager tour dates will be announced that same day or within a week after this appearance.

Don’t be sure any answers will be forthcoming, not that the hosts will ask the tough questions. My assumption is four or five managers laid out a pretty tight script and dog and pony show.

Can't help but think of Pink Floyd's Money whenever I think of this band now. :(
The music pairs well with Paper Doll - just mute the sound on the Fleetwood Mac video:

And play the Pink Floyd (music runs a bit longer than the FM vid):

I agree with this. It is safer, besides, it is in keeping with what they've tended to do in the past-- have different interviewers record pieces in whatever soundstage where they are rehearsing. It saves the band a lot of running around and makes scheduling easier to just have a day or two where all the interviewers come to them rather than them going all over.
I guarantee there were managers etc standing right out of camera range ready to nip any untoward questions right in the bud.

Yes, I'm sure you're right... much the same way it was when Christine and Lindsey were interviewed by CBS last year. Or during the print interview Lindsey gave in which his agent or manager or somebody intervened when the interviewer asked why Stevie wasn't on the Buck Vie album. As you said, nipping any untoward questions right in the bud. The band members are all cut from the same cloth.
It is definitely safer for the band to do a pre-taped piece, but also more practical. The band is rehearsing and getting ready for their tour, plus unless John or Christine are specifically asked a question, they won't say a word. I imagine the same might be true of Mike, so I'm glad the interview will be pre-taped. It guarantees we'll hear something from each member.

Can't wait for the interview & coming to the Ledge to read about your takes on it.
I hope we get at least a little impression of what went down.
I mostly have been on the Stevie side of the Mac, but having played the guitar for many years, I must say Lindsey holds a special part of my heart as well. I feel like my parents got divorced and I don't know which side I shall support.

i doubt it. like people here say, it sounds like a pre-recorded interview.
but i've seen a lot of social media clamoring and telling CBS to ask hard questions.
#notgonnahappen
PS i've also heard about Heartbreakers fans wearing shirts to demonstrate what they see as a Mike Campbell sellout and backstabbing action, to both Tom's memory and to LB, yesterday at the benefit where Heartbreakers members were a house band. there were also people going around with those flyers that seem to be popping up around LA and particularly Mick and Lindsey's neighborhoods.

I stand by my prediction on another thread on here:
Stevie will say- We all love Lindsey and wish him the best; I've known him since I was 16 and we have a lot of history together and as much as it breaks my heart that he is not on this tour and i wish he was, we all do, but Fleetwood Mac must go on, we owe it to the fans, and we know it will be great Mike is a great guy and so is whats his name
Mick will say: Fleetwood Mac always carries on, we have had key players come and go before, and that's how we got Stevie and Lindsey and we don't know any other way to be as a band but to add new people and continue on
Chris might say something like-- Well, we're never boring that's for sure. I was bored sitting home in Kent all those years and I wanted more excitement, well I definitely got it! I love Lindsey and we're still friends and we will keep playing.

I also really wonder about this. Stevie and Lindsey have had their issues forever, Mick will always go with Stevie because $$$, John probably doesn't care either way and does whatever Mick says, but what about Christine? She did say that it's not like she and Lindsey get lunch together or anything but that they're still good friends and have a lot of respect for each other. Especially after doing their album and tour together SO recently, I just can't imagine how she would go along with this? Unless she did object but ultimately didn't matter because she was outvoted. But if she really did go along with it, it's such a stab in the back :(

I think it's tacky that anyone would bring Tom Petty into this. He's dead. Mike Campbell has a right to play guitar and continue to make a living. I really don't think Tom Petty would care that Mike joined Fleetwood Mac, in fact I suspect he would have a higher level of consciousness and realize that when it comes to life and death, this here is pretty petty stuff. No pun intended.

I know. I keep hoping that, too.
I was going back and looking at old quotes and I found this from 1997:
"Let's put it this way, we hardly spoke. We would get on and off the same plane without interacting at all. It's not like that now. Even if Lindsey and I were to totally fall in love again, get married, and get divorced, we would never let it go to that negative place again. We're just too wise now." ~Stevie Nicks, Microsoft Music Central Interview, 1997 (courtesy inherownwords.com (http://www.inherownwords.com/lindsey2.htm))
And more recently, in 2014's Rolling Stone (https://www.rollingstone.com/music/features/stevie-nicks-fleetwood-mac-twirling-drugs-lindsey-buckingham-20141002):
"We write about each other, we have continually written about each other, and we'll probably keep writing about each other until we're dead. That's what we have always been to each other. Together, we have been through great success, great misunderstandings, a great musical connection."

PS i've also heard about Heartbreakers fans wearing shirts to demonstrate what they see as a Mike Campbell sellout and backstabbing action, to both Tom's memory and to LB, yesterday at the benefit where Heartbreakers members were a house band.
You have got to be kidding me. How rude. Mike Campbell is just the last person who should ever be accused of selling out of anything. His best friend of 50 years dies suddenly so Mike decides he wants to go back to work again which is good for grief. One of the great unwashed accuses him of being a backstabber and sellout? What a piece of sh*t...

Shouldn't any discussion about this new band's promo, etc be put into a new sub-forum? This sub-forum is "Rumours (Mick Fleetwood, Lindsey Buckingham, John McVie, Stevie Nicks, and Christine McVie)"
Now that Lindsey is out, and two new people are in, shouldn't that be a new sub-forum?

1. Lindsey was fired, he didn't voluntarily quit the band
2. Because he was in the band for 43 years, not 5 months
3. Because he was the musical director of the band
4. Because the rest of the band (especially Mick and Stevie) kept on describing the band as "a family".
That's why many of us thought it would be more than just "a simple interview to promote the new group"
But hey, I'm more than happy they couldn't care less about Lindsey! It just confirms what we all suspected about this so-called family. As long as they don't damage his solo work with their actions I'm more than happy to not listen to Stevie talk about Lindsey ever again.

And NONE of this would have any bearing on this being a fluff promotional piece to announce tour dates and to introduce a new line-up. I would imagine there would be the most passing reference to a change being made and then they will move on to the future. That's all this morning show press will ever be. Why ever would they take the focus off moving forward? That would make NO sense in terms of promoting a new venture. I'm not making some kind of dig at Lindsey, that just makes sense from a business perspective, and that is what this is, the music BUSINESS.

When Bob Welch moved on and Stevie and Lindsey came onboard, when it came time to promote a first tour/new material, would you expect that they would have devoted much press time to Bob's time in the band? Of course not, they would want you to meet Stevie and Lindsey and start getting stoked about their possible contributions. I just can't fathom why anyone would think that this piece would be about doing anything to explain/vindicate/whatever your particular agenda is, regarding Lindsey's absence from the band.

I agree that the last thing they will want to talk about is LB and how/why he left. They will want to sell the upcoming tour and the excitement over new members, and how they are all so excited about the tour.
I would expect the interviewer however to for example, ask Mike about Tom's passing, working with Tom for so long, and how he feels moving on to work with a new group. And you can't ask him about working in a new band without acknowledging that the only reason he's able to join this new band is because one of the old members left.
The question will be how it's handled. Their PR people know they have to say SOMETHING to acknowledge the 800 pound gorilla in the room, and they will, with some very terse, well-rehearsed line, and then move on. And the PR flacks will have interrupted the reporter if he asks anything else (which of course may be edited out of the final piece). I'm guessing they will have John Blackstone interview them if it was done on site at the rehearsals. He's their go-to west coast guy for anything, and he's done interviews with Mick in LA and Maui for them (I can't recall if he did anything with BuckVie but wouldn't;'t surprise me). I would think a live interview (them in studio or them via remote) would be too risky, coz you know Gayle will for sure ask about LB.

Anthony Mason is the name of the man doing the profile and interview.
It is not uncommon for someone on the west coast to be interviewed ahead of time by a show that airs live on the east coast. Since the band is rehearsing for the tour, it would be too much hassle to fly them all in for a 12 minute live piece. But a profile taped in advance, interspersed with footage of them rehearsing, is ideal. As for a live interview being too risky, that's funny. If they want to shut a reporter down, all they have to do is say "Ask Lindsey." Notice he hasn't stepped up for any interviews, either, live or otherwise. I don't think Lindsey is afraid, and I don't think FM is afraid. But, if it makes you feel better to think that FM is afraid of Gayle King, go for it. Oh, that's right, Lindsey isn't talking because he's planning to sue, according to rumors a few posters are spreading. Well, when Lindsey officially sues FM, then I guess we'll learn more details then.

Lindsey caved. As he did here. Nobody is arguing that. However, his artistic ambitions are part of what Stevie/Mick undermine (maybe they ARE better business people than him, I don't know).
Regardless, it's equally silly to think their music GOING FORWARD is even interesting, despite two new members, when the hot story is the genius behind RUMOURS and the cause celebre of THE DANCE getting FIRED. THAT IS THE STORY any good journalist would investigate. Why did the band fire him? And how will they make up for the lack of dramatic tension Lindsey and Stevie provide in concert?
Since we are not talking about good journalists, yes, you are right, they will focus on the tour and how new players will add some fresh air blah blah talking points "the hits" and the deep cuts that fans will appreciate.

The situation as seen through the eyes of a Lindsey superfan:
Stevie and Mick are money and power hungry and have been trying for over 40 years to get him out of FM.
Lindsey only does music for the art and for his fans. He doesn't care about money at all, and money has never played a part in any decision he's ever made when it came to FM. He has also sacrificed nearly 45 years of his life to make FM what they are, and he and he alone is why FM has been successful.
Christine and John are totally innocent and have nothing to do with any of this. Christine in particular is devastated by what Stevie and Mick have done, but has no choice but to go along with it because she signed an iron clad contract that she simply can't get out of. Otherwise, she would have left when Lindsey was fired. In fact, she was planning to perform with FM AND join Lindsey on some of his his solo dates before this blew up.
The situation as seen through my eyes:
Lindsey and the band disagreed about something, words may have been said, and the band fired Lindsey and asked Mike Campbell and Neil Finn to replace him so they could continue with the tour as planned. FM Will tour and make a lot of money. Lindsey will tour and make a lot of money, and release his solo album as well. All will make a chunk of change and continue to live in mansions, go on fabulous vacations, and never have to worry about how they're going to pay an electric bill or that their 401k is going under.

Oh, Anthony Mason does great with performers. And he DOES ask the questions he knows people in the audience will want to know. He does it in a very classy way.
Gosh, I don't know whose corn flakes I p*ssed in this morning.... by golly.
Speaking not as a Lindsey "superfan", but as someone who was always a huge Stevie fan, as well as of the 5 together above all else, the difference between Lindsey and Bob Welch should be obvious. Bob wasn't a key architect in making massive, 40-million-copies sold albums. Bob wasn't part of FM as a supergroup. Bob didn't have the press/media profile LB has. That's why people may ask about Lindsey when they didn't ask about Bob. Most people, honestly, wouldn't have known who Bob was at the time. Many people do know who Lindsey is.
If anyone thinks the two new members will somehow lead to a great renaissance of new, ground breaking Mac music, as S & N did when they joined, I've got a bridge to sell you.
Yes, this will be morning tv fluff, but, for those mocking the mention of Gayle, no she's not a hard journalist, but she's very much someone with a big mouth who will ask anything, often to the chagrin of her co hosts. When you're besties with Oprah, I guess you don't have to feel self conscious about sticking to the script. That was my only point; she can be a wild card asking embarrassing questions. It doesn't bother her. She'll blurt out anything.
My bet is that Anthony Mason WILL ask them some cursory question early on. THey'll want to focus on selling, so they'll say something rehearsed, then say "but we move on, that's what we do, and we're so excited to have Mike and Neill". Who wants to take bets?

Bombaysaffires, I wasn't mocking Gayle King, I was mocking the idea that FM would be afraid of a reporter, no matter who it was. Sorry if I came across pi$$y, that wasn't my intention. I got frustrated because I was looking to see if tour dates had been announced, and I saw more rumors being floated by Lindsey superfans. I'd rather read facts than rumors. I'm glad to hear Anthony Mason has done a good job in the past. I'm not familiar with him.
I certainly don't believe Neil Finn or Mike Campbell will lead to a renaissance for FM. I don't think it was going to happen with Lindsey, either. Stevie wasn't going to record with Lindsey anymore, so new material wasn't going to happen, anyway.

That's how I see it too. Honestly, I don't think Lindsey is losing half as much sleep over this situation as some on this board are. (I don't mean that in a bad way toward members of this forum because I get that fans are upset, I can understand that this would be incredibly disappointing particularly for those who are primarily fans of Lindsey.)
But to me, this is a bunch of elderly millionaires who have marketed in drama for decades. They're all old enough to do what they want without owing me an explanation. They're also all going to be just fine. As for me, I'm simply happy they're all still alive and willing to hit the road for my entertainment (and their bank accounts  ).
I also don't expect any hard hitting journalism from tomorrow's piece. In part because that's not what the show or their entertainment pieces are about...and in part because the general public is not worked up about Lindsey's firing in the manner that segments of this fandom are. John Q. Public may look at the situation with amusement ("the Fleetwood Mac-iest thing to do..." or "Bunch of septuagenarian STILL can't get along") and be interested in what went down out of curiosity, but it's just a small but vocal segment of the internet that is outraged by this and demanding answers. Most of the people who will be watching tomorrow aren't looking for Gayle King to get up in Stevie's face demanding to know who is responsible.

I find it funny people come on to a forum that is specifically dedicated to talking about FM and all the minutiae around the band, and then are shocked, SHOCKED I tell you, that people are talking in great detail about the band!

Maybe those people should just not pop in here??
I mean, I, for example, make a simple comment that if the band were to be live on CBS it'll be fun to see if Gayle King, who has no filter and no sense of embarrassment, asks them about why they changed their configuration this late in the game and how they might trot out their well-rehearsed response.
If it's a pre-recorded segment, I am willing to bet that Anthony Mason will at least mention it. Because that's how he is as a reporter.

I don't think Lindsey makes too much money off of his solo endeavors. Not remotely as much as he makes from FM. No doubt money had a big part in keeping him touring with FM but I fully believe he REALLY wanted to make a final band album and tour behind it and he never got over that (because of Stevie) that wasn't able to happen.
I think that a part of why he likely insisted on being allowed to do his solo stuff in between FM was because his ~creative artist mind~ wouldn't be able to handle yet another year of touring with the band as basically an oldies act. He would've needed his solo outlet where he could be 'artistic' to balance it out.

I suspect a few people here are going to be very angry at how little airtime in this interview will be devoted to Lindsey, or his firing. So those people speculating/imagining what the members of FM will say about Lindsey are going to really be enraged by the interview. Well, more enraged, anyway, since nothing FM says would matter to them.
and
"Very interested to see this. I hope the interviewers ask them real questions and don’t beat around the bush about Lindsey’s absence."
and
"Given we are likely going to hear something out of them this week, I would give HUGE props to the interviewer, NDA be damned, that actually asks the question, “was there an ultimatum issues? Who ultimately made this decision?”
It seems highly unlikely that there would be anything too intense about the band's past (although I didn't know about this particular interviewer's style. Thank you for sharing that), so maybe I am wrong. Anyway, clearly some people thought there might be heavy questions asked (or in BWBoy's case that others would think so) That was all my morning show comments were about. As I said, I guess we will all find out tomorrow.

While I agree his solo tour won't make as much as the FM tour, due to smaller venue size and less expensive tickets, the profit also won't be divided 5 ways, either, so I'm sure Lindsey will profit from it, as he should.
I will be very happy when Lindsey releases his solo tour dates. I think the publicity will actually boost sales for his tour.

There is a thread on this in post-rumours forum where people can enjoy nice constructive discussion about the interview.
Instead we have bunch of people who are actually interested in this tour and interview jumping in here sowing negativity and trying to stir unnecessary arguments. Guess some people just have too much time on their hands.
LOL! This place is dying off anyway. Does it really matter what forum it’s on? In fact, is there really enough activity to warrant Early Years/Rumours/Post anymore? Do we really need a Peter Green forum these days?
And, how is it any different than when we were talking on this forum about LBCM? It’s the same percentage of the Rumours band, at least as far as the album is concerned. It was even less appropriate, using this standard, to talk about the tour on this section. Didn’t stop any of us.

because people who should be hopping and happily discussing new tour dates feel entitled to come here a sh*t on people mourning what was lost . telling the people mourning and basically having a group therapy they should just shut up and get a life and that arguing and fighting bothers them oh so much.

Okay, but the apparently jilted member of the band also has his own forum. Seems like that’s just as valid a place to mourn what happened to him.
Compartmentalizing a rock band like that, in the grand scheme of life, seems like a colossal waste of thought, energy, and emotion.
And, there are four other people from that band who are still there, which means it’s still relevant here. Just as it was relevant last year when we posted in here when it only involved two members of that particular lineup.

I think that a part of why he likely insisted on being allowed to do his solo stuff in between FM was because his ~creative artist mind~ wouldn't be able to handle yet another year of touring with the band as basically an oldies act. He would've needed his solo outlet where he could be 'artistic' to balance it out.
And the fans REALLY wanted a final album! After seeing that picture and the tour promo video.......there are no words.

If an indie band like Guided by Voices, who never had a hit, who are on their own label, and who are not remotely close to being multi-millionaires can successfully go out on tour, there is absolutely no reason why Lindsey Buckingham can’t do it.
Lindsey has the name, was a key part of a legendary band, has the hits, and has the money. If Lindsey really wants to do it, he have might possibly have to reconsider his approach if money is that big an issue, but there’s really nothing stopping him.

yup. and while indie bands probably all live really cheaply and split costs and revenues, i also see bands like Bush extensively touring while having cheap tix in smaller venues and still making money. they do sell about 50 $200+ m&g per show though so i figure that's where they actually make some money. but they are definitely making money!
Lindsey only made money on a single one of his solo tours - OMS.
BuckVie tour also made money, but that doesn't count as LB solo.
all the other solo tours he was losing money. i suspect he may have been paying the guys in the band FM-level and traveled more in FM style, because i have no idea why otherwise he wouldn't have. OMS was just him and a couple of guys, had even smaller venues, and made money.

5 or smaller combinations of the 5 go here. BuckVie was really 4 out of 5. same as SYW.
once you replace members and add additional people who are not classic 5, you're outta here! we have not 1 but 2 additional guys to replace Linds. so out they go!

When I was a roadie for GbV, we traveled in a 15 passenger van and a four passenger mini-van and stayed in moderate to hip upscale hotels (depending on city), two to three to a room. I usually slept on an air mattress (which meant I had the most consistent sleep). Five guys in the band, three roadies (drinking buddies), a tour manager, and Bob’s wife. Today, (new lineup), the drummer is the tour manager, Bob’s wife doesn’t tour, the entourage is just the five guys and a sound engineer/roadie, and they just travel in a 15 passenger van.
It’s actually very easy to do a tour and do so in a profitable way if one does it right.

Technically, it’s still 4 out of 5.
Plus…I just don’t like putting Neil Finn in the same bracket as Dave Mason.
What we need is a Current forum, which could exist regardless of who’s in or out.

I'm in a different time zone and it was killing me to wait for it.
It left me feeling like I wanted to cry. And I'm pretty cynical about this band.
They made Mick be the one to face the music and tell the story. He won't use the word "fired" because that's an ugly word. Uh, but that's what it was obviously.
As I suspected they got right to it first thing in the interview.....and then moved on, or tried to, but it hung like a nasty smell over the rest of the interview.
Chris sat with her head sort of down, looking like she'd rather talk about anything else.
Stevie held Mike's hand and put her hand on John's arm.... I guess she needed a sense of emotional support (they were sitting) Mike held her hand but John did not-- he kept his hands to himself, so she rested her hand on his wrist. That was curious.
Both Stevie an Chris seemed quite uncomfortable during the talk about Lindsey.
There was ZERO statement of any kind about "we wish him well".
And they basically said the happy faces at Musicares was not real. Which makes you want to go back and watch it again.....and wonder at LB's comments about underneath it all is love.......

That interview actually made me feel worse about the whole thing.
It was also strange that Stevie effectively put the blame for not waiting for Lindsey on Christine, especially as in the Rolling Stone article Christine says she didn't even know Lindsey had been fired until she was back in London.
This reminds me of when Mick was angry at Stevie for putting her solo work above the Fleetwood Mac tour he wanted and complained about it in a 2012 interview with Playboy:
http://www.fleetwoodmacnews.com/2012/03/mick-fleetwood-revealing-playboy.html (The Ghost Of Fleetwood Mac)
Apparently they have to wait around for Stevie, even when it upsets Mick, but not Lindsey.
The article also estimated that each member would take home $10 million a piece for a Mac tour in 2012. I imagine that it's way more now so I can see why Mick is fed up with waiting for all that cash.
She did? I must have missed that part....

ok I'm watching CBS on the west coast, and every time they cut to commercial and show the teasers of what is coming up after the break, they start to show something about the FM interview, you'll get a second or two of one of the songs and then they abruptly cut to someone promoting a totally different piece. THey've done this at least 3 times now.
I know they edit the show for the west coast, and even do some segments live (usually the news segments) ....but it's almost 8:30 and they haven't shown FM yet.
I cannot figure out, other than they aren't going to air it, why they keep stepping on the promos for the FM interview and cutting it out. Very weird.

Like I said in another thread, Stevie has demanded the band only tours every three years, even though they had wanted to go on other tours before then. THE BAND WAITED. If Lindsey would have gotten his way (if this is true), it would have been a little under 4 years. This disgusts me. Who the f does Stevie think she is? "I go from one project to the other" I would bet a MILLION dollars that LB would have turned his solo album into a FM album if SN would have been willing to record. This would have kept her working on a project, which she says she needed to do, because she has nothing else to do. NOW they are saying they want to record?????? WE all know what happened. Stevie wanted Mike Campbell in the band, because since she can't write anymore, he will mostly write her songs for an FM album and she can write the lyrics. SO obvious. So sickening.

Agreed. Yuck. Why is Stevie talking about a 'team' like a manager of the local Chick-fil-A or a crappy car dealership? I'm glad they cut to Lindsey and the band singing "The Chain." That was rich. I have even less desire to see them now. Before, they were our band from the 70s, but now they just look like a bunch of geriatrics IN their 70s. Just had a chance to watch the interview. The explanations for the new configuration seem perfectly reasonable to me. The situation within the band became too stressful, too dysfunctional and they couldn't find a way forward with all 5 members, so have looked for a creative solution. Yes it's sad they couldn't find a way to make it work with Lindsey, but as they say they're not getting any younger and they can't just sit around fighting over things. It would be perfect reasonable if they were telling the truth. Lindsey never asked them to wait for 2 years (which is what Stevie told RS). Luckily we have a video of Lindsey telling his fans the day after Musicares how he was planning to do both tours at the same time. Of course it seems this is irrelevant because he was talking to “some fans”. Answers weren’t elaborate like in the CBS interview.

Yeah its pretty sad. The band had so much potential 4 years ago when Christine came back. Suddenly everyone was shocked at what could be. An album with the Rumours 5 and tours to come. NONE of it happened.
To end their legacy this way is beyond sad. If it turns out Billy Burnette was the person who tried out for the band but was rejected (maybe for health reasons or chemistry) is even sadder. The tour does not begin until October. There was plenty of time for Lindsey to summer solo tour. None of this makes sense to surrender your legacy for this. They would never do this to Stevie or Christine or John. Christine looked so sad on the CBS segment.
The band is trying to portray this is a new band that will record. Mark my word and you heard it hear first. The band will rehearse some new song and perform it on tour to try to prove to everyone this is REALLY a new band.

Stevie also looked sad, but I don't believe a word she says, so at this point it's also hard to believe Christine's sadness.
Of course there was plenty of time for Lindsey to do her solo tour. It's like they're now trying to rub in his face how they could hold the tour until the end of year if they wanted to. Because according to Stevie, Lindsey was asking to wait until November and the tour finally starts in October, so I wonder what a difference does a month make....

I really have to wonder if when things got bad, they threatened to part ways with Lindsey thinking it was just their way of twisting his arm and never really intending to do so, but Lindsey essentially called their bluff and said fine, fire me!
Which would explain why Christine may have been shocked he actually left. They all knew it would be the card they would play, expecting an entirely different outcome.

I wonder when they say “majority rules” if that’s to partially a way to absolve Christine any responsibility of being part of the decision.

I think they would say that no matter what. They say majority rules because they allegedly imply it was put out for a vote...however, I would be willing to bet that it's Mick and Stevie who decided on WHAT option was to be floated to the rest of the band.
Majority rules on the vote, but not on the decisions as to WHAT exactly to vote on. That's the shot called influenced by Stevie and Mick.

supposedly, when Mick said in the @CBS interview that majority rules and "divorcing" Lindsey was a group decision, Chris said - no, it was not - i was in London and knew nothing about it.
that got cut.
something like that did make it into RS interview.

I agree completely that Christine seemed to be quite "distant" throughout the entire segment.
I actually feel for her in this whole process. Think about it: she comes back to the music industry specifically to play with the 4 members of Fleetwood Mac she called her "musical family." In fact, she stated on a number of occasions that she could not imagine playing with any other musicians when she returned to music. She was then able to actually make new music (and tour behind it) with her musical "kindred spirit" all through last year. And now...she has to do this tour with a "new family" (step-siblings, if you will)...not what she signed up for when she returned. In fact, and this is just speculation, but I can't help but think she probably feels taken advantage of here. There's no way that if she were still gone from the band that Fleetwood Mac would fire Lindsey and continue with Mick, Stevie, John, and some new guy. With Christine back, Stevie gets to now tour with Fleetwood Mac without Buckingham since two primary songwriters/singers are still present.

It was mentioned somewhere--I think in the article--she heard it when she was in London, I guess after MusicCares? For that reason, is she their way back into Lindsey's good graces when they need to get there? I mean, you know they will. MC is fully aware of the FM/SN drama--but is Neil? Doubtful
Methinks a lot will of the truth come to daylight if/when a lawsuit comes to fruition.
There are so many things I want answers to:
1. What was said in the band "pow-wow" pre this interview. Truthfully, Mick looks like the only one that actually wanted to be there.
2. When Christine did hear (if what SHE'S saying is true) did she push back
3. Who told Stevie there are signs all over LA about her...LOL. Honestly would have loved to be a fly on the wall for that one. As an aside--WOULD LOVE LOVE LOVE people to bring those signs to the concerts. Who knows, maybe Mick or Stevie will sign them. LOL
4. Heard Brett bowed out of this-if so--Kudos to him and that kinda speaks volumes.
5. Mick's drum tech is married to/dating Lindsey's niece.....#awkward.
6. When will Stevie's mentionitis kick in. How long will it take her to dedicate "Landslide" to Lindsey?
7. How soon into the run does the set list change?
8. Who actually thought this was a good idea and did they expect the a$$ kicking they've gotten since it was announced.
I am curious to see how further press goes for this. I mean, CBS was a disaster on all fronts. Do they wait for Pre-sale/tix to go on sale to schedule more press? I mean they have 5 months to button up their script.
And finally-when will we hear from Lindsey? He deserves to have his side out there too--of course, when he's ready. Would love to see it on Oct 2,2018..LOL
