Okay... We all have at least one
- Unconditional Love
- Listen to the Rain (I know only the first part just so I can skip it)
- Docklands (are you noticing a trend)
- Anything from Behind the Mask (except for The Second Time)
What About You? :wavey:

Whole Lotta Trouble...didn't like it when it came out, still don't. It's the one Stevie song that for whatever reason makes me recoil.

Nothing with FM. And nothing from BD or WH.
Some Become Strangers, If I Were You. Unless I'm listening to the RAL album in full, I just totally forget they exist. I don't dislike them, I don't skip them when they do come on, they're rather hooky, but they're just not "Stevie" songs, they're filler from other writers. Same thing for Cry Wolf.
Docklands, Listen to the Rain, Un. Cun. Dishunal. Love. (all pretty much skips). Love is Like a River ( skip). Maybe Love Will Change Your Mind. (I might let that one play sometimes; her vocal is just a bit of a mess) Kick It. Jane. (ughiest of ughs). Both skips.
It's Only Love. Too Far From Texas. Every Day. (I'll usually let them play if I listen to the whole album but totally forget them otherwise).
I guess the theme is the stuff she doesn't write/co write tends to leave me disinterested.
On IYD, Ghosts Are Gone and New Orleans.

There are many songs that I don't like, songs that I hate, but I rarely skip anything. I mean, since I stopped playing vinyl 45s, I usually listen to entire CDs and if a song is on a CD, I don't skip it. The only exception is Cheaper Than Free and if it didn't come last, I probably wouldn't skip that either. The way it's sequenced at the end, it's really easy to pretend the album ended with Italian Summer.

Cheaper than Free

I Still Miss Someone
Just Like a Woman
The Highway Man
i don't not like it, but i never listen to Nightbird :sorry:
Jane uuuuuuuugh man the album version sucks
I Don't Care/Carousel/She Loves Him Still/Hard Advice

Gate And Garden. I haven't listened to it since 1983. After the first couple of times of listening to the whole album when it first came out, I used to jump across the room to move the needle to the next song as soon as it started playing.
Also, the entire Rock A Little album.
Extending this to FM, I cannot stand Not That Funny. I just do not have the patience for it. Also Everywhere, which I see as self-mocking and pure crap with nothing to say, just another Christine basking-in-the-afterglow piece of dribble, and the wimpiest one at that.
And this is coming from someone who loves Welcome To The Room...Sara, When I See You Again, and Jane!

I rarely listen to her songs on OSOTM, Street Angel and Behind the Mask. I do like some of those songs, but I just don't listen as often as I do all her other songs/albums.

Rock A Little album and the meh-tracks from FM.

I've listened to them all at least once, but I don't know a majority of Street Angel and OsotM very well.

Stevie's cover of "Crash."
Stevie singing the line "I hike up my skirt a little more ... a boy's dream." At her age, I just can't ....

I "honestly" listen to everything. I listen to an album in its entirety. There is nothing so egregious that warrants a skip.
There are far most perilous sonic assaults at hand, like listening to a 22 minute live performance of Sister Ray by The Velvet Underground. Only a seriously loyal fan can make that kind or commitment.
In comparison, Stevie's songs are a cakewalk. Even if they aren't her best, I can find some redeeming quality, whether it is her voice, the lyric, the melody or just because it's so uniquely Stevie. I warm up to her clunkers for the fact they are the misguided, unfortunate disfigured outcasts in her world.

That's really a nice way to put it. Each song has some importance to her, otherwise it wouldn't be on the album in the first place. So while though I don't necessarily listen to each and every song, I appreciate them for why they're there.

I have only ever listened to these once:
- Jane
- Kick It
- Just Like A Woman
Because they're all truly hideous. Never want to hear them again. I don't really know the lyrics to The Highwayman either, it's too slow for me.

I don't think I have ever heard "Desert Angel" (I've never owned "Timespace") or if I have, I don't remember it. Guess I should listen to it now, huh?
Otherwise, I've pretty much heard everything else she has written. In regards to the tracks I hate...
EVERYTHING from "Behind The Mask"
"Whassa Matta Baybay" from Tango
SILVER GIRL!!!
"Barney & Friends" (Cheaper Than Free)
"New Orleans" (Anne Rice's Dream)
"I Still Miss Someone"
"Love Changes"
"I Will Run To You"
ALL of the dance remixes to "Planets Of The Universe"
85% of the Street Angel album and it's B-Sides...
...and that's about it.

The first time I heard "I Don't Care" I thought 'Hmmm ok I kinda dig it' but halfway through the next listen I decided I... didn't care for it. Other songs I never listen to/get through: Cheaper Than Free, Soldier's Angel, I Can't Wait, Sister Honey, Fire Burning, Docklands, It's Only Love...

Agreed. As much as I ADORE Stevie's falsetto, this song is too oversaturated with it.

Love's A Hard Game To Play is really the only one I can't stand.
I suppose that song, as well as Sometimes it's a Bitch were not songs she sought out to record, but was persuaded to record by executives for purely for commercial incentive. It is surprising that Stevie, who is so strong-willed, is seemingly forced to follow through with these to these ill-advised strategies.
The songs are just okay, but so obviously contrived. It's perplexing that Stevie didn't have the motivation to delve into her own time/space and record, along with Desert Angel, two more of her own self-penned songs.

There are a few songs (demos) that I am not overly familiar with. But all recordings I have heard a million times. I think Desert Angel is a fantastic song. Its a small highlight in the Klonopin years. Maybe I am old and remember the context of the song. But it was arranged perfectly. It has a military drum beat that is so cool. And Stevie writing about world events was unheard of. I wish she would have sang it on the TimeSpace/Whole Lotta Trouble Tour.
Love is a Hard Game To Play is pretty good too.

I was gonna say that I'm a rare Stevie fan who's not all that gaga about Belladonna but in looking over the track list I realize that I do listen to a lot of the songs from it. It's really only The Highwayman and Kind of Woman that I never really listen to. Also, Docklands and Street Angel. But other than that I pretty much like all her other songs.

I know pretty much everything back to front and inside out with the exception of "You Can't Fix This" and "Crash Into Me" from Soundstage.
I've never made it through the whole of 24kg, because I think it's terrible. But I at least own and have listened to those songs more than once.

The Dealer turned out terribly. I know the song well from the demo, but nothing about the new one makes me want to listen to it.
I don't know much of OSOTM and Street Angel. I gave them a couple of spins when I became a fan. I also don't know half the demos and bootlegs I used to own. I'd download them to just to have them/upload for other people, but never listened to all of them.

That's a hard question, I listen to tons of music and Stevie isn't the only artist in my playlist anymore for ages, but after some thinking it has been ages I listened to the complete Street Angel-album ...
Those songs aren't just it! With an exception of Blue Denim.

I don't listen to I Don't Care, I think it's pretty rubbish.
It also goes on for about 3 minutes to long, so I chopped the last half off and now it fades around 3:50 which is much more manageable (and I sped it a bit, it plods a bit).
It's improved the song, but I still don't listen much I think the song is crap!

Terrible song, made worse by the fact that she rocked out to it so hard in the instagram teaser. She doesn't even have good taste in her own songs. :D

I love Desert Angel. I think the arrangement and lyrics are fantastic...Yeah, her vocal is kinda zonked out but that song has such sense of slow menace. I is indeed a highlight from the otherwise lifeless Klonopin years. Can't agree with you however, on Love's A Hard Game to Play. I've always detested that song but then again I don't think she wrote any parts of it so there you go.

I sort of agree with you. Stevie could sing the phone book, and I'd listen. On occasion she goes astray, but I still go with her. Nothing she sings makes me turn away.

Most of Other Side Of The Mirror and Street Angel if I'm honest. I only really know Rooms on Fire, Whole Lotta Trouble, Long Way To Go, Doing The Best That I Can, Blue Denim and Greta from those albums...
Desert Angel and Love's A Hard Game To Play are also strange songs to me....

Yep basically that! I mean, sure there are things that she does that I think "wellllll, that wasn't great." But still, it's Stevie so I choose to look past it and love it anyway!!! :)

I think the whole album turned out pretty terribly. Most of the songs are actually quite good, but the rush job and lazy production ruin the whole experience. It's so badly produced and mastered - all the vocals sound distorted and the band sounds like it was recorded in a shed.

I'm not a fan of most of the content on Street Angel, and im not a big fan of most of the things Dave Stewart produces (some stuff on 24KG, IYD and especially Chepaer than Free)
