I love this track. It is a great radio driving track. It's produced to the hilt with one of the best musical intros she has ever had. The lyrics evoke Laurel Canyon in the 1960s, a free spirit hippie feel and a definite Joni Mitchell influence. It makes me think of the Manson Family women. I think it's one of the best sounding tracks she has ever had. If it was the mid 80s, it would of been played to death on rock radio.

I never cared much for the demos but this song really grew on me when it showed up on 24KG. Love it.

BF is my most played song in iTunes. I got hooked early on and I still love it. The section leading to the instrumental break and then back out "sunset sound..sunrise.." is one of the most amazing things I've heard from Stevie in awhile.

Love the opening... I would always be like, "what song is this?" when it would come up in shuffle.

I also love the words, and how the lyrics continue the Lady from the Mountains alter-ego motif from Sorcerer and Moonlight. I just want to dance around a campfire with all my female friends to this song.:p It really takes you somewhere. I will dance with you, Stevie!:xoxo:

Belle Fleur has grown to be my favorite song from 24k, and is really the only one I actively seek out to listen to from that album anymore. I just love that rocking intro & outro; it's like a time machine back to the glory days of 1970s classic rock. To me, that very masculine riff beautifully offsets the very feminine lyrics; proverbial leather & lace! I just love those lyrics, too- they are downright feel-good and sunny for Stevie. To me, the combined package is just a lovely little polaroid of the 1970s California rock scene.

That is an excellent way to describe it. Perfect. It's a perfect pollaroid of that hippie time.
