They have a segment where a musical guest will be joined usually by Jimmy and the Roots (this time it appears to be a group of kids) and they play a song using kids instruments. I'm sure it was recorded the other day when they were there.

Thanks, Elle. This was the happiest, most enjoyable few minutes of telly I have seen for some time. Wow! How happy and into both look...and CM relaxing, belting it out, and playing her lil keyboard. Fabulous!

Christine McVie and Lindsey Buckingham have reimagined Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Don’t Stop’ in fine style.

Promoting their recently released and aptly titled studio album ‘Lindsey Buckingham / Christine McVie’, the pair appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night where they reinterpreted the 1977 ‘Rumours’ track with classroom instruments.

With Christine on a miniscule keyboard, Lindsey on a tiny guitar and host Jimmy on percussion they belted out ‘Don’t Stop’ with great aplomb while flanked by Jimmy’s in-house band The Roots and kids from SeriousFun.

Founded in 1988 by legendary actor Paul Newman, the SeriousFun Children’s Network is a global community of camps and programmes for seriously ill children.

Catering for children with over 50 serious conditions the charity’s ethos is to help children “see beyond the limits of their medical conditions and experience all that life has to offer.”

Last November Metallica reworked ‘Enter Sandman’ on classroom instruments with Jimmy Fallon and The Roots. The YouTube video of the performance has been viewed over 14million times.

Featuring contributions from their fellow Mac bandmates John McVie and Mick Fleetwood, Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie’s self-titled album is out right now.

Fleetwood Mac’s last studio album ‘Say You Will’ was released back in 2003.

Watch Christine McVie & Lindsey Buckingham Play 'Don't Stop' Using Classroom Instruments on 'Tonight Show'
6/13/2017 by Gil Kaufman

Andrew Lipovsky/NBC
Jimmy Fallon, Christine McVie, Lindsey Buckingham, The Roots and SeriousFun Children's Network perform "Don't Stop" on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on June 12, 2017.

Fleetwood Mac members Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie have been making the rounds promoting their recently released duet album Lindsey Buckingham/Christine McVie, but their performance on Monday night's (June 12) Tonight Show was surely their most unusual booking to date.

The songwriting powerhouses behind the long-running band known for spawning 1970s radio hits, divorces and more drama than the Trump White House visited a classroom with host Jimmy Fallon, house band The Roots and a handful of kids from Paul Newman's SeriousFun Children's Network camp for kids with serious illnesses to blast through Mac's legendary hit "Don't Stop" in the latest edition of the series that has included toy instruments takes from Sia, Adele, Ed Sheeran and Metallica. And, unlike his frowny mien on the cover of the pair's album, Buckingham's broad smile said it all.

Fleetwood Mac photographed circa 1977.

Fallon also announced on the show that his 2015 collaboration with Ben & Jerry's on "The Tonight Dough" ice cream flavor benefiting SeriousFun's 30 camps and programs around the world surpassed the $1 million mark in fund donated this spring. The performance with the Mac duo was a celebration of that milestone.

Lindsey Buckingham And Christine McVie’s Epic ‘Don’t Stop’ Jam With Kids Is Pure Joy To Watch

Society Of Rock Videos

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon/YouTube

Buckingham And McVie Return To Youth With Elementary School Jam

These days, Fleetwood Mac’s Christine McVie and Lindsey Buckingham are a pretty busy pair. Their new album, titled Lindsey Buckingham Christine McVie, was released June 9th to critical acclaim and since then they’ve been in the news and dominating late night talk shows as 2/5 of Fleetwood Mac’s most successful incarnation carve a musical path for themselves. Last night’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon found the duo joining forces with Fallon and his house band, The Roots, along with special guests from the SeriousFun Children’s Network for an absolutely adorable jam of Fleetwood Mac’s “Don’t Stop” performed entirely on children’s classroom instruments.

Fun Fact: “Don’t Stop” reflects Christine McVie’s feelings after her separation from Fleetwood Mac’s bass guitarist, John McVie, after eight years of marriage.

McVie and Buckingham sat directly in front, armed with a tiny children’s keyboard and a ukelele and guys, to say that it was fun to watch these two cut loose and enjoy the moment is an understatement; giggling in between verses and interacting with the small children around them, Buckingham and McVie are an absolute joy to watch as they remind us that at the end of the day, music is meant to do just that: inspire joy. We may not know who had more fun – Christine and Lindsey or the kids – but we do know that this is a video you’re absolutely going to love! Check it out in the video below and as always, enjoy!

As a lifetime fan of the band, I've just got to say that I've never seen them this happy. EVER. I hope they get enough satisfaction from this project to do another! This album really is a joyous thing from them. :xoxo:

Yes! That's the point of making music: inspire joy. To yourself and to those who wants to be inspired by you. Simple as that. :)

Christine was certainly enjoying her time with those kids. And it was fun to see how cool Lindsey probably is with his own children,.

Well folks this is our early leader for the best Buckingham/McVie moment. Going to have to be something pretty cool to knock this out of first place.
