Yes, i do realize I didn't need a question mark after the above statement.

I've seen them enough.
I'm never going back again.

I haven't seen the band since 2004 because of the lack of new music. I kind of wanted to go see them for Christine's return, but didn't end up going because I was never able to pull up a decent seat for any of the Texas dates. If I'm going to pay $200 to see the band, I'd have to be in the first 25 rows. I honestly don't know if I'll ever go see the band again at this point. I suspect unless they put out new music, I won't. Which is unfortunate, because I've never seen Christine live.

I will go see them one more time. It pisses me off that they won't put any new music out, BUT, they've been the soundtrack to my life.
So I'll pony up, one more time.
Because likely that's all they have left in them(before one of them kicks the bucket).

I agree.I'm not going to condemn or dont go to shows of this band for no new tunes but I will very happy for new tunes in the setlist. Meantime I know I will cut down on going to multiple shows. As I see already stuff on here about their upcoming tour will start in fall of 2017. If its true.I wont be driving in blizzards and snow covered hills" Pun intended" to see them 5 times.

I really think this should be their last tour. I will definitely be seeing them at least once in 2017. I don't want them to play any new songs. I would rather them play old songs from 1975-1987 that they never played live before, or some of the old pre Buckingham Nicks songs, Oh Well, Why, or Frozen Love would be awesome too. I know all that is extremely unlikely, but I really don't want to spent $500 for a ticket to see them play songs that I don't know and love.

I wouldn't see them again unless they played new music or some songs that have never/rarely been played live.

Not a chance. If I did, I'd be liable to shout "NEW %*}]% MUSIC" between songs.

I saw them twice on the last tour. Two years on, I'd need a real incentive (ie: new music and deep tracks from previous albums) to see them again.

One thing that does burn me up is they got to give up the inflated tix prices and cash grab touring .Bands like the Marshall Tucker Band are playing for free like they did last month at a weekly town green event a town next to me.Other hits bands are doing the same on Connecticut town greens and at the casinos here .They got to get off of their cash grab tour habits and give back to us fans that supported them for all of this time.

While I complain about the set list.... The energy in Los Angeles for the first 3 shows was unreal... Stevie did the best GDW I've ever seen. And I'm so sick of that song... but it was really really good... LIttle Lies was amazing... not crazy about that song, either...
I say no... but I'll change my mind... Please.. give us a new album..

I voted the first option, even though a disagree with your sarcastic tone. Rhiannon was the highlight of the Sydney show I went to last year for me.
And 9000 is inaccurate (it's probably more like 15000 if you count Stevie solo, lol!)
Of course I will be seeing this band unless there is a darn good reason not to (including financial reasons).
The price of a ticket might stop me from going to see the Mac. The lack of a new studio album won't.
Why?
Boycotting Fleetwood Mac is in no way an effective method of forcing them to release the finished songs they have in the vault.
Yes. That's right. Fleetwood Mac officially have a vault of new songs. Just like Stevie has a vault of old songs. The difference is all of Stevie's, or most, have been leaked or put on YouTube already. Linds and Chris are keeping their new songs secret. Well, sort of. There's one lucky journalist out there who MIGHT have heard Too Fare Gone. In an article he/she wrote they describe Too Far Gone as "a danceable new track/song" and you have to wonder, how would they know is sounded danceable, if they hadn't heard it?
Anyway I am confident we will get new music. But my view is that it's a matter of WHEN not IF. And by that I mean: we either wait until a member dies (hopefully of natural causes and not murder by a bandmate lol) or we wait until Ste new songs.
I'm about to post a new thread with my idea of the best way for them to get Stevie involved.

Can you remember who or what the article was?
I remember Christine interviewed for the songwriter award she got a couple of years ago- she said her new songs were very diverse- a bit of pop/rock, a bit of blues, a bit of country.
I think bands like Fleetwood Mac are in a very difficult position concerning ticket prices due to the touts (scalpers). Whatever they charge as face value the majority of those tickets are going to be sold through touts and secondary sites for many times the face value. The band can't do much to control that. I dont know what its like in the States but here in the UK getting face value tickets for pretty much anything big is impossible these days.
I was thinking about this- perhaps a band like Fleetwood Mac should charge the going rate- ie face value way above what they normally charge. In terms of market forces, people are only going to pay a mark-up to a certain level. If they charged high enough then touts wouldn't be able to make any profit. Then, the band could give the price difference to a local charity in each city they played.
Fans wouldn't be too bothered as they'd end up paying roughly the same price they would have paid anyway. The band would look good as they'd come across as some sort of Robin Hood-type crusaders for justice.
The end results would be that people wouldn't be able to make an easy profit on high profile gigs and a lot of charitable organisations would get a sizable lump of cash.

I would pass even if they were to perform new songs...
Grew tired of going to FM concerts and pay top dollar and see MULTIPLE fist-fights - usually involving audience members who should have just stayed home to keep from ruining the fun for many, such as myself. So MUCH for "make love not war"...tsk, tsk, tsk :distress:
The May 2009 Tulsa show was the LAST STRAW - when I see more fights at a single FM show than ALL THE METAL CONCERTS I HAVE ATTENDED COMBINED, then it is time to hang up the excitement of going to a FM concert.

Your equivocation is the most honest post in this thread. The truth is, I would fight with myself not to see them, should they come my way again. But I'll definitely try to boycott it if there isn't a new album.

I saw the band last year for the first time in a very long time because of Christine's return.
The concert was reasonably convenient for me and I was able to get a ticket for an affordable price. I paid around $60 for balcony at the other end of the arena. I don't want a floor seat anyway because everyone stands and I wouldn't see a thing. I could see fine from where I was with my binoculars.
I would go again next year if the circumstances were similar -- reasonably convenient venue, cheap-ish tickets. But unlike many of you Ledgies I haven't devotedly gone to every tour (wasn't interested if Chris wasn't there), so I'm not tired of them the way many of you are.
So, I guess the answer's yes, bring on Rhiannon for the one million, four hundred and eighty-one thousand, six hundred and thirteenth time. Or is it six hundred and fourteenth. lol

At this point I'd rather go see The Children Of Fleetwood Mac.
Surely some of the talent was passed on. The 5 are just too old
now.

I'm not sure. it was so great to see Christine again in 2015, but if they do their final tour, the tickets will be even more expensive. I payed 294 Euros for a first row ticket, and was rewarded with a great view at Stevie being bored and pissed at something, not even trying to be professional. And that was pretty uncool.

Oh, I totally agree. Us diehards prostrating ourselves for new music are a fraction of a fraction of a percent of their paying fanbase. For me personally, I just don't have any desire to hear the same old songs live. If the band were to launch a radically different setlist filled with nothing but deep cuts, I'd probably go to several concerts and be the most excited person in attendance.
However, it's pretty much a given at this point that the Fleetwood Mac setlist is essentially frozen in place. There will never be a FM concert without Rhiannon or Go Your Own Way. Rumours will ALWAYS be the main event. The hits were what put the band on the map, but I've heard them so many times I just never care to hear them again. It's simply a personal decision for me. Instead of hearing the same old songs, I'd honestly rather take that money and go to the beach for the weekend. That's just me, though.

When they tour without Stevie, they will not be able to get more than 100 $ for front row. So they won't. As unfair it may seem, given the enthusiasm and effort the other members put into that band, they are nothing without Stevie and she knows that so damn well. Let's face it, she is the main draw.
FM is better with Stevie, I wouldn't want to see the band at all without her, because even on her most uninspired day she gives the band a great dynamic.

See, I KNOW that that's what the general pubic wants from them, because the general public are lemmings. They follow style over substance, and always have. If she didn't twirl around like some hippie dolt, she'd still be a waitress, IMO. She -intentionally or not- became her own brand, by being this hippie dippy chick. And now, her limelight has become the creative cesspool of FM. Because bitch is holding them hostage.
So tix will be under $100, and I'll be able to see them in smaller venues? WHAT is the downside for me? You're just sweetening the deal! :woohoo:
