7 songs you would take on your island.

[jbrownsjr]

You can only pick 7 songs. I know you will hate me. But only 7. Choose wisely from any era or group/solo/live, etc.

1. I'm So Afraid (Mirage Tour LA Forum)
2. Over and Over (remaster)
3. Sisters of the Moon (Mirage Tour La Forum)
4. Songbird (Live Tusk Deluxe Wembley)
5. Isn't It Midnight (Original Album)
6. The Smile I Live For
7. If Anyone Falls

nice and diverse. i wouldn't be nearly as diverse. in no particular order (and this is hard, i need at least 4 more spaces, so i'm cheating by dividing :p):

straight album tracks:
1. Second Hand News
2. That's the Way That Love Goes
3. In Our Own Time
4. Turn It On
5. Gone Too Far
6. Down On Rodeo
7. Underground

covers:
Love Minus Zero
To Try for the Sun

alternative versions:
Walk A Thin Line (alternative Tusk)
So Afraid (One Man Show)

unreleased:
The Singer Not the Song
She Smiled Sweetly

[Macfan4life]

Oh come on now. This is the most impossible of all lists. But I will try ;)

Bella Donna - I will need inspiration to stay alive on that island
How Still My Love - I want to stare at the stars "in the still of the night"
Why - my heart will rise up with the morning sun each day ...remember not to give up
Nothing Ever Changes - will need something to rock and keep my blood pumping
Warm Ways - I will need cuddle music ;)
Straight Back

1. Enchanted
2. Sleeping Angel
3. Why
4. How Still My Love
5. Over My Head
6. The Chain
7. Gate and Garden

I don't know why Gate and Garden isn't liked very much.

[AncientQueen]

But it's okay to have about 80 songs from other artists there, isn't it?
1. Bermuda Triangle, live - nothing better than this fantastic song about diappearing ships when you are on an island.
2. Hypnotized from "Bermuda Triangle" - even on an island, you'll need to chill sometimes.
3. Tusk - because it is Tusk.
4. Hold Me (Early version) still new and fresh and really good to my ears.
5. The Chain - "Listen to the wind blow, watch the sun rise" is exactly what I want to do on an island.
6. The Challenge by Christine McVie - a hopeful song about a ship!
7. Angel - for a million reasons.

If I could only take one song, it would be Angel.

[StreetAngel86]

Albatross: 'cos it's based on the sea
Rattlesnake Shake (Live): If you're marooned on a desert island and only have 7 songs you might as well make one of them a long one
Why: As has been said; What better way to start the morning?
Warm Ways: For the desert island vibe
Tusk: When I start losing my marbles and go mad I'll stomp around a campfire singing Tusk
Silver Springs: 'cos it's nice
Empire State: If I listen to it often enough then maybe I'll start to like it. If not, I'll sing Tusk

[AncientQueen]

Hahaha, now that is a great idea. I would take "Mystified" for that. Would be a long stay on that island before I'll like it :).

[Hawkeye]

1. Oh We'll (peter version live)
2. Rhiannon one of the many perfect live versions from the 70s)
3. Tusk (great call on the including songs that are perfect for going crazy fuzzy)
4. Sisters live mirage version
5. The chain stevie solo demo/keep me there combo (I stick by this loophole being fair, since the 2 of them together are technically the original version of what we know as the chain and I want both of hem more on my island)
6. Mable Normand
7. Bad Loser

Even some Chiffons don't like that song. I love it.

[secondhandchain]

When I see you again
Seven Wonders
What makes you think you're the one
Silver Girl
Welcome to the Room Sara
Running through the Garden
Sugar Daddy

I picked these seven because I don't want to live on a deserted Island and I'd need the courage to off myself.

I love it, too. My favorite song from RAL. :D

The Chain

[BaronVonBielski]

The Chain
Second Hand News
Go Your Own Way
Crystal (1975)
Oh Daddy
Rhiannon
Tango in the Night

[24karatstevie]

I'm only picking songs on studio albums from 1975-1987 because if I start trying to include solo or other eras I won't be able to choose! So with that said in no particular order:

Dreams
Hold Me
Sara
Gypsy
Angel
Say You Love Me
Beautiful Child

Honestly this could change as soon as tomorrow haha I have too many favorites

[HomerMcvie]

Think About Me
World Turning
GYOW
Why
The Chain
YMLF
Sugar Daddy

[Angel75]

I would never be able to just choose 7 if I considered solo, B/Nicks or before 1975 too so FM only goes like this:

Beautiful Child
Blue Letter
Sara
Angel
Say you love me
Crystal
Tusk

[NotonRodeo]

1 Big Love
2 Little Lies
3 You Make Loving Fun
4 Dreams
5 Go Your Own Way

Hmm, that was the easy part, but let's try this:

6 Come a Little Bit Closer
7 Over and Over

[Roxy]

1. The Nightmare
2. Love Will Show Us How
3. Bare Trees
4. Keep On Going
5. Planets Of The Universe [Rumours Demo]
6. Caroline
7. Emerald Eyes

[jmn3]

The Chain (Mirage Tour Video)
Go Your Own Way (Live 1980)
Silver Springs (The Dance)
Gypsy
Songbird
Hold Me
Rhiannon (live from '76 or '77)

[24karatstevie]

I've decided to post again. This time with my 7 favorite live songs from the Rumours 5:

Sisters of the Moon (Mirage Tour)
Silver Springs (The Dance)
Rhiannon (Midnight Special)
Go Your Own Way (Rosebud Film)
Landslide (The Dance)
