It's unfortunate that the disc omits all but one song from the Rock a Little album that were performed. Aside from "Talk to Me," she performed "I Can't Wait", "No Spoken Word", and "Has Anyone Ever Written Anything for You."

Those songs would have given the disc some distinction beyond the usual standard fare. Disappointing! I don't consider this to be a part of her official discography. It may be a legal release, but Stevie and her management likely had no involvement with this.

I picked this up while in London last fall - not quite sure when it was first released in Europe. Stevie is high as a kite, the vocals are...exactly how you'd expect them to be, and the sound quality is not great. That said, I couldn't resist purchasing.

My favorite part of the recording remains Stevie's hilarious stage banter. At several points she seems genuinely surprised that she's performing in front of an audience, and as a storm rolls in, she observes "aha! as Rhiannon approaches it's beginning to rain, alright!"

The live recording on the "Beauty and the Beast" album is the same live recording on the "Dreams" album. Why do that?

Here it is:

The only live album I've bought is the House of Blues CD, most of the others have awful sound quality and hideous cover artwork. It's a shame that Stevie didn't release a live album in the 1980s. There are a lot of budget live albums for sale that don't do her justice. I would love to see the White Winged Dove Tour released on DVD. The show was her at the peak of her powers. She needs a quality live DVD and album available for people to buy. Live at Red Rocks is far from her finest moment, the US Festival DVD is dire and Live in Chicago is disappointing.

It makes me wonder why Fleetwood Mac has never released anything from the Rumours and Tusk eras on DVD. There's a lot of professionally shot concert footage from the 1970s that's not available to buy on DVD. Were any shows on the Tusk Tour recorded in full? What about the St. Louis show? They could release various performances along with the Tusk documentary. They could also release the 1977 Japanese concert footage along with all the backstage footage that's on YouTube. Live at Capital Centre is another. I would love to have all of that on DVD. I guess it depends on who owns the footage. I'm surmising that a lot of it has been uploaded on YouTube by fans.

We discussed about all these things months ago on this thread: http://ledge.fleetwoodmac.net/showthread.php?t=54636&highlight=largo+1983&page=2
Actually Stevie was to release her Landover footage on 1983 but never actually did probably because she was too high.

You're completely right, this is what I have always asked myself but I came to the conclusions that probably the band and stevie has very little control on their live footage, maybe they don't even remember about its existence.

I would not mind if these CD/DVD's are crisp clean video and sound then not from old 4th generation VHS /cassette copies which some of us have in our collections or crappy Youtube footage's.

I figure that Amazon selling this CD.They sell anything even the unofficial HBO DVD years ago which was probably ripped from VHS copy.

Her complete US fest performance probably be sold on Amazon if its not already on there.

They are cashing in on her since shes now out and about with FM.

Well I saw this album in my local HMV store about a year ago so it's been sold here in the UK for a while now.

If this is from the radio broadcast then much of the above info is incorrect...

The "Westwood One" special was recorded 8/15/1986 at the Cayuga (not Cuyahoga) county fairgrounds (just west of Syracuse) in Weedsport NY...

Copies of the broadcast shouldn't be hard to find...For free...

Then it's the soundboard of the 15th of August? It's totally available for free on IvoryKeys complete with Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You.

If you watch ebay the "Westwood One" vinyl that was sent to the record stations (remember them?) pops up every now and then...

Any news if this charted on any vinyl charts? It probably didn't because of little to no promotion.
