HOLY HELL ... that show was I N S A N E
i aint even going to be able to review this properly
Stevie was CRAZY.
She gave the BEST intro to Gypsy EVER

this show just knocked off ALL my other shows
as my 2nd ... maybe tied for FAVE Mac show ever ... and the standard was already pretty high with a 2 way tie with 2 of my SYW shows :D:nod:

it was all quiet
and stevie was at the mic abt to start an intro
and ppl were yelling out song requests... seriously. ALBATROSS
and i couldnt hear the others
i resisted yelling out Angel coz i was filming
and she couldnt even give her speech
she said we were all distracting her  ... i cant ... she was so cute

sara ... i died
gypsy ... i died
GDW has EVOLVED AGAIN aaaaaaye
landslide ... omg the SnL level of cute tonight ...
RHIANNON OMG ... and SILVER SPRINGS
might have been some of the best in years
stevie was killing the long, drawn out notes

did Linds try to knock off Stevie's top hat?
i dunno
nicole will have to confirm that and that i didnt dream the amount of awesome this show was

i recorded the show if y'all can wait til friday for it coz it needs to be trimmed and i dont have my computer with me

OMG!!
What a show.
It is so hard to believe that after all these years and the trials and tribulations with these members that at their age they can still ROCK IT!!
Lindsey Buckingham has to go down as if not the best but one the the greatest guitar players of all time.
Gold Dust Woman has become the "Must See" song live.
So many highlights and wonderful moments from this show they just seem to get better every time.
So looking forward to seeing the Wednesday and Friday shows as well.
Finally a great big thank you to whoever is responsible for the merchandise.
I maybe $445 lighter but boy did I have fun "shopping":]:]:]

That Gypsy intro was hilarious. I even saw John McVie clapping for her at the end of her speech.

Agreed! Part of me wishes she would have sang "So I'm back to the velvet underLAND..." and made fun of herself a little bit more when they started playing.

Nichole, you've contributed so much to the Ledge, and I am beyond happy that you're being rewarded with a really great set of shows down under. Stevie is sounding amazing!

MUSIC
FLEETWOOD MAC ★★★1/2 Rod Laver Arena, November 2

Like superheroes. Five mysterious individuals with unique powers, reunited against incredible odds to save the free world one more time. Like Kiss with better tunes, Fleetwood Mac is a band inseparable from its own mythology.
There's mad uncle Mick Fleetwood in his eccentric country gentleman's attire, biting bearded lips with bug-eyes rolling. He's an inseparable bloc with his "truly dearest friend" John McVie, quietly plucking bass in the shadow of a flat golfer's cap.

Messianic ringleader Lindsay Buckingham and witch-fairy Stevie Nicks are another unit: eternal king and queen of the Heartbreak High prom, playing up the sexual tension through misty eyes in the whispers of Landslide then re-enacting the finger-pointing rage in Go Your Own Way.

Then there's Christine McVie, returned at last to quietly steal the show with You Make Loving Fun and the gentle coda of Songbird, as if the 22 songs preceding hadn't already made their case for one of the most fertile hit factories of the modern age.
Sure, some of the moves may have felt a little stilted. Tusk wasn't quite the climactic eruption with its marching band horns caged inside a synthesiser. Nicks did duck out of few high notes in Dreams and elsewhere.

But from Buckingham's psychobabbling song introductions and anguished six-string pyrotechnics to Fleetwood's nutty crowd-baiting drum solo, to nearly every damn track plus B-sides of that album, Rumours, the world felt as harmonious as it'll ever be.
