Anyone know the link for the interview where Stevie mentions the infamous house fight she and Lindsey got into when he left the band in the late 80s? The one where she talks about him chasing her and throwing her on top of the car? Just curious, thanks.

I don't know. Look under Rock Family Trees, as your search terms.

It's on YouTube in 5 parts, featuring some quite bitter comments from Bob Welch and Stevie. And also, Stevie's hair is ridiculous. Look for "Rock Family Trees: The Fleetwood Mac Story"

Fast forward to 8:20 when they start playing Sara. Someone didn't do their homework.

Coz she went over and physically "attacked" him... grabbed him or hit him or whatever. he reacted pretty violently to it.

True but it sounds like after that he literally chased her down to try and kill / beat her up... That's a pretty violent reaction. I've beat someone up before in self defense but would never run AFTER them...

Stevie is so overly dramatic. No one was trying to kill anyone. She attacked him first (her admission) and, if he so desired, could have easily have attacked her then and there. The chasing up and down the street (if that really happened) was a way of blowing off stream so it wouldn't happen. It takes two tango (in the night) and both were as equally responsible. And before you said WAIT but she's a woman. She started the whole physical alteration (her admission) so you can't blame him for not sitting there and taking it, especially after their turbulent past. Women can be just as violent as men can be. Unfortunately, this is the way domestic violent works.

She went after him in a burst of fury, and he responded in kind, though it does sound like if she ran out of the room and then out of the house to get away from him he should have let her go.... perhaps she pulled the tail of the tiger and the tiger went a little over board..

Side note - the blue lamp (the glass lampshade part) looks more like the "green lamp" in this interview. Lighting, perhaps?

I true man - a true gentleman - can take a confrontation with a woman and still treat her respectfully. Whether she started it or not really doesn't matter... I forget who said it but there's a quote that says true character is defined by reactions not actions.

That being said, I can't imagine the emotional pain these two must have been in after this. They are the reason Fleetwood Mac is who they are, and Fleetwood Mac made them. Their lives revolve around each other, and for someone to just leave... I couldn't stand that. Not that her actions can be justified in any way, but the pain... It probably never goes away.

Yes, maybe I'm just thinking of Races Are Run and assuming that he's swifter than he is, but I do tend to think that if he was actually trying to catch her, he could have gotten to her somewhat faster.

And a TRUE lady wouldn't have attacked him in the first place. Just saying it can go both ways.

This has got nothing to do with being a true lady and a true gentleman, which I believe both are. They were absolutely not in control of their emotions, just part of being human.

Thanks, that's exactly my point. There are people on this board who like to keep rehashing the couple of incidents that (may) have happened, over many years, that paint Lindsey as a violent person. Stevie herself recently stated that “He and I will always be anatagonizing to each other, and we will always do things that will irritate each other, and we really know how to push each other’s buttons. We know exactly what to say when we really want to throw a dagger in." If you know that someone has a capability to be violent why would you "throw the dagger in" and instigate a altercation? People on here love to paint Stevie as an innocent victim and keep bringing these past events (that we don't know what or if they really happened), which in fact are personal issues and nobody business anyways. Although I'm sure things happened over the years, Carol and Stevie can hardly be considered reliable sources for accuracy. The whole topic has a very trashy and tabloid element to it since we don't know what really happened and it is really not anyone business but the people involved anyways. All of this devalues the wonderful music and legacy of the band yet it keeps getting brought up in discussion. I'm actually of fan of both artists and not taking sides but the topic of really old.

This has got nothing to do with being a true lady and a true gentleman, which I believe both are. They were absolutely not in control of their emotions, just part of being human.

well, but Lindsey in his own way gives credence to many of the stories, at least as regards Stevie (I don't think he's ever uttered a word about Carol's claims). He admits kicking her onstage, he admits pulling his jacket over his head and mocking her onstage, etc and he admits it was hard to "do the right thing" on her songs in the studio (which she has said.. there were times he didn't produce some songs well coz he was pissed at her). Even in this current RS article he says his emotions over their relationship impacted his "temper"…. so…. yeah, he's never gonna come out and say "I have/had an anger management problem and I acted it out physically" but the fact that he owns up to at least the most public events and that he was often pretty eaten up with anger --which is saying a LOT, for him, about this stuff-- then you begin to think well, there's got to be a lot more we aren't privy to and that no one has talked about or will talk about. John has been a lot more open about not being nice to Chris especially when drunk. Lindsey's only even acknowledged it in later years and after what truly seems like a lot of therapy. Look, he doesn't have to say sh$t about it to us, it's between him and Stevie, but he knows it's out there and has owned some of it.

He didn't say he kicked her onstage. Stevie said he kicked her "or something." None of the band members initially seemed to know what he did exactly, but I think they realized he was holding a guitar at the time, so "kick" is what they guess at, because he didn't have use of his hands.

Stevie later said Lindsey threw the guitar at her and she jumped and missed it.

What Lindsey said to Mojo was along the lines of 'if I did that then ...'
