My wife is a huge Stevie fan and her dream is to meet her. OK I am a huge Nicks fan as well but I travel a lot to see other bands and enjoy all types of music while my wife on the other hand does not really enjoy any band but Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks. Any ways I was wondering if anyone knows the details on the VIP deal. I have to do this for my wife and need info ASAP. I am trying to surprise her with a meet and greet , thanks in advance.

I'm not sure I'd count on any of the VIP packages including a meet and greet. There's no hint of that on anything on the site yet.

I have been reading info from a bunch of different sites , it is probably just a rumor but someone did mention meet and greets . I know Stevie Nicks does not like to do them or at least that is what I have heard but I am hoping. FINGERS CROSSED.

Does anyone happen to know if the VIP presale in the morning is Amex only?

Will have to do some traveling for this show, but I'm ok with that!! :blob2:

I have not really heard anything for sure. All I know is when you click on the VIP link on her site it kicks you back to Ticket Master. Price range for tickets are $35.35 to $145.50 plus a service fee. I wish the promoters of these events would come out with this info before tickets go on sale. Because after tickets go on sale you are stuck with what you can grab. Then there ya are , it sucks.

So far the only thing listed with the VIPs are tickets in the first five rows the next 10 rows and then up to the 20th row depending on your price range and each one includes a piece of special Stevie merchandise there's no meet and greet Listed and probably won't be. And based on other groups of her caliber and time like heart I would expect the prices to be between 3 and 500 a seat

Yesterday there was a VIP page setup for her on her website and it had 3 boxes with three different pictures and it was gold levels silver level and premium level and you clicked it and got nothing it went back to the tour page and it just said Each one had a seat row limit and then a special piece of merchandise included

Thank you very much Olive, I found it but still no mention of price, looks like a meet and greet is out of the question again. We went to two shows during the On With The Show Tour and had great seats . The only meet and greet offered at the time was with Mick and she said Mick scared her and she was not interested in that , haha. I thought it would have been really cool to meet him but I will have to do that another day I suppose.
thanks again

I just messaged Ticket Master and they said they can not give me the password. This makes no sense . I have spent thousands with TM over the years and here I am willing to spend possibly another grand and they will not come off with the password.
I will get it my fellow FM fans and when I do I will post it right here for you all.

$560 for Gold Package
$475 for Silver Package
$390 for Premium Package

"Plus applicable service fees"

Is that bad?

With no meet and greet and the fact that they haven't said what the merch is, I would say so. When I saw her with Rod Stewart I paid $150 for second row! And I paid $250 for sixth row for Fleetwood Mac! I just cannot imagine paying so much and no even be guaranteed front row or a meet and greet.

HoosierMacFan

Just to put things into perspective. Last year I paid $300 for a ZZ Top VIP ticket package. It came with a front row seat, a meet and greet with a photo, one signed item and a small bag of merch. $560 is a crazy price just to see her alone . I might pay that to see the whole band if I was guaranteed front row. If I remember right not long ago $550 got you a seat in the first 5 rows and a meet and greet with Mic.

Well why would they ask for so much and why the big Arenas? The Pretenders have been sort of out of it...

Right, I am leaning towards just waiting until the ticket prices go down and sitting in the nose bleeds for this one. I really doubt there is any way she will fill the big arenas alone.I like her and hope she does but without the rest of FM ?

In classic Stevie fashion, I JUST found out about the tour TODAY, and tickets go on sale tomorrow (PRESALE). You've got to love her!! Planning has never been a strong suit of the Stevie Nicks PR TEAM/CONCERT PROMOTION. This whole thing was probably thrown together in the last week or so. Thanks goodness we have the Gold American Express card, so I'll be buying on presale day. That being said, I've been going to solo and FM concerts since 1977 and I won't miss this one.

Wow. That's higher than I thought. The most I would pay is $500, nothing more. So I probably will just play the waiting game or buy some off of StubHub or Ticket Exchange. I'm not even going to try that presale tomorrow. I would have to borrow somebody's American Express card. I'm not too bummed because I know that most pre-sales don't yield very good seats anyway. In all the years I've tried pre-sales, I have only gotten lucky one time and that was in 2004 for Fleetwood Mac I put second row somehow.

From the Ticketmaster FAQ:

If you have an eligible American Express card the code for preferred tickets is the 10 digit customer service number on the back of your card. You must use an eligible American Express card for purchase.

Good luck everyone!

Do you have any info as to what's required for the AMEX presale? Thanks.

I believe just an AMEX card. This will be the first time I'm participating in the AMEX presale as we just recently got one. Otherwise, I've always had to wait for regular sale when many of the good seats are filled. I'll post back tomorrow after I try to purchase.

As for a MEET and GREET happening with the $560 VIP, I seriously doubt it will happen. I believe it only includes seats in rows 1-5 and a souvenir. Stevie doing meet and greets is EXTREMELY RARE.

Last time I went through this I was lucky enough to get into the presale with a friends number and pull tickets. Then I got to the checkout in record time with great seats. I attempted to pay with my Mastercard and it would not take my card . I had to wait until presale was over and ended up with nose bleeds because you have to use an AMEX card to pay for your tickets. Hence the name AMEX presale . Yes all you need is an AMEX card However I was told by TM VIP service that you do not need an AMEX card to purchase VIP tickets . All you need is any credit card and a password. I still have not found the password for VIP tickets because the jokers would not give it to me over the phone. Told me I should have got an email containing said password but I still have not received it.
One password I was able to find through the help of others is .......GOLD but that is a Facebook presale deal that will probably happen after the good seats are taken.

So, the AMEX presale and VIP packages are two separate entities, correct? If tomorrow is the regular old Amex presale, then those tickets are always crap.

Can we buy VIP packages tomorrow?

Yes there are two different presales tomorrow happening at the same time. I was told one does not have to have a AMEX card to purchase VIP tickets . One does need a credit/ debit card and THE PASSWORD. The password for the VIP presale still remains a mystery.

Thanks for reaching out to us. The VIP package presale for Stevie Nicks should be a public presale. So, you should not need a password to buy VIP packages then.

That doesn't make much sense to me because why bother having a VIP presale separate from the VIP general public date? Doesn't "presale" by definition mean that it pre-dates the on sale date? Gotta love it.

I am not sure about other venues, but the Toyota Center says this: "VIP Packages are exclusive to AMEX card holders beginning on Sept. 7. They will become available to the general public starting on Sept. 9 at 10am."

So it looks like VIP is AMEX only for the first 2 days.

I thunk they like to use the presales as a way to convey that tickets will be hard to get, so you'd better grab whatever you can during the "exclusive presale"! This is all a ploy, of course. There will be plenty of tickets.

Never mind my last post. Looking more closely for the Mohegan sun date, the VIP presale date and time is the same as the General Public VIP sale date and time, so definitely don't need a special password for the VIP tickets. ;)

Wow... those prices are staggering considering how little you get as part of the VIP package. I daresay the "exclusive" gifts will consist of a VIP lanyard and a tote bag with a picture of Stevie. I guess they've gotten to the point where they just say, "Hey, the fans are paying for the seat - why bother with other niceties?"

I'm very disappointed. Looks like I won't be getting anywhere near the stage (yes, I'll still go. It's Stevie!)

It is very expensive for no meet and greet. I have a bad feeling that this tour may not be the big seller they hope. If it is heavy in 24K and IYD material casual fans wont want to pay big bucks and it seems not worth it for the VIP IMO.

Mind you the Eagles charged 1000 for front row tickets and besides the ticket you got a preshow reception with drinks and food but no meet and greet with any band member.

HoosierMacFan
09-07-2016, 02:44 AM
Funny you should mention the Eagles, if I remember right they are the ones that started this crap. Charging outrageous prices to see a reunited band that was never suppose to get back together. Come to think of it I did not go see them because of it. I believe it was the When Hell Freezes Over Tour and I remember saying I will pay that much for a ticket when hell freezes over.
Yea Yea Yea I could have went and seen them on the cheap. I could have sat in the nose bleeds and watched the big screens but if you are going to do that you might as well wait on the DVD and plug it in at home. A lot less idiots to deal with that way.
I am a stage hugger , always have been . For me that is where its at, in the first five rows. I miss the days when one could camp out at your local ticket outlet and pay the same price for front row as the folks sitting in the upper sections. Not only for the great tickets but for the experience. It was a lot of fun camping out with like minded people and meeting new friends.
I suppose it all comes down to the bottom line, how much is too much ? I can not honestly say I would never pay $1000 a ticket to go see a band but for me that would only be one band , Led Zeppelin with Jason Bonham on the drums. Would I pay more, I doubt it. Will it ever happen , probably not.
So how much is too much to see Stevie from the first five rows ? I am thinking $250 -$300 is what I would pay. IMO it would be worth it just to see the look on my wife's face. She has never experienced front row at a show in which she truly loved the performer . In fact I asked her what she would pay to sit front row to see her idol and she said 50 bucks, hahahaha. Like I stated above I would pay 5-$600 per ticket to see the whole band FM. In fact I think that was the going rate during the On With The Show tour, nick named ON with The Dough by some, lol, However I do not see paying that much to see Stevie on solo.
After doing some reading on this forum, because I have been out of the loop for the last year and a half, I am thinking all of us FM fans should skip this show. IMO Ms. Nicks should be in the studio finishing up the next FM album and getting ready to tour with them. Not out here doing some in your face tour trying to prove to the band that she can do it with out them. Charging the same prices and filling the same venues in half the time.
When I purchased our O.W.T.S tour tickets I remember waiting about six months to see the shows and the venues did not sell completely out. They were very close but I remember seats being available on day of show at the three we went to.
So how is Stevie going to fill these arenas in two months? Part of me hopes she does not and sees the light and goes running back to the band.

I'm thinking of paying the $500 just to avoid the stress. I'm having flashbacks of sitting in the last row of the highest bleacher seat on her 2012 tour and buying my ticket to the first OWTS date the day of.

However I'm worried if I buy the expensive seats that I'll be put in aisle 5 all the way in the corner. Do you actually get to pick your seat for these things?

Its expensive for what you get. Not all artists have meet and greets. I had the Lady Gaga package for the same price $500. The price included early entry, drinks, beer, food, and a huge VIP party inside hours before the doors opened (all included in the price). Each ticket holder also got 3 merchandise items....beach towel, Lady Gaga sunglasses, and a VIP Gaga ticket holder ......all this in addition to front row seated seats.
Ticketmaster is charging the same price $500 for just seats in row 5 with maybe a T shirt included. At least the Mac VIP included a meet and greet.

These are large arenas. The tour is coming to an arena in Sunrise, FL. In 2013 the successful Mac tour cancelled this gig and also Toronto because of poor ticket sales.

An intimate setting promoting 24K Gold featuring only Stevie and her material would be so much better for fans to hear the music. But the promoters obviously got control. At least its better than the horrible Heart and Soul tour with Rod Stewart. Stevie was an opening act. Rod Stewart would never join her on stage during her set. She had to join him on his stage to sing back up. That was the worst tour ever. I always felt Stevie must have been humiliated to be an opening act and treated that way.
Stevie does the shortest set lists ever. I bet the Pretenders are forced to shorten their set list because of Stevie. Most bands do at least 15-20 songs per concert. Stevie does around 11 or 12. When Stevie opened for Rod, it was the perfect fit because she was the opener.

IMO she just really wants to sing her songs. Most of the time, people's opinions on Stevie don't bother me, but this makes me a little sad... of course there's ego involved, there always is, but this is a singer who's been saying she really wants to go out there and sing her songs for two years now.

I can't believe the number of large arenas this promoter has booked. When I saw her solo IYD tour in Toledo, OH the 10,000 seat Huntington Arena was about 1/2 empty.

This has the makings of a very badly planned tour; Chrissie's fans will leave in droves at intermission, and I really don't believe the two bands can fill up arenas at those prices.

Radio City IMHO seemed to be the best fit for this.

I hate these Amex only pre-sales. All the best seats will be snatched up, mostly by assholes who just want to turn around and sell them on StubHub for thousands more than the original cost.

Went with 3rd row towards center for Chicago. Opted for Platinum Seats over the VIP. $200 cheaper and I really don't need another t-shirt. My early Christmas present to myself.

Atlanta Presale prices were $500, $450 and $350 if I remember right.
I pulled floor section 4 row F. That's not bad for Phillips. We were section 211 for FM and they were decent as well.

No luck in Nashville , pulled front row 5 times and each time could not get them in my cart to pay for them , another fan beat me to them is what it kept telling me . I looked at other shows . Chicago, Auburn Hills and Grand Rapids. Found row 2 in Auburn Hills for $500 each but I could not bring myself to pay that much.

Most of the venue prices were the same. $500 Gold , first 5 rows on down to premium for $350.

No password needed anywhere just an AMEX card for most, all except for Nashville, any card would have worked there , I was lied to by TM VIP service twice.

One can go get a pre paid AMEX card at a local retailer that sells them. This will work, I have done it before. BUT dropping a grand to sit second row , NOT TODAY.

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE

I am thinking the scalpers bought most of the front row in Nashville. They will put them on the after market sites and charge a fortune for them. Probably over $1000 a ticket. I had forgot all about the huge numbers of scalpers in TN before deciding on my plan A event. I should have got a pre paid AMEX card and tried the other shows first. I still would have got the VETO from the wife . She said there is no way in hell she would pay that much without a meet and greet . OH WELL . I tried , LOL.

Not sure about that , the price difference I am seeing is $50 between VIP and platinum seats, in the first 5 rows. Did not see any that was $200 cheaper.

If anyone is interested there are still some good seats left in Auburn Hills because the scalpers can not do this event, it is will call only. The way all events should be. Photo ID and credit card required to pick up tickets day of show.

Also take into consideration that these venues don't have amphitheater type seating. If you pay $400 dollars for the cheaper VIP seats and you're in the 20th row, you're on the flat floor and will have 20 rows of people in front of you. I hate floor seating in venues like this.

Truly absurd. I snagged two tickets in Row 12 in Chicago for $150 each.

For those having difficulty finding tics, keep searching. There doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason to how Ticketmaster generates search results. After multiple attempts, I was able to find decent seats.

Good luck!

Platinum seats for my show (LA 12/18) are going for MORE than the Gold VIP tickets, and that sucks. Right now platinum has row 5, off to the side, for $595 each.
Hope to get lucky with regular on sale on monday.

I had to borrow a co-worker's Amex and pony up a check to pay him right away, but we managed to get 11th row in Columbia for $150 each on the Amex presale. You couldn't pick seats off the map in Charlotte, so we'll be driving over the border instead. It is a three hour drive to either place. I wish all the venues would go to the pick your seats off the map method. Now to figure out what hotels in Columbia are like, no trying to drive home in the middle of the night for me...

Wow, congratulations. It's great that the Amex sale actually had good seats. I used my brother's Amex but only got 17th row on the side, about 1/3 of the way back. Nothing better came up and the Silver Package or whatever that was called seats that were on the floor started at around $350, which I guess I could afford but which I refuse to pay. So decent but not good seats for $170 means I'm a little grumpy, but of course most people in the world wouldn't consider this a problem, so I shouldn't either. :)

The whole middle section of the floor was all VIP priced till pretty far back, so we are in one of the side floor sections, but still reasonably close to the middle. I don't think it will be too bad and I just couldn't bring myself to pay the VIP pricing to be a little more centered. Thanks for the congratulations... :)

I was able to pull 2 4th row ($500 Vip) section Ds for the LA Forum show, but I just couldn't do it. I really want the center- section C, and if I'm going to pay that much I need to be able to justify it.
I kept refreshing and throwing tickets back, I'm currently locked out. Hey, Ticketmaster, I'm not a "Bot"!

Hoping the general onsale Monday will yield better seats. It's such a frigging head game, isn't it?
God, I have a headache.

I was able to pull front row center for the Nashville show (VIP Gold) - I wasn't going to spend that kind of money, but I caved (like I inevitably do!). And I must say.... I'm so excited I can hardly stand it!!! :blob1::blob2::blob1:

I can't pull any tickets up on ticketmaster now either. I thought about the VIP seats only because I won't have access to ticketmaster when the general sales start, but there is no way I'm paying that kind of money for floor seats at a Stevie show, when people paying much less are going to have access to the front of the stage anyway.

I get that.
"Perfect seats" to me, are 2nd row, dead center.

I did the Fleetwood Mac VIP package in 2003 second row center. We're sitting there waiting for the show when this young guy sits in his front row center seat, excitedly looking around. He turns to us and tells us he was on his way home from college and just figured he'd see if there were any seats available and got front row. About 10 minutes later a girl who also got last minute tickets sat next to him. I'll never pay that much money for a seat again. BTW, the sound isn't very good that close to the stage in my opinion.

Last year we got tickets as a Christmas gift for Madison Square Garden, but they were in the upper catwalk type section, and I had a blast, but I'm older now and have been up front already. :)
