Hey guys,

Does anyone have that skit that they did on French & Saunders doing "Dreams" for viewing or download?? :cool:I never saw them do "Dreams," but I have a skit they did with a song that's essentially a paraphrase of the style of "Dreams" & "Rhiannon" & some others. The refrain in the chorus seems to be "Dream woman/It's just another blah blah blah. . ."

I still like the "burrito" version of Dreams that Lucy Lawless did on Saturday Night Live back in '97. Classic stuff.

I just found out last week that I actually have this on video. I think the 'song' is actually 'Dream Woman'. I was lmao and wondering why the two females looked so familiar. Duh!
I could probably make an mpeg or something of it, but I'd need someone to host it.

Cool! Let me dig out the tape and try to transfer the clip to Windows Media or a very small mpeg, and I'll let you know when it's done so I know where to send it.
Thanks Tiff! :)

Heheheeeeheheheheeeee...isn't that funny! I hope if Stevie has seen it , she thinks the same. The only faux pas, was putting John in the wrong position, next to Lindsey, I thought for a moment , they'd gained an extra guitarist....

HAHAH This is a hillarious british show ..I think, made by a comic duo French and Saunders, it is a parody of the Rumours line-up, haha it is hilariously spot on, and funny how "Christine" tries to get the attention, hahah tell me what ya think!!!

haha i love this, i remember seeing it a few years ago. the best part is they actually created a very fleetwood-macy original song to use as a parody. i love when christine falls, and john is asleep. very, very funny and creative!

i think this is a little longer than the other one i saw...thanks for posting.

One time somebody wrote down the fake lyrics she was singing. Without youtube, I would have no idea who French and Saunders were. I have never seen them on television.

Its a British show- I don't think its really been shown here, except maybe on BBC America or something. Have you ever seen the Vicar of Dibley on the PBS Britcome lineup? Brilliant show. Anyway, Dawn French (?) is the Vicar.

As someone has already said it's a British comedy sketch show.

Both Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders also appear in their own shows. Dawn French is probably most famous for The Vicar of Dibley and Jennifer Saunders for Absolutely Fabulous both of which are very funny indeed.

I loved that show... These two are a riot. We used to get it as a weekly show here in Canada years ago....

I like how the words make absolutely no sense at all, but the odd Stevieism is thrown in so that it makes complete sense.

This could have been lame, but it was hilarious. Christine's neuroses is so damn funny. I like when she messes up her own hair, a move I've seen her make in actual shows. Lindsey, however, appears to be exempt from the ridicule.

I've seen it many times before but it's still hilarious. Did you guys know that "Stevie's" voice is actually "Christine's"?

Reminds me of the photo shoot. She had to keep mussing it because it would get flat. Lindsey and Stevie helped her fluff it.

I love it! John falling asleep and Chris falling off her chair were the best parts! And that song there sounded like a combo of Dreams and Rhiannon if it was put on Tango in the Night

I don't really see how you can compare SNL to French & Saunders, British and American humour is just too different

The episode is Season 4, Episode 4 of their series. As far as I can tell it's an episode called "In Bed With French and Saunders" and it aired in 1993.

As far as the Mick Fleetwood thing goes, I can't remember where I read it now but I do remember reading that they used actual footage of Mick for the sketch.

I love French & Saunders!! Hope they haven't really retired

They aren't funny anymore. Their movie sketches are just lazy and devoid of laughter. Even the can couldn't be bothered to laugh...

I was wondering how I had never seen this before also...although I don't usually search for FM spoofs so I guess that's why. It's totally spot on like you said and just made my morning!

I had never seen that before. That was good, but why wasn't John back in his spot by the drums? Also they could have spoofed Lindsey a little bit too.
