I don't know if it's already been posted but Danielle on her site has brought to the attention that the Ivory Keys group recently acquired more unreleased Buckingham-Nicks demos and outtakes:

Yeah, and they're gonna give it to us served with tea and pastries.
The companies will hold on to the material until after their deaths.

What companies??? Last I knew Stevie & Lindsey had full ownership of "Buckingham/Nicks" and I believe Keith Olson has a stake in the project because he was the producer...After Stevie & Lindsey are gone I'm sure Jessica and Kristen will put it out there when they need a few extra $$$...

Polydor gave them the full ownership of the album rights?

i would bet a 3 are incorporated and their businesses are runned by a lawyer , agent or relative , with lots of arguing over who s getting the biggest piece of the pie

Once Stevie and Lindsey are gone, won't most of their fans who want these BN extras be dead too? If not dead, then senile. I am already starting to wane.

So let me get this right, Kim Anderson sold these demos to a collector?

Thanks for selling Stevie out, Kim. Especially considering that I'm sure she's financially provided for your child's education and well being for a number of years now. Really? The thanks she gets is selling her demos to a parasitic collector. Were these demos given to you as gifts, or did you run off with them? If they were gifts, they should have stayed in your "PRIVATE" collection. Anything to make a buck.

Actually Stevie did gave some of them away, probably some were stolen too:
About 24K Gold:
“I used to make cassettes of my songs and hand them out. But to know that these songs have finally been recorded with the same love they were originally created is joyous for me. I picked 12 songs from about 40 demos made from ’69 – ’87 and one each from 94 and 95..."

"We went onto YouTube and we found all the songs that, somehow, were taken from my house or picked up or loaned out or whatever ..."

In some interview she said that when she played demo cassettes to her guests they told her they liked it more than the finished version of the song and asked her if they could have them.

Their next opportunity would be a 2018, 45-year anniversary reissue. It could easily be a 3CD/LP release: remastered album, outtakes/Buckingham Nicks II songs, live CD, and original album on 180gm vinyl.

One can only hope.

My goodness, how beautiful. Thank you for posting these!

I'm a total chiffon head, but "Going Home" and Lindsey's version of "Crying in the Night" are both new favorites.

Exactly. It doesn't say that at all. If someone goes to the trouble to obtain something like this and then further out of their own generosity shares them, why should I get worked up over how we got to hear them? It's none of my business.

At this point why wouldn't she? Bucking ham Nicks seems permanently stalled from ever being officially released. Going Home would be a great addition to the new FM album but that's not going to happen either.

When Stevie made jokes about her and Lindsey's friends stealing their cassettes (from behind the sofa) and putting it on Youtube, during her song intro, she didn't seem that bent out of shape. It happened so long ago. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

Every artist likes thievery. Sure she loves the fact more unauthorized songs are circulating.

She was the naive one early in her career that handed out cassettes of her songs in progress to her "friends". I think she's smartened up over the years but she was the one who made the mistake years ago of handing out copies of songs before they were commercially released, thus removing the chance to surprise people with new songs in their final, polished arrangements.

On the other hand, the ones that are sound board recordings or from her studio demo sessions (vs. her at home ones) it would seem like someone who works in the studios or for the sound company would be the guilty party..... so many of those come from her solo work, though there are FM works as well (Smile At You, Joan of Arc, etc etc ).

Who knows if some of them were leaked by her or with her knowledge. You never know.

It's curious that far fewer LB demos get leaked and even fewer of Christine's and that they also have far less of an entourage of hangers-on

It would seem like in the old days it would be pretty easy to steal stuff from Mick. Just hang out with him until he was semi-unconscious (which I would think was not an irregular occurrence) and take whatever he had. I mean, he wouldn't have demos, but remember how he used to record the band? We should have more video and audio that someone swiped from him, to try to capitalize on the band in their hey day.

Interesting. You could always tell the final lead vocal was done after the fact but it's interesting to hear what bits were mixed in with that from this version-- notably her vocal at the very end of the song were kept in the final version.

That first "in the drama of the moment" where she harmonizes with Lindsey..... a flash of their exquisite vocal blend that we haven't sadly heard in a long time.

After hearing this incredible duet of FireFlies I am completely baffled they did not continue to produce this song as a duet and then make it even better with Christine singing on it too for a perfect 3 part harmony.

that Gate and Garden demo is just......awful.

Her melody and the words are fine, but that droning, screeching, hideously awful "playing" .....it's like listening to someone's droning car alarm.

I mean, we know she only knows a total of like 4 chords but she couldn't even string together two of them for that noise.:(

Hahahaha That was funny.Atlease it sound different then those mockingbird sound car alarms. .The music part does sound like it was from one of those Casio keyboards like I have here.

Agreed. This Fireflies is wonderful, and as I watched the pictures that went along with it I started to feel very very nostalgic. :) I also love the keyboards in this one too. :) This should have been a produced Fleetwood Mac song, but having it this way is fun too :)

Thank you again to Sandor.

This is a newly surfaced take of Sisters Of The Moon. A very commonly circulated outtake of the 1978 version (featured on the Deluxe Tusk) has castanets throughout and it does not fade out in the end. This new one fades, but its LONGER than the Deluxe 1978 outtake. NO CASTANETS!! I believe this is just a good alternate mix of the 1978 outtake.

I enhanced the sound on all of these new recordings. I could not fix source distortion.

For some strange reason, I actually really like the Gate and Garden demo... It's so simple and bad that it has a really innocent quality to it.. It's also one of my favourite songs so I'm naturally biased.
