I agree. Even though she's wearing what has become her newest "uniform" she still looks adorable!

God I wish she would wear something else. And some other color. She used to wear so many beautiful dresses and colors. But I don't think that will ever happen. I do love the starfish necklace. Looking good.

Really? :( I'd love for Stevie -just once- to have a soundtrack song that is very audible in a big hit movie! Fast Times was big but Sleeping Angel was only very briefly heard. Most of her other soundtrack songs aren't even played in the movies. Not sure about Battle Of The Dragon in American Anthem-never saw that one.

I agree about the colour or lack of it....but black is de rigeur
However I really love the hunting coat/dress tail coat..very edgy with silk lining in a kind of gold and ...especially the zips.....

Battle of the Dragon was in American Anthem, and Twisted was in Twister. Not sure about other Stevie soundtrack songs.
I am not surprised by the bad reviews- usually when a movie is delayed like this one was, it's because it didn't meet studio expectations.
I agree, I really, really wish Stevie would wear something besides black. She looks great in these photos, but she'd look better in other colors.

"Crystal" from Practical Magic was prominently featured in a scene, and "If You Ever Did Believe" was in fact the closing credits song. But you're right...most of the others are either barely audible ("Touched By An Angel", "Twisted") or are only featured for 5 -10 seconds - "Battle Of The Dragon" is one of those in both categories, which was a shame since it's such a beautiful song. :(

yeah the gold lining is special. So there is something that isn't black on her! The satin lapels are also a nice touch.

Well now she is singing the theme song to a dud. Critics hate the movie. That's what she gets for not doing the Fleetwood Mac album.

All the aforementioned movies in which Stevie was featured in the soundtrack had and still have bad critic reviews, so this isn't really a thing.
Sometimes bad (or so considered by critics) movies have a great soundtrack, see Batman Forever, Batman & Robin, a lot of Bond movies, The Bodyguard, Highlander, Marie Antoinette...

Ooooh didn't see the satin lapels, will have another look.
At least some thought of dressing up, is in this outfit...
It is difficult to remember sometimes, how she used to dress.

What Fleetwood Mac album? Lindsey and Christine have both made it very clear their album is a duets album, so I'm confused. Lindsey especially went out of his way to say the Buck/Vie album was never meant to be a FM album. You're not suggesting they're... lying, are you?
And Stevie's song is great, regardless of whether the movie is good or not. One has nothing to do with the other lol!

Heavy Metal had a cool scene with Blue Lamp.
School of Rock really featured Edge of 17 plus a conversation about Stevie.
Against All Odds played at the club scene.

Errr, Stevie is not responsible for the movie

True. I always forget about Heavy Metal and School Of Rock. They showcase those two songs very well. :)
Against All Odds is strange because the song in the club scene is a completely different version than the soundtrack version (which is off putting) and when the verse starts it's not very audible. Another missed opportunity to showcase (what turned out to be) an amazing song, at least what ended up on the soundtrack, in my opinion. :)

For sure. I'm a huge fan of Violet and Blue.

I'm annoyed that I have to spend 10 bucks on one song. Hate it when they force the entire album. Every track is available to buy separately except Stevie's song. Greedy.

So she recorded this pretty song for this movie.... But how did this all come about? Does she know someone who worked on this film or something? It's just kinda random and came out of nowhere, her doing this track. Does anyone here know?

THANK YOU for this Jondalar! Stevie appears @ 2:22, and somehow seeing her in action, being sweet & supporting the young talent, makes me less critical of her outfit. I even kind of like the hand-gear!

Svnwndrs, this is all I've seen about Stevie's involvement with the song (sorry if you aleady saw this in the other 'new song' post):

It's kind of vague & doesn't really explain how they got Stevie to sing it, but THAT they got Stevie to sing it.

The writer wanted to work with Stevie. He was thrilled. Him and the director just decided that they wanted her to sing the theme song.
