She will not sing Landslide on these shows. I will bet you olive. And would be willing to pm our addresses to make it official.there is no way it will be landslide. It was only that way in the voice because it wasn't about stevie she was merely providing emotional background music to that montage they were playing. Plus she didn't have time to rehearse anything else.
It Will be stand back or a new song on Ellen or else I will lose all faith in understanding what the f**k stevie and her people are thinking.

I doubt she will perform new songs if she didn't have the time to rehearse the **** out of them, so I think it will be either a classic song or at most Lady.

Does anyone else watch Chelsea Handler's show, Chelsea, on Netflix? Chelsea does real interviews and engages multiple guests in conversation with each other, usually touching on politics among other things. I'd love to see her sit down with Stevie! Plus, she's always wearing graphic tees for 80s bands... Just waiting for her to don a Fleetwood Mac or Stevie Nicks tee!

I'm hoping for this too! It would be a hoot! And she did do that silly SDMHA remake with Jimmy Fallon a couple of years ago, so she just might.
Stevie and Sharon and Lori did that EO17 sing along on Boston radio years ago, which I've been listening too recently, so here's hope she will be light hearted and play along.

Carpool karaoke might be too... improv for Stevie, for lack of a better word. Be awesome if she did it, though.
If she did, it'd probably be a rocker, like Edge, Stand Back, or Talk to Me. My guess is Edge, just because it's more of a sing along type and the audience knows it better than her other songs.

At this point, I see no logical reason that Stevie should go on a major talk show outlet and perform "Stand Back" or "Landslide". Promotional choices like that only cement her status as a "Dinosaur Act". If she wants to be seen as a viable artist who still creates and grows, she needs to present new material in these formats. That will mean playing something from the "24 Karat Gold" album.
Of course, Stevie's team has made some strange promotional decisions. Let's see what happens.

I agree with all of you.Why is she doing old tunes. I think its what the general fans want to hear is the hits and not the new and unknown songs from older established artists and bands.I know some will disagree here with me but its all about hits. Also the same with TV people .They dont want the viewers to turn the channel when an older artist sings a a new tune .

I can't speak for Olive, but I think the point is that it's "too bad" she's going on a television show to promote a NEW tour from a NEW (or "newer" :D) album with NEW songs and yet she misses her opportunity to showcase one of those songs by performing an OLD song.
Don't get me wrong, I love "EO17" but it's been done to death! I'd kill to hear her perfform the title track from 24KG or something else from that album (except "Lady". LOL!)

Ok I have to agree with you. I would love a performance of a new song...but I think we can agree that I bet she was asked to do something classic. Plus, 24K Gold is already 2 years old. At least it is something upbeat and can show she can still rock.

You are exactly right, it's just too bad. It's too bad because Stevie has an opportunity to present herself as a dynamic artist who continues to grow and write amazing songs. Some of the BEST legendary acts out there (Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Springsteen, Jackson Brown, Don Henley, etc...) are STILL making NEW music and PROMOTING IT.
I have come to the conclusion that Stevie is comfortable and JUST FINE with resting on her laurels. She's developed a substantial body of work, and I truly think she has NO INTENTION of continuing to grow as an artist----which, after a lifetime of work, is her right. However, don't complain when she begins to be labeled a "Dinosaur Act" with no new product or desire for continued growth. She can run around the country singing the same 10 songs for the rest of her life and be paid quiet well for it. So, that's fine.
Personally, I have NO INTEREST in watching her sing "Stand Back", "Landslide", "Edge of 17", or "Dreams" on another talk show OR live venue. I won't be tuning in; been there, done that.

I think it would be great for her to just talk, not even necessarily perform/say the same things and leave. She's a wise, thoughtful lady, and if she would just go off-script a little her personality will draw people to want to find out more about her.
That said, Carpool Karaoke would be the PERFECT opportunity to touch on all those old hits in a fun, new way.

Yeah, but remember when she was on Letterman in the late 90's. She had just finished performing and the band started playing out to commercial with an instrumental version of Rhiannon and Stevie literally pushed Dave out of the way, grabbed the mic and started singing. I think she could rock out with car karaoke.

she's selling the tour at this point, not 24K Gold. I think it stinks too that she's forced to do songs we've heard a million times but these are the songs the casual fans eat up at concerts so I believe that's the marketing angle here. I firmly believe Stevie would much rather sing a new song but the oldies are better for business. Just my thoughts...

I hear she is doing EO17 as well. YAAAAAWN. Classic or not, it's been done to DEATH! She should have gone "The Dealer," or "Twisted," good uptempo rock songs, "Hard Advice," classic "old style" Stevie Nicks sound or "She Still Loves Him," a beautiful song with a bit of a different style with the Celtic sound to it which could really open her up to a newer fan base. Although the original is so much better than the 1 on 24k Gold. BUT, regardless, sing Mary Had A Little Lamb Stevie and I will be there w/open ears and a happy mind!

If you dislike her and her choices this much, why do you continue to follow this board? Don't get me wrong because I'm not being a jerk wanting to cause a fight, I'm totally serious here. That much negativity over someone who doesn't even know that you exist is not healthy. I realized that for myself a few days ago over all the uproar with Stevie's supposed lack of participation on the next FM album. I quit posting to those threads and reading anything in the Rumours forum. I don't need that kind of negativity in my life and neither do you. Surely, you do realize that Ellen requests the songs that she wants sung? Also, casual fans only relate to those hits. She's there to promote a tour, not to give a private concert to all of the die hard fans. She's going to sing what is requested. It's your choice to watch it or not, but please, stop criticizing everything. This is a place that I visit to catch up on news about Stevie and the band. It should be fun, a place to find other fans and to share in the excitement of a new tour, a new album or whatever is going on. Lately, it's been anything but that, and it makes me terribly sad. I've followed many artists amd I belong to many web boards and forums. I have to say that I've never encountered hatred anywhere else like I do here. I hope this changes soon, because this is a great source of knowledge for fans. It's ok to disagree, but it can be done respectfully.

Got a point there. This goes for all members of the Mac.I know people got their opinions on any of FMs members but its getting carried away here lately with the BS.For seasoned artists like Stevie and others .If they did not change years ago .They are not going to change now.

Honestly, I'm just thrilled she's doing all this! It's been years since her last real solo outings and I think she's really going outside her comfort zone with her ideas for the set list etc... We'll see how it all shakes out but I am always just thankful whenever I can see her and will support her with all she does! Even if she sings Landslide on every tv show in perpetuity :p

Thanks you Lulu and everyone here who just wants to have a positive conversation and share excitement around the fact that Stevie continues to devote time to her solo career. This board used to be such a great place where ALL fans came to share what was going on and share their experiences. Over the last 2 or 3 years it has taken a dark turn and those who have nothing positive to say seem to be allowed to run amuck here and then try to make those of us who don't want to engage in it feel like we are the ones who have issues. Just ignore them. It is like swatting gnats...they usually come back but, every once in a while you get to squish one in your hand. They know who they are and they know exactly what they are doing...and just want someone to engage with to argue. It is pretty pathetic actually.

For a song that never charted when it first was released 40 plus years ago in 1975 has become one of the most popular FM tunes around. Not bad . I'm glad it finally hit the charts when the Dance and the Dixie Chicks revived it later on in its life .How come the original tune was not a hit in 1975. It probably would been FMs first number 1 hit if the fans catch on then.

That was fantastic! Thanks for posting it!
I'm no artist manager, but I'm pretty sure when they're told they only have time to do one song on these shows, they usually will do a song that the audience is familiar with. I remember Stevie did do a new song a few years ago promoting IYD on some show, but she also did one of her classics as well. Another thing that might be considered in Stevie's case is the fact that she's sixty-eight years old and there are people that need proof that she "still has it". This is done partially by singing a song those people are familiar with. Hey maybe I should be a manager haha!
As far as the negative posts go, I too am sick of it. I mean I get a little bit of it here and there but it seems pretty consistent on these boards lately. Sometimes I'll just skip over them. But when it gets real bad and ridiculous I feel like I have to go in and bat some of them down.
Anyway, that was a great performance. Can't waot to watch it on my big TV at home later.

It was fantastic - one of my personal favorite songs! EDGE OF SEVENTEEN! :) They look great, they sound great!
They all rocked it. I thought it was pretty fantastic myself. Al Ortiz is playing bass off to the back right also. So glad to see her band back together!!!

I'll have to watch it again. It impressed me as generic. Her makeup looked great, I'll say that.:D

I just realized that Carlos was playing bass, correct? I thought I read somewhere that Al Ortiz was going to be back on bass for her?

Al is there on the right of Carlos.

I think the last time I saw you was at the Atlantic City show. I hope you are doing well. I am probably just hitting the Tampa stop this tour. Cant wait to see what she has to offer this time.
Nice job Stevie and band! Good seeing Minnie back with her! This was one of her better TV performances. Have fun on your tour!

It was great but I know what you mean. IMHO its the technology. The live songs are more intricate and soft compared to the big arena rock versions. That happened ever since the Dance tour. The songs lose that edge (pardon the pun) live.

Ooh I really liked a glimpse at Stevie's soft side here though!
I think it was a fabulous performance for a talk show and Stevie looks and sounds great.
And I looooove seeing Stevie and Sharon duet with each other. I think this little video solidifies them as my OTP.

Oh my goodness, the little thingy in the right corner said I last visited 05-27-2003. Not too long after seeing the Mac on the SYW tour, IIRC. I was amazed I still had a registered account!
I've had an acute attack of my dormant Stevie/FM obsession starting last Spring and have been lurking around the Ledge enjoying all the recent appearances and goings on with Ms. Nicks. I so enjoyed seeing her on Ellen and can't imagine I'll ever tire of hearing her perform Edge of Seventeen. Though, if I had to guess I probably wouldn't have expected when I last posted in '03 that Stevie would still be singing on national TV 16 years later! Looking great too (timeless...).
In my excitement over both the performance and seeing a couple names pop up in this thread from back in the days of the original Ledge (I did most of my posting on the original message board...back when I was in college and rediscovered FM during The Dance), I couldn't resist logging in an expressing my excitement to fellow Stevie fans. :D
I hope everyone will be sharing detailed reviews of her concerts like we did back "in the old days" as I'm not going to be able to get to any of the shows. (At least there's YouTube now...though there was something special and fun about trading VHS tapes...)
Sorry to get off topic. She was great on Ellen today. Going to go rewatch!

 I got some negatives on ebay I have yet to develop but based on what I could tell, there's a Bella Donna tour picture that might make your shipper heart very happy.

I thought it was pretty good, though I hate it when they cut songs to fit a TV schedule. I understand why they do it, but it really bugs me. She did it with Landslide as well. Did they really need to trim it by 20 seconds? I guess we don't have an attention span long enough to actually watch a whole song anymore. :(
Anyway, she sounded pretty good, though I think she relies heavily on her background singers on this song in particular. But anyway, hopefully she'll follow through on her promises this tour and do a whole bunch of new songs and songs she hasn't done ever or at least in a long time. (Crossing my fingers for Angel, though I'm sure that didn't even make that 31-song mythical list she gave to Waddy. : ) )

Stevie is 68 years old. The fact she can still secure a spot on a top rated, national syndicated talk show is fantastic. She won't be around forever, and I was delighted to see her perform EO17! She appeared to promote the upcoming tour and sell tickets. The best way to do that was to perform a classic song. She can promote the 24K album during the tour by performing songs from it. You must realize that in order to sell tickets to the tour, the tv audience needed to hear one of her classics and show how hard she's still rocking. Hard core fans would of loved her to have sung a new song from the 24K album, true. But she wasn't appearing on "Ellen" to simply appeal to us hard core fans. She was trying to connect with the general public, to create interest in this tour to sell concert tickets. If one of the new songs was a top 40 radio hit, yeah, it would have made sense to do a new song on tv. But casual fans wouldn't know the song, and hearing an old favorite would make them more likely to be reminded of how awesome she is and get them to go buy tickets.
IMO, this is the best strategy. Once she is on stage, during the tour, then she CAN sing some of the newer songs, thus promoting sales for 24K.
Just my two cents.
