Mine has been relatively uneventful but today I went to the dentist because, over the last few weeks, I've been having issues with my gums --- bleeding, soreness, loss of gum tissue. And when he examined my mouth, he discovered that the upper right side of my mouth has a lesion that goes from teeth four to six. And because he's not sure what is he had to refer me to an oral surgeon for a possible biopsy.

I hope it is nothing serious, good luck with your results..
2 things:
My wallet, with over $500 in it is either lost or stolen
And dog got hit by a car a couple of days ago, lucky the car screeched to almost a stop before too much damage was done..

Allergies stink. Lately I've been taking Benadryl like they are Pez. I have my appointment on Monday. I got my fingers crossed that they don't find something serious.

I had She's So Unusual and played it nearly every single day. Some 30 years after it was released, I still enjoy it. I hope you have fun at the concert! :D
I have one question: what seats did you get? I hope they aren't the nosebleed ones.

My week is going sh!t. My rat Romulus died at the weekend and yesterday I lost one of my ducks (Kim) to a fox. I'm not too concerned about the rat as they only live a little over 2 years and he was well passed his time. I'd had Kim for about 7 years though so that was a hard one to take.

I'm sorry Fuzzyplum. Two weeks ago I also have lost my cat. When they've been part of your life for so much time it's hard to not having them with you anymore.

I got a phone call from my son-and-all today. He told me that me that he and Sarah (my oldest daughter) went to her cardiologist appointment and were told that she would have to undergo a catheter ablation to repair her atrial fibrillation. As a parent, I'm completely terrified, filled with utter fear that I might lose her. I wish I could take her place!!!! I don't know what I'd do if the unbarrable happened!!! :distress:

I'm sorry for your daughter. It must be scary for you to see your daughter needing treatment so young.
But have faith, nowadays medicine has made giant steps, all these procedures are micro-invasive and the risks for complications are minimal.

I love how medicine has advanced, but when it's your own child who has to go through it, it is quite scary. She will turn 36 on September 19. She got married on June 28, 2010 and had her first child, a daughter named Melanie, born last year on Halloween. She has so much to be around for, and I pray to God that she gets past this. Thank you for your reassuring words, Sisternightroad.

Sarah, (my daughter), went into sudden cardiac arrest yesterday and was unable to be revived.
I've always known this was a possibility due to her heart condition. I have tried to perpare myself for this, and I didn't think I would be schocked --- I was completly wrong. You can NEVER prepare yourself at the death of a child.
I can't even begin to express the emotions that are pulsating through me right now. Her passing doesn't even seem real.
I'm going to be away from the Ledge for a bit, while I process this tragedy.

What has helped me in the past was thinking of what they would want me to do, which would be to go on living and to be strong, and maybe daring to believe we would see each other again somehow. And to think good thoughts of/toward them that they not be weighted down in any way by our stuff going on 'down here'.
Hugs!

Even though my heart is swollen with pain, reading all of these comments warms me and makes me smile. With the support and love from my wonderful family and from my friends (including you crazy Ledgies!), I know I will get trough this incredibly difficult time.
Talk to you guys later,
