Don't mean to add another thread but I was just wondering who people would rather hang out with in the band? My favourite has always been Stevie but because I'd like her to stay that way I think I'd avoid hanging out with her for a long period of time. John seems nice enough but I don't know too much of his current personality. Lindsey seems mellow these days but considering his past anger issue I think I'd rather not. Mick looks like someone you could have an interesting conversation with at least. However, i think I'd pick Christine. She seems like such a lovely and real person. Plus she has a great sense of British humor that I can easily understand. She is like an average joe (in a good way). :blob2:

More likely Stevie here since she brought me to the band 40 years ago.
I would love to hang with the rest of them to.I would get technical with Lindsey with recording technics and shoot the breeze with Mick about his restaurant and other goodies ,John about boating.Chris on teaching me some keys.
No doubts whatsoever....Stevie ..I would love to hang out with her, without her entourage though....
I'd love to go shopping with her, to buy some really expensive NEW clothes. Not black and not with peep-hole shoulders....elegant, with a hint of Boho would suit her...

Stevie since it's my favourite lady but Mick comes second since he's a gentleman and seems the friendliest.

I would love to hang out with Stevie too but I have that "don't meet your idol" fear.
I'm sure she's really a goddess though

Christine, or John.
Their british humour kills me.
Stevie - yes and no. She is probably a fun loving sweetheart, but I like my Stevie mysterious.

1. Lindsey, especially circa 1976 (wink wink, nod nod)
2. Christine- I'm also one of the guys, so I feel we'd get along, and I also like British humor
3. Mick- although I feel he'd wear me out after awhile, especially in the 70s
4. John- it'd be interesting to hear more of his side of the story, but we'd have to stay away from politics
5. Stevie- I feel she'd annoy me in any decade

John's conservative, I'm liberal. If I was hanging with these guys, I'd want to have fun, not argue.

How do you know John is conservative? Regardless of his views, John seems too laid back to get in a political debate or argument. I could be wrong though.

Christine all the way. I'd love to just hang with her for a week. We could talk, discuss challenges to creativity, drink wine--and I would be treated to her hilarious, dry wit.

I agree, he seems laid back, and it would be awesome to hang out with him. Just avoiding sensitive topics. I doubt most people would want to hang out with FM just to debate gun control issues.

Guns are good. I recommend getting one, shooting is pretty fun if you've never tried it before.
I would hang out with any of them, I'm sure each would be a cool experience. I would want to hang out with them any time between 1977 and 1982. I would love to be there for the crazy cocaine and Dom Perignon days.

What do you mean? I enjoy guns. My dad has had guns my entire life. I've been going to the shooting range since I was 16. I'd like to talk guns with John. Wasn't he arrested at some point for having coke and illegal guns or something?

To say 'guns are good' is ridiculous. They aren't.
There are plenty of people in France right now that would certainly disagree with that statement.

I hope we don't get off topic for too many posts. If people in France were able to have guns they could have at least tried to protect themselves and others from what happened. But they were defenseless. I correct myself, guns are not good or bad, they are just inanimate gadgets. It's the person holding the gun that makes it do good or bad things. Innocent good people should not be forced to be defenseless against evil when stuff like this happens. Evil like this should not even exist in the world, we should all be able to live peacefully, but since it's not like that, good people should have the power to defend themselves against evil. Whatever form the evil is in, whether it's something like what happened in Paris or someone breaking into your house or the government becoming too powerful. It's wrong for a government to say society doesn't have the right to protect and defend themselves, but the politicians still get to have armed guards.

This is just wishful thinking. It's statistically proved that a person that owns a gun is much more likely than an unarmed person to engage in violent behaviours.
Also a person is much more likely to engage in violent behaviours after having become a gun-wielder.

'inanimate gadgets'? ... if you were refering to a house brick them I'd agree but guns are specifically created to kill.
If guns didn't exist in the first place there would be no need to defend oneself. Guns are not good things.

Christine all the way, followed by John.
I've had a handgun "carry permit" for a long time, and haven't carried one for years. Until NOW. With all the campus and movie theater shootings lately, IT IS TIME. If you think not being able to protect yourself is the wisest choice, enjoy your fate if you're unlucky enough to fall victim to one of these scenarios.
I was never comfortable with the large handguns I own, carrying them. So I went out about a month ago, and bought a Smith and Wesson "Bodyguard". It's a small(er) 380, with a laser sight. It fits comfortably in the back pocket of my jeans, and isn't much larger than a wallet(not visible in my pocket as anything more than a wallet). I intend to carry this on me, every day for the rest of my life. And I pray to god that I never have to use it.
John's conservative, I'm liberal. If I was hanging with these guys, I'd want to have fun, not argue.
same.
for hanging out, just Lindsey and Christine for me. i like intelligence and dry wit, which both of them seem to have in spades.
i really have no interest in meeting any celebrities, but these two people are an exception.

He was quoting the "I got blisters on my fingers!" at the end of Helter Skelter. He attributed said quote to Mr. Lennon.... :distress:

I like this thread. Its easy for me. Christine all the way. I would even pay for such an experience to just sit down with only me and Christine with a bottle of wine and talk. I would love to hear about the early days and the tours. She has a great sense of humor too which would make it even better. If any band member wrote a book, hers would be the best. I also think John would be a great interview too because there is such untapped information there. He is the least interviewed member. I would love to hear all the old stories from him. Stevie would be fun too but she exaggerates so much about stuff but that is her nature. I would LOVE to interview Lindsey but not hang with him as much as Christine. There are such big questions for the rebel Lindsey. I would love to hear in his own words about the time he told the band he was leaving and Stevie attacked him.
I am not sure why some brought up politics. That would NEVER come into any conversation I had with any of them. I could care less where they stand on political issues. I think John is wonderful for doing the Clinton honors while being a republican. I cant imagine Ted Nugent performing for Obama  I suspect Christine is conservative too. The only clue to this was her online chat from 1995 when asked about Bill Clinton using "Don't Stop" in the campaign. She said she was honored the song was used but she would never have voted for him.

The one thing I would love to know about the band members, all of them, if I got the chance to hang out with them would be who they were before Fleetwood Mac. In their own words plus I've always wanted to know what is in Stevie's diaries.

Lindsey would be 2nd. Mick then Stevie then John.

Absolutely Stevie! She's basically my favorite person in the world, so it seems only logical! And I really want to just go out dancing with her lol. I certainly wouldn't mind hanging out with Lindsey either... I'd basically just stare at him and his gorgeousness all day. And I definitely wouldn't be opposed to hanging with Stevie AND Lindsey together! Chris would be fun too but my heart of hearts is set on becoming bff's with Stevie one day! LOL

I have LOVED, ADORED, and WORSHIPPED the High Priestess, Stevie Nicks, since I was 8 years old. For the better part of 37 years, I have bought every product she's produced and attended her concert tours with passion and great enthusiasm. That being said, at my age, I'm not sure I could stand to hang out with her for more than a few hours. I'm not sure I'd be able to get a word in edgewise. Needless to say, I'm sure our conversations would be mostly about "Stevie", "Stevie", "Stevie".
I have a cousin that I LOVE and ADORE. My cousin is the only person I can have a two-hour conversation/dinner with where the ONLY thing discussed is HER life, HER experiences, HER dreams, HER desires, HER art, HER dynamics, HER existence, etc..... Ooh, honey, give me a Xanax and let's call it a night. I JUST don't have the patience anymore.
SO, I guess it's ME, CHRIS, a piano, and a bottle of wine. Carry on, love !!!! (PS. Tell Chris to bring the cigarettes and Xanax, I get nervous flying too).

Git outta mah head, J. And my pants were pulled up in that dream!!!!
I've met tons of stars, and for the most part, I couldn't care less.
But if I ever got to meet Chris, I'd probably pee my pants, right in front of her.
The thought of actually being able to sit down with her for a couple hours, and knock back some wine and stories? I could die at the end of the day, and be happy!

Stevie, of course, is who I'd want to hang out with. At her place, wherever she has that "vault" she talks about. We'd smoke a few doobies, throw scarves over the lamp shades, play some demos, dress up in her shawls and do the crackhead dance together.
Fun times!

I wonder who, back in the day, would have been able to drink the most? ( I know its not big or anything to be proud of).
1) John (I reckon he's one of those guys that would have gotten drunk on a couple of glasses and then stayed the same for the next 10 hours no matter how much more he drank)
2) Chris
3) Mick
4) Lindsey
5) Stevie

Those Brits love their booze?(just odd that it was those 3).
Now THAT'S the sign of a serious drinker. If you start before noon, you can't stay awake past 10PM(pure speculation on my part).
