This board is very civil. Everyone is very respectful.
I belong to a cruising message board and fights break out so often just over cruising and cruise ship reviews. Many times the moderators have to delete the entire thread.
No one should be afraid to discuss anything. Politics included. I love the stories of couples, or husbands and wives who drive together to the polling place and each vote for the other candidate, sort of cancelling out each other's vote. That's love. That is respect.
No one is more independent than me. I used to be a democrat in the late 80's, then independent, then republican, then independent again, and republican again.
Both parties are more alike than they want you to believe. Each use wedge issues to sway easily swayed voters with emotion.
As Ron Paul says....one party believes in really really big government and the other party believes in really really really big government.
This was the year for a good third party candidate. I just don't think I could vote for any republicans these days and am going to change my party affiliation again. I live in Florida so my vote really counts ;)

Good post.More friction/fights and hot topic discussions in the Rumours threads then here where we would expect it.I try the best to stay neutral on the candidates here.I think John McAfee is running under indie like Ross Perot. It will be interesting when the conventions go on and they will turn the tables and end up with different candidates that we have now in the line up.

I still find it troubling that Hillary might win. Will anything be different if she wins? Probably not. But like I said in the other thread, Hillary is a paradigm of the kind of people we need to get out of positions of power. She's an elitist, corrupt, career politician. I'm tired of those people running the country and stealing our money. Not to mention Hillary is involved in several scandals right now, is that not foreshadowing her presidency?

Yes, but their oddity makes them actually more appoachable, people think they aren't dangerous and let heir guard down and then it's when they gain the upper hand.
You have to think that the more something is simple the most people will like it. Politicians that use a communication style that's under the average, with very simple (simplistic in this case) concepts and words will appeal to that great slice of population that has an education and/or a critical sense under the average levels.
And you find yourself with a premier that appoints a showgirl "minister for the equal opportunities".

This election comes down to a man baby vs career politician.
I could be wrong but the demographics of the United States have changed so much over the past 10 years, I am betting on the career politician.
One interesting thing we can discuss is who do you think will be the running mates of Trump and Clinton. Here is my guess (I am usually always right). Ha ha
Trump - Joni Earnst (sp) Senator from Iowa. She checks all the boxes. She is a woman, she is a tea party candidate to sure up conservatives, she served in the military so she can talk about the military, and she is from a swing state. She would be the ultimate attack dog against Clinton.
Clinton - my bet was always on Sherrod Brown of Ohio. He comes from a huge swing state. He is left of Clinton and is a champion of unions, something Clinton is lacking. But Clinton keeps getting weaker, she may have to go further left to lift up the base. This is a base election so that will really count.
What do you guys think?

my observation is trump will win there are too many poorly educated ( trump's words not mine ) crazed 'murican who do not understand politics and and will vote for his based on him feeding into their fears and ignorance , playing to their prejudices of anyone non hetro , non white and not born in this country .
the only thing that will save us from this is the educated republican who votes for Hilary

Mr Trump 64.2%

Bernie 57.8%

Hillary 42.2%

Some of you probably think that I like Mr Trump.I do like Mr Trump.I'll be surprised that he and Hillary did not get tossed out from running. The problem with Ms Hillary is that she has to much crap that she was or is involve in.I do agree that she has the political experience to do the job.Mr Trump has zero experience in politics and he can use his business background to keep him going. I cant say to much about Bernie since I did not finish studying his background.
I have a funny feeling that some thing is up at the conventions and they will come up with a set of new candidates on each side since Hillary has her issues from her past life and Mr Trump turning things upside down with the rep party.
So in November .Who knows who will be running.

To put it simply:
Hillary will just keep being a corrupt politician
Bernie thinks billionaires are bad guys so we need more government to limit people's success
Trump thinks we need more billionaires and less government to boost the economy.
In my opinion, I think people should get to enjoy all the rewards of their labor. Most successful people worked very hard for their success, they deserve to enjoy everything they work for.
we have a person who thinks Americans should live as worry-free about their healthcare and education as Danes.
we have a person who thinks that people who work extremely hard, yet they can barely make ends meet, should not pay more taxes than extremely rich people who may work just as hard.
we have a person who opted to be a public servant instead of making tons of money in private sector.
we have a person labelled as crooked on the basis of mud being thrown at them by opponents for decades, so now it's being perceived as truth whether or not that's the case.
we have a person who throws out several lies per day while calling others liars.
we have a person with questionable business practices, who is vindictive and threatens everyone who doesn't kiss their a$$.

You are correct but Trump is a carnival barker and snake oil salesman. He has no idea how government works. He changes his positions every day. CEO's also would make the worst presidents. They are used to getting their way 100% of the time. We are not hiring a reality TV personality. We are electing a president. Sadly low information masses are so discouraged they don't care. We laugh at Maduro in Venezuela with everyday his conspiracy theories and outrageous statements. I see Trump the same way. He tries to bully and demean people instead of seriously talking about issues. That is what Maduro does every day in Venezuela. We don't need a 3rd world dictator as president of the United States.

Not sure why you mentioned Hillary Clinton since I never mentioned her. If you are attacking liberals than Trump would be your #1 target. He donated to Clinton's Senate campaign and praised her work. Prior to running for president Trump called your favorite liberal Bill Clinton. Trump wants a very liberal protectionist trade policy unlike free market conservatives. Trump called Bill Clinton his favorite living president.
See I am about core beliefs, standards, consistency, and vision. Trump has none of these things and he is not conservative on any issue.
So I just don't get it. He wont release his tax records because A) It will be found out he is not worth what he says he is B) he pays a lower tax rate than most Americans, and C) for his wealth, he donates almost nothing to charity or D) there is a hidden bombshell. We all know he is rich so what is he hiding?
To show how much a scammer Trump is, did you see the list of judges he wants to appoint to the Supreme Court? The judges are related to conservative talk show hosts or members of congress that hate him. No one takes him serious about this. Its all a scam reality show. Imagine if Clinton listed potential Supreme Court picks of husbands/wives that hated her. Its so transparent. Maybe you run a reality show like this but we need someone to look out for the best interests of the American people.

The first step in creating a dictatorship is the total collapse of the social classes due to poverty and disoccupation, then the massive use of propaganda and above all the use of terror as a tool of control.
Mussolini didn't disarm the citizens, he founded the blackshirts that were open for everybody and in which was "highly recommended" for the citizen to enter and enabled the members to the indiscriminate use of strenght to mantain the order. If anything Mussolini spread the use of arms and violence.

I sense some confusion and bitterness and huge assumptions because you think Trump is nuts that assumes you are with Hillary. I don't think both President Bushes and Mitt Romney are voting for Hillary. I love to talk politics but how come some cant stick to issues and must only insult or name call or get into conspiracy theories. No wonder this country is in trouble and produces the candidates it does.

In Europe, as a rule, gun ownership is heavily restricted.
We don't have the gun crime of the USA (which is up there with the murder capitals like Honduras and other Central/South American countries).
As a rule, we don't tend to have dictatorships in Europe.

One interesting issue is the Trump people don't want to talk issues but want you to defend candidates you are not associated with. That has no logic but is a shame because I am always up for a good discussion. Then again, I am sometimes foolish to believe everyone is an adult here. If you are a child or teenager maybe that explains it to attach twitter rants to my posts that have no association. LMAO :)

So as a British person, I would like to know what the general American concensus is on the outcome. I won't say who I would choose but what I will say is that, as extreme as Trump is with his ideologies and policies, do Americans actually think that he will beat Clinton and become president?
Here in the UK we don't seem to know what Americans think on the whole so I'd love to know! :)

As I mentioned earlier ,it is just an observation, there are too many poorly educated Americans who do not understand how politics work that will be voting for Donald Trump and he will because of that become president of the United States.
Also there was a small amount of people who will vote just to see how much of his crap he can actually pull off as president

Gun rights screenings with mental problem people that need to get checked before getting a gun. Some people take it either way some dont understand him and some do.I will trust Mr Trump more then Hillary and maybe Bernie running the country which Hillary maybe screw up worse then the current admin has..I'm so happy that he is turning the tables and opening up 40 to 50 years of BS what the idiots put us through. I guess I will be one of the uneducated idiots if I make my mind up and vote for him.I cant wait for all the people that were involve with the scandals pop up about you know who.

Wow! That's the question. After working a few gigs in Europe in the past few months amd having people asking me, "What is going on?!" The dumbing down of America has been a success! How people don't see that the POTUS position is many things, above all, it is the role of a statesman. How someone ran as a whim and ego driven - not to mention trying to get local, state and federal "favors" for personal/business gains, is an actual canidate is mind boggling. Bernie has been an Independant for his entire career and decided to run as a Dem. Congress will not work with him. He has that repution and track record. Promising free stuff to young folk in college hits the right sound in the right ear - and what he "sees" as the utopia is what we all want. However, practically, will not ever get accomplished with the minutia of Congress.
I'm not going to get into the 40year+ resume of Hillary. The extensive work for women and children is vast. The 'scandals' peeps bring up have run to a dead end. Ken Starr found that out. All that happened was he managed to impeach Bill for getting a bj. The media formulated the illusion of scandals.
And btw - the whole speaking at conventions 'thing'. That's BS. Almost ALL keynote speakers speak without scripted remarks. There is no script. The roll records are 99% of the time stopped. There will never be a transcript. Just last week, a guy who climbed Mt. Everest had in his rider that roll records be stopped. And they made a movie of his story! Trust me, there are no secret speeches to 'special' groups from anyone. I work about 40 corporate shows a year and have to sit through a gazillion boring speeaches, including those keynotes. Nothing there folks.
I've worked with the top two candidates - and, let's just say, I like the vibe of one more than the other.....
So..... After that loooonnngggg winded answer...... Many Americans are scared witless that Drumph is so close to being POTUS. And just as scared that we know and love people who support him. Baffled amd confused we are.
Everyone has their opinion - this is mine - I do respect opposing views - however, I'm not going to get into any beat down about this.

I agree..I do support the 2nd amendment as long as the people get a FULL complete background check before they get a weapon .One problem we do have is a law abiding citizen that has obeyed the laws all the sudden goes nuts over some issues in his or her life and goes out in a rampage and kill family members or stranger for no reason. Its like a time bomb waiting to go off.I do agree with Pres Obama on getting stricter mental health background checks for people with the problems.

ALL the above is true if that's your perspective. What we say or what most say doesn't really matter. There's only about 11 states that DO matter and most of us DO NOT LIVE IN ONE..................Its called the Electoral College. So, in light of this, the key states this year will be PA, FL and maybe NY or Connecticut and NH. The rest simply do not matter. Hillary could sweep the west and parts of midwest, BUT if she doesnt win at least OH, PA and FL, it doesnt matter.

It sounds a bit like a similar situation here in the UK at the moment;
We will soon be having a referendum on whether to remain in the European Union. It seems like a very large proportion of people (though not all) that want to exit the EU are of fairly low education and can't really give a decent, coherent reason as to why we should leave. 'Cos Europe's bad innit? We should 'ave our freedom innit? We are getting too many foreigners coming here stealing all our jobs innit?''
The 'exit' campaigners have used this to their advantage- their basic arguments for leaving the EU are puerile and appeal to the vacuous.
Sadly, the pro-EU lobby are countering this with their own inane arguments. An intelligent debate about the pros/cons of EU membership/exit would be much welcomed. Unfortunately it's descended into playground fighting and name calling.

I think all three are definitely not to my personal liking (as a non-voting Canadian). Is there any chance of a third more centrist party down there? Bernie is extreme far left, Hillary and Trump both pander to fringe/fanatic types, Hillary has lots of strings on her too from a past of gaining 'qualifications'... under duress I'd pick her though by the cv/resume on paper, but it'd be kind of like hiring someone you know you can't get along with for a job opening where only weirdos have applied.
Hillary just blew it with the guns comments I think, we'll see. Americans have chosen freedom and that includes arming themselves, nobody is ever going to dial that back very much and succeed. Trump was unintentionally funny though when he was pandering at the NRA thing about his sons having so many guns it 'scares even him'. What a doof!

Periodically the Northern League in Italy proposes to exit the EU too. It's the most extremist party that is extremely racist towards not only European and non-European immigrants but also most of the mid-south Italy as well. They want to separate North and South Italy and they're mostly old and uneducated or very impressionable people.

Yes .Me too. I've been following the protesters on YT the last couple of months. .Yes It seems like Bernie's fans are the worse.More likely the Hillary supporters are keeping low until Bernie is out of the race .They can go after and bust Mr Trump's nuts when the crap hits the fan when its only two of them.At that point who knows were Bernie's supporters will move over to Hillary or go 3 party or dont vote at all .I know they wont move over to support Mr Trump after fighting over him.I was at the Hartford Trump rally a month ago to see how it was and both side were behaving and no arrests were made .Most of what was happening there was alittle heated discussions .A couple of people on bull horns saying their piece. There was no trampling on police cars and stoning police horses. It was very interesting going to see a part of history in action and I had fun going there.

From the Italian Huffington Post:
Why comparing Donald Trump to Silvio Berlusconi is wrong
Italy observing the rise of Donald Trump has often the feeling of watching an old movie, so strong is the impression of déjŕ-vu. A lot, in this matter, recalls the time when Silvio Berlusconi - who also came from the estate and show business world, was obsessed by the effect his hair had over others - appeared on the political scene and has troddened it like no one had ever done before, with cunning and grotesque ways, fascinating and upsetting the audience in equal measure with its simplifications and exaggerations.
The parallels between The Donald and The Cavaliere (=Knight) are so numerous that American journalists are regularly turning to Italian media to learn more about the phenomenon and to try to understand its meaning. Usually they ask Beppe Severgnini of Corriere della Sera, a former correspondent of The Economist - who knows English. Severgnini is a brilliant interpreter of Italian-ness, which normally, in his columns and in his books explains why Italians are as they are.
A recipe against demagoguery and populism
But when they call Americans, Severgnini does not just make the exegesis of Berlusconi, the original: he also advises US public opinion who cares about the problem what should absolutely be done to prevent the copy, Donald Trump, from really rising to power. The list of rules dictated by Severgnini sounds like a recipe against all the demagogues and populists of our times, applicable almost anywhere:
Do the opposite of what we did in Italy.
Do not demonize Trump as we have demonized Berlusconi; Do not obsess or be hypnotized by him, for you'd only reinforce him.
Resist the temptation, even stronger, to consider him a comic character.
Do not take him too seriously even when he says the unsayable: it is only to attract attention.
Rather force him to put in practice all the objectives that he lists. In short, force him to be boring.
Do not think that his populism will fall on deaf ears and he will not be elected.
Italy shows that usually voters are in favor of new policy proposals, to new versions of the story, without taboos, presented in a dramatic and politically incorrect ways. That was the case twenty years ago and now the temptation is strong again.
Even on the level of style the two are very similar. Like Berlusconi, Trump flaunts his business achievements. He sells himself as a maker of dreams, as a living proof of the fact that wishing and working hard anyone can be able to have a lot of money, beautiful cars, beautiful houses and beautiful women. Of course these are hoaxes, neither of them is made by himself in the classical sense, but this did not affect their version of the tale, and for many their wealth is proof enough.
Italians also, at the time, said "Berlusconi has so much money that he will not steal them to us." It is true that, as billionaires, both Berlusconi and Trump are moving to the upper floors of the establishment. But they also pose as outsiders and champions of the common people. They urge the base instincts and feed the desires for revenge that in another scenario could turn against them. But for both the consistency of their ideas it does not matter that much: the image is more important.
These, therefore, are the similarities between the two. They may be impressive and stunning, but the differences are even more significant.
Trump had to win a party during the primary elections. Berlusconi has made one of his own
In 1993, when Berlusconi decided to "take the field", the first Italian Republic was in ruins. The politicians who supported him, helping him to build his media empire, had been overthrown by Tangentopoli. To protect his business and himself by the judiciary, for Berlusconi almost nothing was left but going to Rome to obtain the political immunity.
But to rise to power he did not need to win a party like Trump had to in the Republican Primaries and against the whole leadership of the Grand Old Party. Berlusconi simply builta new party of his own, stealing forever the Italians' battle cry that has become its name, Forza Italia (=Go Italy).
Seen the emptiness and the political crisis of then, it was easy to bring together the Right around him. But he had an easy game especially because, as well as daily and weekly newspapers, he was also the owner of three national television stations that were the platform to his propaganda, entering into people's minds and acting as jackhammers.
Nothing to laugh about
Trump does not have a similar power in the media. Okay, in the past he appeared in a television program in which he played himself, proving in that circumstance to have appreciable qualities of showmanship. But it was only a show, in fact. Instead Berlusconi was the show: it was him, always and everywhere, the means, the director, the message and at the same time the messenger. With his broadcasting stations he could mold to his liking and convenience the public. And that whirlpool pulled back into the abyss all the other channels, including Rai (=Italian Radiotelevision).
Three times Berlusconi has managed to become Prime Minister. He ruled a total of nine years. Italians continued to vote for him - and it still amazes - even when he had already given proof enough that he had failed as a leader, as "chairman and managing director of Italy." If Trump became president of the United States he would have much more power than Berlusconi has ever had: he would have decision-making power to press the fatal "red button". In other words, the world could even laugh at Italy under Berlusconi, but under Trump noone would feel like laughing about the United States.
Neither of them cares a lot about the virtues of man respectable, indeed
Recently someone asked Berlusconi what he thought of the fact that Trump has been dubbed "the Berlusconi of America". He cleverly replied that everyone is free to make the comparisons they prefer. "To me," he added, "Trump looks rather like a hybrid between Salvini and Grillo." A phrase without the intention to please. As for Trump, however, it seems that Berlusconi sits well with him. "He's very nice," he once said: "He is a decent man." Neither of them cares a lot about the virtues of the respectable man, indeed: sometimes you have the impression that the lack of respectability is for them a useful political weapon.
The most picturesque advice Beppe Severgnini offered to the Americans goes back to last fall and came out in The New York Times, when it still seemed possible to prevent the rise of Trump: "Do not buy anything from him," he urged to those who were attracted by his rhetoric. "Behave as if you were in front of a talkative salesman cars: make him a lot of questions, and expect concrete answers. Open the hood, check the brakes. And absolutely do not let yourselves be convinced to do a test drive. Trump would be able to trigger the locks of the doors, up to speed and crashing the car into the nearest wall. "

You're welcome. This article was different from all the others that stress the similarity between Trump and Berlusconi so it immediately caught my attention. I remembered that you and another ledgie (I think Penguin-head?) were of Italian ancestry.
Also Berlusconi was (is) much say it like it is, I still remember when he called Angela Merkel an "un****able fat-ass".
Yes, the scariest eye-opening moments are when you realize what your parents would want to do in your place. My mother is very Right wing and sometimes she likes Trump. But she comes from a very conservative family, her grand-father was a royalist. And my father's family has always been communist.

I like to know what are they teaching in school these days .Nevermind the lack of parenting.

Hillary Clinton’s 2008 campaign chair, Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe, is currently under investigation by the FBI and Department of Justice over questionable contributions to his 2013 campaign. According to a recent CNN report, the investigation—which has been going on for at least a year—calls into question Mr. McAuliffe’s service as a board member to the Clinton Global Initiative, a subsidiary of the Clinton Foundation. A $120,000 donation from a Chinese businessman, Wang Wenliang, made through U.S.-based businesses, raised red flags with investigators—along with several other donations, like the $2 million he gave the Clinton Foundation.
Governor McAuliffe is just one of several close associates to the Clintons currently under investigation for corruption. Ms. Clinton’s 2008 campaign co-chair, DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, is under immense pressure to resign thanks to her favoritism for Ms. Clinton throughout the Democratic primaries. Ms. Wasserman Schultz essentially tipped the scale against Senator Bernie Sanders, a violation of the impartiality her position at the DNC demands. Prominent Clinton supporter and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio is also under review as part of an ongoing federal investigation into two businessmen with close ties to the mayor. The Podesta Group, implicated in the release of the Panama Papers, was founded by Tony Podesta and Hillary Clinton’s campaign chief, John Podesta. Several other prominent donors to the Clinton Foundation have also been linked to the Panama Papers, and the Clinton Foundation itself has been frequently cited as a source of money laundering and exchanging political favors for large donations.
It comes as no surprise that Hillary Clinton’s closest associates are involved in a litany of ethics violations as corruption has been the modus operandi of Ms. Clinton’s campaign for the entire duration of the primaries. Hillary Clinton has publicly vocalized support for campaign finance reform, yet owes much of her success in the primaries to the current corrupt system, which enables her to fundraise unethically, bending and possibly breaking current campaign finance laws. The Hillary Victory Fund, a joint fundraising committee between the Clinton campaign and the DNC, was recently revealed by Politico to be laundering money to the Clinton campaign to circumvent campaign finance laws. Mr. Sanders’ campaign has also highlighted additional violations and ethical breaches made by the Hillary Victory Fund.
“The financial disclosure reports on file with the Federal Election Commission indicate that the joint committee invested millions in low-dollar, online fundraising and advertising that solely benefits the Clinton campaign,” states a press release from Mr. Sanders‘ campaign. “The Sanders campaign ‘is particularly concerned that these extremely large-dollar individual contributions have been used by the Hillary Victory Fund to pay for more than $7.8 million in direct mail efforts and over $8.6 million in online advertising’ according to the letter to the DNC. Both outlays benefit the Clinton presidential campaign “by generating low-dollar contributions that flow only to HFA [Hillary for America] rather than to the DNC or any of the participating state party committees.”
In an interview with Think Progress, two campaign finance experts emphasized that what the Hillary Victory Fund has done is unprecedented and should be illegal.
“Their argument is usually that it helps the party generally, but the practical and legal reality is that it benefits Hillary Clinton. You just don’t expect this kind of thing to happen in the primaries,” Larry Noble, with the Campaign Legal Center, told Think Progress. The article noted that this type of fundraising has only been legal since 2014, when the Supreme Court, in the McCutcheon v. FEC ruling, revoked what legal protections in campaign finance law remained after the 2011 Citizens United ruling.
The Democratic National Committee has completely disregarded the democratic process by colluding with the Clinton campaign to simultaneously raise funds for itself while helping Hillary Clinton secure the presidential nomination. The Party should be pushing to reform campaign finance law—not embracing policies that allow wealthy individuals and corporations to buy off elections. While a few members of Congress push to get big money out of politics—most notably Bernie Sanders—the Democratic leadership has only strengthened its ties to wealthy and corporate donors who have hijacked the party for their own interests over the progressive agenda held by voters identifying as Democrats.

HILLARY CLINTON’S use of a private email server while secretary of state from 2009 to 2013 has been justifiably criticized as an error of judgment. What the new report from the State Department inspector general makes clear is that it also was not a casual oversight. Ms. Clinton had plenty of warnings to use official government communications methods, so as to make sure that her records were properly preserved and to minimize cybersecurity risks. She ignored them.
The 83-page report declares that “beginning in late 2005 and continuing through 2011,” the department revised its Foreign Affairs Manual and “issued various memoranda specifically discussing the obligation to use Department systems in most circumstances and identifying the risks of not doing so.” Ms. Clinton didn’t.
During her tenure, State Department employees were told that they were expected to use approved, secure methods to transmit information that was sensitive but unclassified, or SBU. If they needed to transmit SBU information outside the department’s network, they were told to ask information specialists for help. The report said there is no evidence that Ms. Clinton ever asked, “despite the fact that emails exchanged on her personal account regularly contained information that was marked as SBU.” On June 28, 2011, a cable was sent to all diplomatic and consular posts over her signature warning that personal email accounts could be compromised and officials should “avoid conducting official Department business from your personal e-mail accounts.” At the time, Ms. Clinton was doing exactly that.
On March 11, 2011, an assistant secretary sent a memorandum on cybersecurity threats directly to Ms. Clinton, noting a “dramatic increase” in attempts to compromise personal email accounts of senior department officials, possibly for spying or blackmail. That didn’t stop Ms. Clinton either. There were also numerous notifications that some emails (but not all) are considered federal records under the law and that she should print and file those in her office and, before leaving office, surrender all emails dealing with department business. She did so only about two years later, in December 2014.
The Inspector General's office said on May 25 that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's use of a personal email account was “not an appropriate method” for preserving those emails. (Peter Stevenson,Sarah Parnass/The Washington Post)
Starting in 2009, there was a new, electronic system, known as SMART, to properly archive department emails without having to print and file them, but Ms. Clinton opted not to use it, out of concern that there was “overly broad access to sensitive materials.” According to the report, after a staff member “raised concerns” with another official about Ms. Clinton’s personal email server, the staff was instructed “never to speak of the Secretary’s personal email system again.”
The department’s email technology was archaic. Other staffers also used personal email, as did Secretary Colin Powell (2001-2005), without preserving the records. But there is no excuse for the way Ms. Clinton breezed through all the warnings and notifications. While not illegal behavior, it was disturbingly unmindful of the rules. In the middle of the presidential campaign, we urge the FBI to finish its own investigation soon, so all information about this troubling episode will be before the voters.

Hillary Clinton’s campaign for the presidency just got harder with the release of the State Department inspector general’s finding that “significant security risks” were posed by her decision to use a private email server for personal and official business while she was secretary of state. Contrary to Mrs. Clinton’s claims that the department had “allowed” the arrangement, the inspector general also found that she had not sought or received approval to use the server.

You can bet that Donald Trump and the Republican campaign team will endlessly hammer Hillary over this...It might go something like this..."As Secretary of state "Crooked Hilary" significantly jeopardized the security of the United States by the using her private computer to e-mail sensitive government documents...She couldn't be trusted as SOS so how can we trust her as President"...Donald will also tell us that he has posted links to the Inspector Generals report on his web site...

The heat is on but that's the way it should be. We're talking about the US Presidential elections, there are few elections that can have such a global influence. As you said both politicians and businessmen are particularly sly. If we think about it even all the most loved presidents at some point or another have been discovered to have used their cunning.
But these elections are different. Businessmen are the baddest choices for rulers; a lot of people think that if a country is run like a successfull business then it will be the best. But a country isn't a business, education and healthcare would be the first to be damaged. Statistically when there is war, the political orientation of the masses tend to lean more on the conservative side. This could be scary.

I give props to Trump for cheating the system. The government cheats us every time we get a paycheck. The Feds need a taste of karma.
Bizarre
It's the whole point of having a country. It's the whole point of having a society.
Everyone pays their taxes in to get infrastructure, law and order, health, education, fire brigades, military protection etc.
How does your government cheat you?
The less tax Trump pays, the more the burden rests on the little people.
People like Trump cheat you.

Not to mention that if a regular citizen doesn't pay an economic transition tax the loss is around the hundreds of dollars, nothing to worry about (unless we're talking about millions of people not paying, but that's another story). If someone like Trump or Hillary doesn't pay the loss is like they say around tens of millions of taxes that could have gone to hospitals or education or public services or scientific research. You can build an important facility with those money. That's why left wing politicians wants to rise taxes for rich people.

I quote you.
Here apart from the question of the borders he could be even a Communist. But the term in America has another meaning than here.
More specifically if he's a believer until twenty years ago he could be defined a "democratic christian", the party that unified Christian values with democratic/socialist values.

The bridge gate thing problem with him probably did not help him. I'm still alittle confused with that issue with him. .Mr Trump pulled out of Atlantic City years ago when he saw the handwriting on the wall when the casinos were loosing people because of other states like here in Connecticut ,New York and other states allow casinos to operate.Of course Mr Christie was not Gov then and he probably would give Mr Trump a hand down there before he left.

I see some of the videos on Radio talk show hosts Alex Jones Youtube page. Its horrible. Some of these protesters are professionals and get payed for by elites and other organizations and going out and stir up things.Others are just uneducated. It was interesting that Bernie was getting the blame on some of these protests which turned out that Hillary was the blame and behind them as I read from good sources.

One thing I thought I knew about conservatives was their dislike of victims... but Trump seems to me the biggest whiner in a long time; everyone is unfair to him, conspiring, a rigged system, 'Mexicans' out to get him etc. I think most people think "Awwwww, the poor billionaire". I'm really sick of this guy now. He referred to some basketball coach as a "real man", I'll bet that guy never whined a tenth as much in his life!
Bernie whines a lot now too (maybe he thought he saw it working for Trump). They both play the man card using weak vs. strong terms a lot. So "strong" these men (because polls gone to their heads). Wouldn't want some weak woman in charge, no way... unless to change their nappies before they get put to bed for being so darn cranky. :D
Violence at political rallies is a hallmark of a third world country by the way. It seemed to start with Trump rallies and his provocative blustering in violent suggestion, then spread to that Democratic thing in Nevada... I hope things don't continue to get stupid like this. All three of them are whiners .I agree with that. I dont know alot about Bernie's history though buy I never was a fan of Hillary when she was the first lady of this country.I've known Mr trump since the early 1980's when he was on the Tele' with Robin Leach's Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous show and Entertainment Tonight and the rag mags plus being at his casinos in AC when he owned them.Sorry to say so far he is the only one I believe that he can do the job in office.I will make my mind up in November .There are the third party options too .I do have to agree with Bernie and The Donald about the delegate issues.Something going on there.

A lot of Trump's support is from decades of this global economy thing, corporations that are beyond nations with their outsourcing to wherever is cheapest (there has even been government restrictions passed making governments have to go with whatever is cheapest). Putting cheap as the bottom line ala Walmart is a race to the bottom. It's too bad that like Ross Perot before him he would simply be unable (like Jimmy Carter before him) to work within the system and be prevented from changing it. Carter used to think he could simply say something as Pres and it would be done. That's how some companies work, but would you want to run a country like a private company? Like a Walmart or Nabisco for example? My goal is balance and the middle, but compromise has become a dirty word for many even though that is basically what governing involves every day. The Clintons were ground zero for bringing the U.S. into the trans national too big to fail globalization scheme, unfortunate that some conservatives, enough, were bought out by that and followed. I rarely understand the personality cult thing for any politicians, from the supposed kennedy allure to all the Gipper stuff. I prefer to 'hire' boring but competent, not necessarily grand visions and promises. Maybe there should be a Boring party? :D
P.S.: I'm very pro-life but don't fit in because I want government out of that area as much as possible leaving it to the people directly involved within the limits established to make such decisions. I can't begin to imagine how many complications and factors there might be in every situation. I'd probably be making birth control pills available free everywhere no questions asked too, it'd be more than worth it because the numbers of abortions genuinely does bother me. I'll never understand the people who are horrified by abortions but deny the realities of sex that has always been and want to withhold birth control measures in any way. I don't understand the religions with a made- up celibacy thing not in the Bible who think they have the right to tell sexual people how to proceed based on being addressed as the 'fathers' and 'mothers' they will never be. If only the church hadn't wanted land so much and made that rule up for the purpose of acquiring it, they've done so much harm in developing countries and caused exponential additions to the numbers of abortions of desperation and economics.

Probably not...even if she loses here (California) tomorrow she will still get the nomination and the Presidency. Trump appears to be self -sabotaging I guess he is being true to who he is but if he even cleaned it up halfway he might be able to eke out a victory over a damaged Hillary. If he continues on his course no.
