Stevie and Mick on The Insider

Not sure if this was in another thread so started this one here. Stevie and Mick were interviewed together on The Insider tv (entertainment gossip) show.
It was part of some "Legends Week" and was mostly all about Chris leaving and coming back.
Asked Stevie and Mick whether it was true they never thought Chris would return. While Stevie talked she kept her hand on Mick's arm, and a couple of times talking about Chris Mick did this curious patting of Stevie's hand like trying to calm her down or something.:shrug:

The host narrated some video and talked about the various issues in the band, including "Lindsey's famous tantrums"

Then they mentioned Stevie and Mick's relationship and Stevie said "Mick and I were having a wonderful time" and giggled and ran her fingers thru Mick's beard. She did that several time actually. Very lovey dovey. I think, however, that this was recorded some time ago, at the beginning of the tour.

Lindsey was briefly interviewed, on the same set but separate from Stevie and Mick. A brief question or two with Chris alone also.

except I just watched it and it is NOT the full interview that was on tv. :mad:

like they cut it so it seems like Stevie says "christine could not ride the bus, she's one of the lead singers"

but in the aired version she says more, she says you can't sleep on the bus, and takes too long or something-- like there are reasons why one of the singers in the band can't take a bus and still make it to all the gigs well-rested.

And they only show one beard fluff.. and no Lindsey. Very truncated.

Yes, her mood was buoyant. But the interviewer's final question didn't make it into the finished TV spot: "So Stevie, are you excited to go into the studio and finish the album?" That certainly changed the mood and snapped Stevie from her phony, camera-ready facade. So much so that they're fortunate they had enough tape to use for the show.

Being serious, if they did want a good, celebrity trashy news interview, he should've went there... Would've been much more interesting than the endless Rumours ****.

During the Lindsey part, where he was talking with his eyes closed reminded me of a South Park episode about being 'smug'. They explained 'smug' as someone who talks with their eyes closed and likes the smell of their own farts.

It's not in my best interests to read comments that are posted on sites like these. Unfortunately, sometimes I can't resist. I'm always astounded how some of the posts are so thoughtless, absurd, stupid, ignorant and lack any understanding of humanity. The obscurity of these forums seems to empower and enable some people to be cynical or mean for no reason; everything becomes suspect, with no sense of context. It makes my blood boil. Case in point, this little gem of insight:

So she quit the band because she was afraid of flying? Then, after 16 year of (I assume) not flying, she is back? I don't get it. Won't she have to fly while doing this tour? What changed that suddenly makes flying OK again? None of this makes sense.

This is the standard level of intelligence. To be excepted, many of the nasty comments are aimed at Stevie. Others berate their age. Social media attracts a lot of anti-social behavior. What I find very troubling is that it's obvious that many of the comments come from people who don't know, or barely familiar with who or what they are venomously reacting to. Do they just roam around the internet, with the sole intent to attack and spread negativity at random?

did u watch the link Skip posted? He got the full interview. Mine had some bits cut out for some reason.

And if you really watch, Mick barely can get a word in. Stevie just hogs it all.

Well if that comment is noteworthy for its ignorance, that particular site must not have anywhere near the level of trolling I generally come across on the internet. Sure, the poster is missing something, but at least I'm not ashamed to admit I'm the same species. :D

Well just had my moment with Mick at his book signing. Doing this off my phone as we wait for lunch will do a full post when I get home.

He was quite charming with everyone. He is SKINNY. He's lost a sh&tload of weight. He had NO a$$ to him. I'll see if my pics of it came out well.

Guy running the signing said this and NYC were the only signings Mick was doing in the US. I didn't know that.

He had no big entourage. Just a couple of guys. One stayed at the table with him during the signing and one wandered around. The wandering one was tall and a bit stocky.
All told it lasted an hour and about 200ish people there.

I'm sitting here trying to figure out what Micks "arm patting" on Stevie was all about.Was it a cue for something?Any ledgie ideas?Stevie is very open to alot of things in conversation but she usually isn't about her love life or "affairs" and in this interview she offered up comments without even being asked-just found that odd.Maybe she had a drinky-poo or two or Mick is banging more than his drum these days......
