Yes, Mick has been talking to the media about a girlfriend this past year. For the past 35 years, his relationship with Stevie has been more like best friend/sibling.

Keep in mind, there are also multiple pictures of Stevie cozying up to Sting and Andrew Lloyd Webber last night, too. There are similar recent pictures from London of Stevie velcro'd to Adele and Florence Welch, as well. That's just how Stevie takes pictures with celebs.

Yes, it was certainly a suspicion I had. Mick seems to be with her everywhere. I'd have though as soon as the tour was over he'd be back home doing his own thing for a while. I'd have imagined Stevie would have wanted to be away from the band- and that's no disrespect to them all but when you've spent so much time with people as soon as you get the chance it's nice to have some space. They would certainly make a better couple now than they did 35 years ago (at least visually). If they were a couple then perhaps thats a reason for her apparant participation in the album???

Right!? And she did that article in… was it Vanity Fair? The one where she said that when she needs a break the place she goes is Maui, isn't that where he lives? And I realize that she holds everyone's hand, but he seems to be EVERYWHERE she is. Someone put a video on youtube recently of her leaving an airport, probably getting home from touring, and he was with her even then.

Yeah don't think they're a couple. They seem to just enjoy each others company. Besides Mick has a girlfriend (not that that is relevant, as we all know what Mick was like) and Stevie has said multiple times in past recent interviews that if she were to have a lover one day he would have to be much younger.

Btw, Mick's daughters are lovely looking ladies. I remember looking at a picture of them a year ago and they looked so tiny.

Speaking of his vision for the musical, Lloyd Webber suggested that the musical would feature more on the stories of the children than the film, stating "It has to be a bit more rounded. I'd quite like to know more about the children and their parents." Speaking about the music he explained the need for additional music rather than simply using the film's full soundtrack: "you can't do heavy metal for hours and hours in the theatre – everyone would be screaming. So they have to be theatrical songs too. And we've obviously got to use the iconic songs from the original show. It would be a shame not to do a Stevie Nicks song.

Is Edge of Seventeen in this musical like it was in the movie? I love that Stevie showed up for this.:nod:

I actually bumped in to Mick recently at the mall (on Black Friday) and he DOES still have a girlfriend because he mentioned her. Said he noticed me before I even approached him; his girlfriend had just bought a new pair of boots and he saw me and thought "great jeans. Love the boots, she (referring to his gf) should have got a pair like those!" LOL! he also mentioned he's here in LA for 2 weeks to spend time with his daughters and then heading to Maui! So I would think he's probably heading there this week/weekend some time! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Although he didn't mention any names when referring to his gf... Maybe Stevie just got a new pair of boots?! 😉

With that much energy going into the show, which features a mini-rock concert at the end of the performance, it's any wonder Brightman still is much of a morning person. "It's the weirdest combination of exhausted and wired," he explains. "You're wired because you just did a show. But with this one, you just did a show and you also did a rock concert. Your brain is going, 'OK, where is the after-party?'"

But now, it doesn't stop when the musical is over. In April, Stevie Nicks surprised the audience with a lively rendition of "Rhiannon" while backed by the show's talented performers. And Brightman says it's only the beginning. "That was the first time we attempted that and quite successfully," he says. "We have a couple of things lined up." Though he won't say who, the surprise after-show performances will fall in line with Nicks, whose music is featured in the musical, and Jack Black, who Brightman says has interest in returning to the show to perform. "It's just something we want to offer artists: 'Want to play with some of the best musicians on Earth right now? Surprise, they're 12,'" he says.
