In the commentary for Carousel, Stevie mentions Vanessa taking a picture of their dog sitting on her mother's lap as she's died. And Stevie says the "picture is in the record". I have the booklet here in front of me and can't find anything like it. Does someone have more insight or the actual picture?

Ooh, thank you! I saw that picture but it's so small I couldn't make out if it was THE picture. It's all the way at the bottom-right.

i find it morbid that the picture is basically of a dead woman's lap. Eww.

She may not have passed away yet, when the picture was taken.

I remember reading how Melissa had Joan Rivers' dogs taken to the hospital to spend time with Joan, before Joan was taken off of life support. I do think the person knows, even if they're brain dead. I think it matters.

But thinking of your point, the last funerals I have been to have been of older people and cell phones were not an issue, but I hate to think what funerals of young people are like these days, because you know there will be young people in attendance who are not aware of proper etiquette and will want to take selfies at the funeral.

I've already seen selfies like this. Unbelievable.

I think it's important for the pets as well. Pets are known to mourn when their owners pass.

Well, as far as urns go, I have to tell you that I ordered very decorative ones for my father and grandmother. They were meant to be displayed and don't look like urns. My dad's is silver, spherical and matches figuerines that I have. But I don't take any pictures with the urn.
