ok, I think Stevie should play the Ryman, b/c Nashville is the top city to live in, and OF COURSE, Stevie recorded the great, very great, album in Nashville! I am not dreaming, I really think she should play that album Everywhere! ok, just saying...

I agree 100 percent.I wish she collaborated with Lady A or Charlie on the Grand Ole Opry.

As someone who has lived in Nashville for (ahem) 30+ years, I wholeheartedly agree! The Ryman would be a perfect venue for her. She could even do what most "legacy artists" of her era usually do which is play two nights on a row.

I don't follow trends and I hate buzz words/ labels so I have to ask .

What is "Legacy Artist " is it new for Oldies Act Like when Macaroni Salad became pasta salad ?

There are so many cool places now in Nashville beyond Ryman, like Franklin theater, winery, war memorial, and smaller venues. I haven't been to the Ascend, or many outdoor venues, but I do hope to hear the 24k live before she goes on tour w FM!!

Very true, but the Ryman is like our sacred musical mother church with SOOOOOOOOOOO much history, so I just think it would be fitting for her since she's never played there.

 I think the term "legacy artist" is basically just a nicer way of saying "oldies act", although I think some people would argue that there is a strong delineation between the two in terms of sales and success. As in bands or artists like Fleetwood, Stevie, Kiss, Zepplin, McCartney, etc who had "platinum plus" album sales on many of their records would be considered "Legacy artists" while others who were maybe one hit wonders or not popular for very long but still tour today might be considered an "oldies" act.

And then other people consider an "oldies act" to be a band that tours year after year without anything new to promote. In which case Fleetwood Mac has been guilty for a long time! LOL!

It's all in the eye of the beholder.
