It was confirmed on Radio 2 Breakfast this morning that FM will be touring Europe in May/June 2015. Information will be on Live Nation on Monday 10th November :]

Mick was also on the show and talked briefly about writing his book.

EDIT.... someone beat me to it...another thread was posted with the same information. Can mods please merge threads - thanks.

Doesn't surprise me, I'm expecting Australia to get some dates too, and maybe even one more swing through the states in the fall of 2015. That means studio time may not occur until after the holidays of 2015/2016. Meaning no album till what maybe April of 2016....

Thats great something is now mentioned for you guys across the pond.

Now I guess if they record and release the new stuff in 2016 while Stevie does some shows to promote her 24K record.

Thats the complete opposite whats happening now .Stevie is promoting 24K while shes with FM on the road.

Mick was interviewed by Chris Evans on BBC Radio 2 this morning.
A decent joint interview with Billy Idol- both have books out.
Mick sounds pretty tired (which is understandable).
They come on together at the 1hr 40 mark.
Nothing of any note aside from the European tour announcement.

Nervously excited about this! Since Mick seems to be selling the VIP tickets via several websites this time and not just his own and in dollar currency, I'm slightly dreading the price for VIP. As for non Mick prices, considering the last tour was up to £125, this time with Chris could be pretty nasty. As well as that, touting is getting worse these days, with ticketmaster promoting, and getting in on the act. Urgh, good luck folks!

No Glastonbury for Fleewood Mac but the band will tour next year

Fleetwood Mac star Mick Fleetwood has categorically ruled out an appearance at Glastonbury Festival - but says the band will tour again next year.

In an interview with Radio 2's Chris Evans, he said the group - loved for their hugely successful 1970s album Rumours, among others - would definitely not be appearing at the Somerset event in the summer.

Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis has already said in the past few days that he has not booked the band for next year.

Fleetwood said today: "One of the things I would like to clear up: we're not playing Glastonbury, and a lot of folks think that we are, so loud and clear that Fleetwood Mac - we love Glastonbury and all the surrounding history of such a lovely festival - but we're not playing it.

"A lot of people that I meet are totally buying tickets for what will be a great show in any case, without Fleetwood Mac. I know that they always have a great headliner, but it won't be us.

"So no bad faith for Glastonbury because it's an incredible festival, I just don't want people thinking we will be playing it, but we are coming next summer."

Speaking about future plans for the group, he said: "We've been obviously on tour in North America and I have had a phone call this morning that I can officially announce that Fleetwood Mac will be touring through May and June in 2015."

Idk what FM is doing, they need to take a month or so off and finish the album THEN finish their world tour. What's going to happen is they'll play Europe and AU/NZ and then release the album (Which is not great for business) They could have a #1 album if they release the album while on tour in the us

Screw Europe? Do you know where this band comes from? And the bandmember that is the main focus this tour? And why there is no album yet? Because one of the two americans in the band don't want to work with the other one?
Amsterdam sold out two nights last tour. 34000 tickets. With Stevie. So don't be so selfish. Australia deserves them too.

I don't think it's an ignorant comment when you have people in that band who admit to snorting 7 miles of cocaine or who used to keep a gram of cocaine in their boot or who just had cancer. Yeah, those type of people have all the time in the world to ponder what they will do next. Everyone always thinks they have more time, but with group I seriously doubt it. They need to get their butts back in the studio - as group or as soloist. They are already rich enough.

For the record, I've lived in two countries that are not the USA and have experienced idiots and ignorant comments aplenty in both. Those phenomena are not unique to Americans, Americans have just had a tendency to be the most visible over the past century. Stupidity/rudeness is a people-in-general thing. You can't let yourself get too bothered.

It's a little hilarious that someone would ever act surprised/outraged that this internationally mega-famous band is touring outside of North America with its most successful lineup on what was always billed as a "world tour". Like, who didn't see that coming? But yeah.

Chances are that WILL NOT HAPPEN...After the 2015 tour Stevie will almost certainly take a 2 or 3 year break from FM and I don't see them (FM) putting out a record and not touring with it so if a new album is not out in 2015 ( before the 2nd US leg or the UK dates) it might not be out until 2018 if ever...

Absolutely. I've visited the States many times and lived in L.A. for 2 years. I've always found most people to be nice, warm, considerate, welcoming and interested to speak with you. Unfortunately there is a small minority that are particularly insular and jingoistic that do not see past their borders and do no favours to their good fellow countrymen and women. I agree its not unique to America, though.

That said, I'd welcome 2 months off to complete the record before the European tour- it would have been great to have them change up the set list and play a few of the new numbers on that leg. Perhaps they'll complete Europe at the end of June and then spend time in the studio with Stevie before an Australasian leg (there's no way they wouldn't go there this time, surely) and return to the US for an album marketing push in late 2015.

Solo time- early 2016.

1: Your beloved Stevie is the one reason they aren't going into the studio.

That's wishful thinking on your part.

A more realistic scenario is that band will take a little break (3-4 months) and then will go back into the studio to finish the album (which would probably take six weeks, tops). Stevie will give the band three to five songs. Fleetwood Mac will probably only be off the road for eight months at most. Stevie could easily do the second 24KG and do a solo tour. I see a new Fleetwood Mac album coming out sometime in May or June, 2016. With all of the material they say they have, I also see the possibility of another Fleetwood Mac coming out sometime in mid to late 2017.

Following a record sell out tour in 2013, rock legends Fleetwood Mac are set to return to the UK in 2015 with their ‘On With The Show’ Tour. Currently on the road in the US, the phenomenally successful ‘On With The Show’ tour is presently clocking in at almost 70 shows across the country. Currently performing with their five star lineup, Fleetwood Mac will be joined by returning songbird Christine McVie following a 16 year absence.

The European run will begin on 27th May 2015 at The O2, London and will stop in Amsterdam, Cologne, Antwerp, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and Dublin culminating in Leeds on 30th June. Tickets go on general sale on Friday 14th November 2014 from www.livenation.co.uk

During Fleetwood Mac’s 2013 tour, the four members happily welcomed Christine back on the stage during their show at London’s O2 Arena, where she performed their classic “Don’t Stop” and received a wild ovation from the crowd. “It was so comfortable being back onstage with them as if no time had passed, and then we all started talking and it feels like the time is right. I’m really happy,” she commented. “As far as we’re concerned, she’s never really left. We are overjoyed to have Christine back on stage with us,” said the other members of Fleetwood Mac in a joint statement.

They'll surely be adding a lot more dates. London had three sold out shows last time so I'm sure they'll add at least one more to London and possibly even two. I reckon they'll expand to more European countries too.

Mick has vehemently denied they will be playing Glastonbury- to the extent I'd certainly rule that out. However, there are a couple of gaps where they may play other big festivals. Hyde Park? Isle of Wight?

The US tour ends 30th March. That pretty much leaves two whole months off before the Euro leg kicks off. That could offer up some recording time or solo dates for Stevie.

I'm not sure I can see them playing at any festivals really- doesn't seem to be their thing anymore. Its just that there was a time when they seemed absolutely nailed on to play at Glastonbury and yet there's now a big gap in their schedule where Glasto would have fitted. I just wonder whether they had a big money offer to play at another festival instead (Glastonbury doesn't pay much money and relies on the kudos of playing there).

I hate this open schedule. My brother in Berlin...has to go for Cologne if he doesn't want to miss out? Come on. Fill those gaps with some reality please and leave three or four days open for extra gigs before presale starts.

I think more dates in Germany will follow dont you?
Berlin is one for sure i think......

Thanks for the info. Best get tickets while we can- that could push prices up considerably. Recording time possibly? I would still be surpised if many of the gaps aren't padded out though.

I'm slow on the uptake- just realised this will be the first time in Europe for this line-up in 35 years. Excited!

I tried at 9 with O2 priority and was going through it for 20 minutes and it kept having trouble with my password so I temporarily gave up.

I decided to try again at 3 o'clock which I thought would be useless and I actually got 5 tickets in Block 13 for Birmingham for £80 each. I'm thrilled! Last year we went we were in Block 15 which was excellent but I think Block 13 is also ok. They'll just be a bit smaller! :]

I'm not an expert at ticket buying, but this might help.... and I'm sure you're not too late.

I'd suggest seeing what's available at the Livenation pre-sale tomorrow. If there is nothing suitable then go for the general sale on Friday. The longer you leave it on Friday, the less choice of seats you will have. It depends on whether you are ok with any seat, or are looking for a seat nearer the stage. People wanting the best seats will be trying to buy tickets at 9am.

I'm not sure how quickly the concerts sold out in 2013, but they did sell out, so I don't know what will be left on Friday evening.

You can purchase the pre-sale tickets from the Livenation website - you will need to register first. For the general sale on Friday you can either buy through Livenation or Ticketmaster.

It's a good idea to get an idea of the venue seating plan beforehand - you can find them at Seatwave/Getmein websites (they already have re-sale FM tickets for sale and have the seating plans for the venues). :)

It might be that you're too late. I remember last year they were practically sold out for Glasgow at 9am last year. You can always try an official reseller, just make sure you don't get ripped off.

Yes there's a possibility it could sell out by the evening. You might find something in the pre-sale tomorrow evening if you can't buy tickets during the day.

Resellers are a good option if they sell out. I bought a re-sale ticket last year. You can get good seats this way, but you will pay more. Good luck :)

I expect Amsterdam and Antwerp to sell out tomorrow. At least Amsterdam will go pretty fast. Last time two concerts sold out in two days i believe so i think Amsterdam wil get one extra. I paid a 98 euros for a general admission-ticket on the floor in Amsterdam. That equals 114 US Dollars.

Belgium is a bit more expensive. I paid 114 euros (133 US Dollars) for a seat in the first tear/ring just above the floor (all the seats on the floor were 114 as well).

OK Thanks they are cheaper there then here in the states.

The upcoming Mohegan Sun show tix ring in at US$138 dollars without the hammer charges from Ticketmaster.

The Hartford CT show was US$179 dollars without the inflated hammer charges from Ticketmaster. I think the seat was the second tier.

Fleetwood Mac add extra date at Genting Arena for 2015

http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/whats-on/fleetwood-mac-add-extra-date-8110676

Nov 14, 2014 12:37 By Luke Beardsworth Birmingham Mail

Fleetwood Mac have added an extra date at the Genting Arena for June 9, 2015.

The legendary band will play the former LG Arena as part of their huge European tour.

Tickets went on sale this morning (November 14) here.

The schedule for the tour means that rumours have once again started that Fleetwood Mac will headline Glastonbury.

Every year there is speculation that the band will play the festival, and a gap in their tour around the time of the 2015 event has fuelled that further.

Fleetwood Mac will also be touring with Redditch-born member Christine McVie after she rejoined the band earlier this year.

Fleetwood Mac sell out Dublin gig in minutes

The group will play the 3Arena in June of next year.

FLEETWOOD MAC HAVE sold out their gig in Dublin’s 3Arena in just minutes.

Tickets went on sale this morning at 9am, and it appears all standing and seated tickets were snapped up in approximately ten minutes. Impressive stuff.

The band will be joined on their 2015 European tour by Christine McVie, who has returned to Fleetwood Mac after a 16 year absence. They will play the 3Arena on June 20 next year.

Fans who managed to get tickets were fairly pleased, to say the least:

This is an excerpt of an article in the Stevie forum- "I don't know, because nothing can be done on that until we're done, and we have another seventy shows until this American tour is done, then we have Australia, then we have Europe. This isn't gonna be done until this time next year," Stevie tells ABC News Radio about the prospect of a new Mac album. "So, I don't know how I'm gonna feel in a year." Has she got the dates mixed up, meaning that Aussie/NZ will be after Europe and that's why dates haven't been announced yet, or is it possible that the Australasian dates are before Europe's, meaning that there should be an announcement soon?

This should be in a thread of its own. I am soooo proud of our band. When have they ever sold out a show in such quick time? This is such good news and a great ego booster for Christine to understand how valuable she is to the FM brand. She is the reason FM is doing such incredible touring business in 2014-2015.

Why the hell shouldn't they play Glastonbury? They've probably sold out their tickets for the UK dates and they have an available slot for the festival. It would help to sell THOUSANDS more of their albums and it would just make them even more popular in the UK.

There is no excuse and it is frankly stupid. Michael Eavis has said that they're not playing though so I can't see how they would now.

I am so happy that I managed to get tickets. It was a miracle I managed to in 2013 because they sold so fast, but this tour seems to have set a new precedent. I will be very fortunate indeed to have seen them in '03, '09, '13 and now '15 - when I became a proper fan, just after The Dance ended, I never believed I would see them perform live again.

Dammit, just found out they have added a second Manchester date (usually get an email off Live Nation) but the best seats seem to have gone.

I think I'll bide my time now and save up hoping a front block seat comes along nearer the time like I did in 2003. Managed to get three tickets all at the front then.

I find that EXTREMELY suspicious that they've left 10 days from the 20th - 30th of June between shows when the Glastonbury weekend is the 26th - 28th.

Mick has seemed pretty adamant though that they're not doing it. I'm thinking whether they've changed their minds and next year they'll say something like "Well, we managed to change a few things around and fit it in."

With these dates they're just winding us fans up!

My guess is they won't play it, because Mick will look bad having said that they definitely won't - but it is very odd that those dates are free;)

I still think Dublin will get more than one show though, don't they normally play there at least twice? I'm sure they could sell out more dates at the 02 as well.

We all believe Mick can be a bit dodgy with the truth but I don't think even he would be so adamant about something and then go back on it. For my money they were originally planning on Glastonbury but I bet BST Hyde Park (Saturday 27th June) offered substantially more money.

Yeah, I've been there tons of times and I'm always amazed by how intimate it feels. Back in 2009 I saw the Nine Inch Nails tour there and was literally at the top right at the back but still felt part of the show.

Re Glastonbury I imagine that they're probably playing it, there's generally an older 'classic rock' headliner one night and they are in the UK at the time.

Interesting- I gather Mick's Facebook page has an error- it lists 22nd and 24th June as 'Bristol' instead of London. Obviously Bristol was typed in instead of London but somebody must have been thinking about Bristol beforehand for some reason.
Bristol is the nearest city to Glastonbury.

I go the O2 all the time, as it's less than half an hour from where I live. I saw the Mac show last year with Christine, and I agree there is no poor seating. This year I'm going to see Morissey, and next I'm hoping to see Bonnie Tyler, and of course, Fleetwood Mac. I'm already going to see them in December though, so I'm still debating on whether or not to get those.

It shows you have to take everything he says with a pinch of salt. I'm not sure what to believe now though regarding the Glastonbury festival.
Its one thing being cagey in front of 30 or so people at a m&g. Its a different thing altogether to labour a big point and lie on a national radio station. He'd effectively be lying to the whole world- surely he isn't that stupid.

I just wonder about the ticket prices here in germany. Here are higher taxes but this is just not serious....

The first 10 front rows in Cologne costs 293,- € each !
If you want seats between row 11 to 23 you have to pay 178,- € !

Are there any other venues with this expensive prices ?

As far as Glastonbury goes, it doesn't really matter whether they play or not since the tickets have long ago sold out.

Why would they have a 6 day break in the middle of the tour, conveniently around the biggest festival in the UK, who openly want them to play?

The Who are doing the Friday of BST and Taylor Swift the Saturday (same weekend as Glasto) so it rules them out of that (unless there is a Sunday gig there).

It is getting to the point, with those run of dates, that it makes more financial sense to DO the Glastonbury gig. That's already sold out and with the UK tour now sold out, there's no conflict of interest from a ticket-selling point of view.

Basically, I take what Mick says with a massive pinch of salt. Yes they might not be physically booked yet, but if the two parties aren't trying to thrash out a deal, I'd be amazed.

A sold out UK tour, with a headline Glastonbury slot (and all that comes with that) = KERCHING $$$$$$$$$££££££$$$$$$$$££££££££$$$$$$$$

I'm going to see Fleetwood Mac at the LG arena. After wasting 10 minutes on the ticketmaster site which only offered seats near the back at a lot more than their face value I gave up, and tried the LG site. Wish I'd done that at first. I'm on the 19th row from the stage. Not bad, but I would have been closer if I'd gone to the LG site as soon as they went on sale. This is my 2nd Mac concert. The first was in 1980. 35 years apart, and the same line-up. Can't wait!!!!Rich.

The latest betting from William Hill is interesting re; Glastonbury - Foo Fighters and Fleetwood Mac still favourites to headline.

http://sports.williamhill.com/bet/en-gb/betting/e/6190307/Who%2bWill%2bheadline%2bGlastonbury%2b2015%2b%2528Sunday%2bon%2bPyramid%2bStage%2529.html

They really will be making a massive mistake if they don't play. The timing seems so right, will all five be up for it in 2016 or later?? I'm not so sure:shrug:

They sure know what evenings to pick for Amsterdam, a Sunday and a Monday, glad I don't live too far. I think I'll get a ticket after work. It's just too tempting

This is true, although the reason it does matter is that we'll get wonderful HD coverage of a Mac show on the BBC for the first time ever!

You're lucky you don't live far from the venue. I live 4/5 hours from London and I'm still contemplating going twice. I remember last year wishing I'd gone to 2 shows, as one just wasn't enough - it seemed like it was over in a flash. FM shows (with Christine) don't come around that often, we just have to make the most of it :]

I'd love to see them in Amsterdam too, but it's not going to happen, I have to draw the line somewhere

I know I'm very lucky, but I would have loved to take my dad out to a show, but there's no way he's going with me on a Sunday or Monday evening (he lives much further away than I do), so that's a pity... As happy as I am to go, I would have loved to share it with him, I hope I'm able to change his mind before the end of May!

Ok, I always whined and complained over the numerous times Stevie toured in the US the last two and a half decade on various forums and mailinglists, so when the lady and her band are playing your country two days in a row ... you just simply have to go twice (ok three times if you count Antwerp as well, but that's another country .. they talk funny overthere).

So I just already arranged a babaysitter for my kids and bought me a ticket for may the 31h as well :-)

Both times general admission on the floor ! YES !

The uk tour isnt sold out. Gigs are rarely sold out in the first few dates of tickets going onsale. As places like ticketmaster, etc dont release all of the tickets in one go.

That's a shame he doesn't want to go. I hope you manage to persuade him. I asked my mum if she was interested as she loves FM music but she doesn't like big concerts, it's not her thing.

hell no - they might release a few decent seats on ticketmaster but the rest are held back to create hype - and most of the time they release the rubbish seats first.

i know people that say they are happy to get tickets so far back and up high on the first day the tickets go on sale - just so they are going. i waited a few days and got a decent seat at the side of the stage near the front. it about creating hype, hype and then some!

if you get a decent seat on the first day of tickets going on sale - it is just sheer luck - as the ratio from crap seats to good seats - is huge.

thats why a week before the gigs decent seats will be on sale.

other factors come into play - competitions, VIPs that dont all get used, etc, all get sent back and go on sale.

So I bought a ticket to Cologne show, but 290 euros... that´s something... but Im sure I will not be dissapointed :)
funny that front rows costs even 800 euros or something like that... :D funny... that´s really not natural... the official sellers are like "it´s sold out"... but if you look at resellers... hey you can buy ticket to front rows... but give me 800 euros :D crazy...

it´s great... I remember the feeling, before unleashed tour, that I was like... god, I will never see Stevie or Fleetwood Mac... and god, Christine will never be in public anymore... and? I was on two concerts yet, Christine is back and I´m going to be on the third concert with Christine :D

I hope Stevie will change her mind about recordnig studio album... where is tha happines that Christine is back? her solo work is amazing, but now it´s time to be member of Fleetwood Mac... she was doing nothing for 4 years (05-08), and now so busy... so busy :)

Fleetwood Mac add fifth London gig to 2015 UK and Ireland tour Fleetwood Mac Tickets

Fleetwood Mac add fifth London gig to 2015 UK and Ireland tour

Fleetwood Mac have added an extra night in London to their 2015 UK and Irish tour.

Tickets for the original run of shows went on sale last week (November 14). Today it has been confirmed that the band will also play a fifth gig at London O2 Arena on June 26. Tickets are on sale now.

The shows will feature Christine McVie, who recently rejoined the group and performing with her old bandmates for the first time since 1997.

The band's Mick Fleetwood recently denied that Fleetwood Mac will be appearing at Glastonbury in 2015.

Despite Fleetwood's statement, the band have remained one of the favourites to top the bill at the event next year, though Michael Eavis has stated in recent weeks that the chances of the band headlining were looking unlikely.

"One of the things that I'd like to clear up is that we're not playing Glastonbury," Fleetwood told Radio 2. "A lot of folks think that we are, so loud and clear: We love Glastonbury and all the surrounding history of such a lovely festival but we're not playing it."

Fleetwood added: "No bad faith for Glastonbury because I just don't want people thinking it's us." He was then asked if this meant the band will never play Worthy Farm to which the drummer replied: "Never say never."

You can check out the tour dates in full, including the newly-added gig, below.

London O2 Arena (May 27, 28, June 22, 24, 26)
Birmingham LG Arena (June 8, 9)
Manchester Arena (June 12, July 1)
Glasgow SSE Hydro (June 16, 17)
Dublin 3Arena (June 20)
Leeds First Direct Arena (June 30)

Because it's expensive, haha. And when I go to a concert I want to be sure I'm front row-ish so I come 12 hours before the doors open. Doing that two days in a row would be insane.

Plus the second time is never the same. I once traveled to Japan to go to 2 concerts in a row of one of my favorite singers, I don't think the 2nd day was as special as the first. In hindsight I would've been OK with just one and saved me that $600.

If the artist circulates songs then it's worth it to hear different music, but if they have the exact same setlist I don't see the point...
