In February 1980, while Fleetwood Mac were touring Australia promoting their double album 'Tusk', Stevie Nicks came into the Countdown studios in Melbourne to record a brief interview with host Ian 'Molly' Meldrum.

and so frizzy!

as a person with naturally curly (brown!) hair, I shudder to think how little we had available in terms of hair styling products in those days to get rid of frizz.

In true 80's style!
Stevie looks good in pastel colors, she should wear them more often.

That photo there reminds me of Susan Richardson on 8 is Enough TV show.

Back then everyone had feathered or permed hair in any lengths.

I've always thought that Stevie's hair in 1975-1976 resembled Suzie Quatro's hair:

Yea .I always like Suzie and her tunes too.In the 1970's almost everybody had Farrah hair.

I noticed Molly is wearing a almost Beatles hairstyle in the interview.

Suzie with Chris Norman was a great pair up in 1978 with this hit tune.

God,she seems so sweet and down to earth, just like RD says she was.And did I hear her say "thank you" when complimented on one of her songs?I haven't heard her say that to an interviewer for a long time.Usually she just goes on and on about how important or how "fantastic" it is.It seems the "life" has hardened her but I can understand how that could happen. What a shame......:distress:

she's in her 60's and knows the impact of her music now! should she still feign to be an ingénue? then you'd accuse her of being disingenuous.

No - I would then accuse her of being a lovely, talented woman who hasn't forgotten where she came from and who truly appreciates her success and her fans while still remaining unfazed by it all.Y'know, kinda like Christine.......But I respect your opinion even if it's wrong.....;)

Lovely video!
Speaking of Stevie's perm in the video, even if it was less legendary than the Farrah feathered hair it was still very popular.
Another awesome rock lady that used to rock it at the time was Ann Wilson:
